Join a club, get involved, play a sport, etc. Anything you can think of, Miami probably has.

Oxford offers many things for students to do and places for them to eat. At first there are so many options it's a little overwhelming!

What can be called downtown is called Uptown for us. It's right on the edge of campus, and our campus can be walked across in 15 minutes. Uptown has clubs, shops, and restaurants. There's even a little park. We even have a little movie theater! We have busses to take you out into Oxford to go shopping at TJMaxx or Walmart and Hamilton is only a 40 minute drive away.

The town itself has bars, clubs, shops, theaters, and grocery stores, and endless restaurants. But if you want to stay on campus there are always live shows being put on, screenings of the latest and greatest box office hits, dances hosted by one of the many dance groups, sporting facilities for everything you can think of and then some, university-hosted nature walks through the local forests, and the numerous groups and clubs to join or check out. Then, there is always frat-hopping, a.k.a walking around town to see what parties are going on at any given time.

I do not drink which is what a lot of people do here to have fun, but not everyone. I hang out with the people that don't go uptown on the weekends and I attend a lot of the events here in Peabody. We have movie nights ever Saturday night and the Inquiry center is always a cool place to hang out.

Intramural sports are a great way to stay active and play on a team with friends. The recreational center is also a great option for those who want to remain physically active or just compete in athletics. Other options for fun at the university include, but are not limited to: joining clubs/organizations, studying at the library (although some might not deem this fun), visiting restaurants uptown, and just hanging out with friends around campus.

Many students are encouraged to attend Miami campus events, but it is also a great idea to check out miami's extensive list of student and faculty run groups. If it's fun activity, there's a group for it!
