    Academic Rigor

Mid-Continent has a unique learning experience. An experience that is understandable by all and open for further discussion, if additional help is needed. The grading scale can be trying at times, but that why we here, to learn to be the best.

    Tips for prospective students

My advice to anyone wanting to attend Mid-Continent is to be ready to learn and to be part of a family. At Mid-continent we learn as a family, and help each other anyway that we can.

    In three sentences

Out of the two colleges that I have attended, Mid-Continent University is by far my favorite. The fellow students and instructors are great. Everyone is so eager to help each other succeed.

    Campus Safety

I feel that the campus is safely guarded by our security team that works there. I know they have tons of cameras around the campus for our protection.

    Greek Life

    NONE!

    Clubs and Activities

MCU does not have any clubs that I can think of, but they do have sports there. We have softball, baseball, soccer (guys only), basketball (both girls and guys), and a dance/cheer team.

Great for these types of students

This school is great for business students and ministry students.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

MCU does a crosswalk at the beginning of every school year and its an amazing experience.

    Bang for the buck

The school has a very popular place to hang out at and it is called the Loft. It has a big flat screen tv in it and a pool table.

    What to do for fun

The campus is some what small and in the middle of no where so there isn't much fun stuff to do. But a good thing is that the school tries to plan events for the students that live on campus such as MIC night where you sing karaoke and movie night.

    Food and Dining

The food here is average. It depends on what day it is....FCT or Fried Chicken Thursday seems to be the BIG HIT! haha

    Dorm Life

Dorm life at MCU is some what strict. The boys have their own dorms and the girls have their own separate dorm. Other than that you can still have fun on campus as well.

    Academic Rigor

The school is pretty strict on grades especially on the athletes there.

    Tips for prospective students

For future students, make sure to keep up with your financial aid. For some reason, I feel like I the school more money each year. Also make sure to always be in class because a lot of professors give grades for being there.

    In three sentences

MCU is a private Christian college with high expectations of their students. They strive to make us great Christian leaders for the future. They also have kind and loving professors.

    Bang for the buck

Finding the right college was a difficult task for me my senior year in high school. I wanted to find a school that offered the exact degrees I wanted but for a price I could afford. If that wasn't enough I wanted a college that offered cheerleading/dance because I participated in both all 4 years of high school. Once I discovered Mid-Continent University I was blown away by how perfect the college is for me. I am able to study for the 2 majors I wanted as well as be a part of the cheerleading/dance team. I would say it is well worth your money for the best education.

    Food and Dining

Even though I don't live on campus there have been a few times I decided to grab a snack from the cafeteria. To my suprise the food was delicious! There is no doubt that any other student wouldn't enjoy it too.

    Dorm Life

Dorm life is something I haven't experienced but I do have friends who live in them. I drive to the college for classes because I live close enough. Even though I don't live on campus I do know that my friends love it! They enjoy the freedom of living on their own. They also like that they get to share buildings with other girls or boys and get the chance to meet even more people.

    Academic Rigor

Just like any other college you are going to have to do the work. When you are in high school you always had someone checking in on you to make sure you were completing your assignments, studying, passing classes, attending classes, etc. At a college level you will have to be accountable to yourself and make sure you do those things without any one else to remind you. Of course Mid-Continent University offers mentors to incoming freshman so that they can ask questions and use them as someone to be accountable to.

    Tips for prospective students

Although there are many tips I would give to prospective students, the biggest one would be to not let the idea of a bible based college intimidate you. Even though the school focuses on Christian studies it also offers a wide variety of other majors as well. The second tip I would give to prospective students is join a club or sport at Mid-Continent University. I myself joined the cheerleading/dance team and I absolutely love it. I have met so many amazing people and made more friends than I ever thought was possible.

    In three sentences

Mid-Continent University is one of the most phenomenal christian colleges there is. They are welcoming to all students and have a wide variety of majors to choose from. I would rate Mid-Continent University as a five star school.
