Food is better than you would expect, however, dining hall hours are not the greatest. It's a good idea to have some food stocked up in your room as well.

Again, I am not a resident, so I donâ??t eat in the halls often, but I have eaten in them before. Every time I've eaten in the dining halls, the food was very good. I have talked to the residents because they eat there all the time. They say that after a while, because of few choices, the food gets dull and redundant. Thereâ??s a lot of starches served, and not much fruit. I also hear complaints about how some halls aren't always open. In terms of size and seating space, there is plenty of room. McNair and Wadsworth especially have a lot of space. DHH, the smallest dorm, has a very small eating area, but, in my opinion, it has the best food. Based on my own experiences and those of my resident peers, I give the food and dinning a 3 out of 5.

Average, you can find healthy choices, you just have to be smart about what you are choosing to eat.

There are two restaurants in Houghton, well okay there are more than that, but you can get two types of food, Chinese cuisine or greasy spoon typical food, take your pick, that's all you'll be eating if you come here.

Its a small school so they use the leftovers from yesterdays lunch for today's dinner. They are creating a garden however so that fresher foods will be used in the upcoming years supply. They also have some of the best views if you sit near a window, being able to look over the portage during all seasons makes the dining pretty enjoyable.

The dining hall food doesn't tend to be the best but some days the food can be really good. Around holidays there is usually a special dinner where they go all out on the food so be sure to go on those nights. If you prefer to cook though there is a close grocery store on the edge of campus along with a few fast food places otherwise you will need to drive to get to the nearest Walmart or Tacobell.

I love Tech, but I hate the dorm food. The fresh vegetables and fruits don't tend to be very fresh, especially come January and February. I haven't found many entrees I'm particularly fond of either. I spent most of the year eating cereal and toast. The upside is that if you live in the dorms you get the unlimited meal plan, so you can just stop in for hot chocolate at 8 or 9pm in McNair if you feel like it and not be wasting meals.

It's very expensive and not very good, but there's a decent sized selection and you can go whenever when you live in the dorms.

Greek life at Tech is sooooo different from any other university. It is definitely not your stereotypical Greek experience. The Greek community is just that: a community. Each organization is unique and they all support each other in order to improve the community and the world.

There are plenty of sororities and fraternities at Tech. The Greek Life students put on different activities for students and fund raisers to help the community and charities. I am not too sure about what else Greek Life offers. I am not a part of it myselfâ?¦yet.

Greek Life Is present just as it is at most other Universities across the United States. The Greeks put their best foot forward to promoting a positive image around the entire Greek system. They do a lot of community service and most all of them have very good GPA's. Everyone has the opportunity to look into greek life at tech because they will often host fun things to do around campus or fun trips somewhere, so that people can learn what they are about and if that Fraternity/Sorority is right for them.

Greek Life seems pretty big on the Michigan Tech campus and also very publicized. Something that someone could easily become a part of if interested!

Greek life is really different than other colleges. A lot of people join Greek life at Tech when they wouldn't have joined at another school, because it is not so stereotypical.
