Michigan Tech is a little pricey, but the money is more than worth it. There are tons of things to do, places to see, and organizations to join. The teachers are dedicated to the success of their students. The university provides learning centers in every subject staffed by upperclassmen to help students do homework, understand concepts, and study for tests. They offer services to help students get a job, internship/co-op, study abroad, and many other services. Tech is definitely worth the money.

I go here for free, on a fellowship (so I am stuck here), I would never pay to attend this university. Why not pay to go to an amazing school like Michigan State, or Michigan? Why would you pay way more in tuition to live in an icecube with a bunch of dudes?

I think what you can get out of this school is way more than what you pay. If you want to go to a conference to better yourself, ask your department for some help, they want their students to be the best. The companies that come up for career fair are not just looking for internships and co-ops, they are looking for future employees. Tech has one of the best job placement I have seen. If you want to go to grad school, many of the professors own their own labs and many of them are at the top of their fields in research they will give you lab experience and opportunity to be published even as an undergraduate. This school will make your resume better than you could have ever imagined it, if you take the opportunities in front of you and run with them.
