Several teachers teach from the course textbook, but also draw from their own experiences and other media/texts. Miami gives a well-rounded education because they stress that non academic activities are important, too. Learning comes from the classroom, but more importantly, I believe, outside of the classroom. There are many lectures, performances, art shows each week to further the education you can get from Miami.

Miami University is definitely small but with so many activities to partake in it will most certainly keep you busy and have you traveling all over the country. Greek life is a huge part of life on campus. Scenery is always beautiful (including the beautiful people ;-])

Good programs, especially the business program, but it still encourages a liberal arts education. Only around 15,000 undergrad, so it has a slightly more personal feel - once you meet someone, you will probably see them around campus once or twice. Absolutely beautiful campus with history - fair warning, though: all the buildings (and people) look the same.
