Around Town

San Francisco is just a little ways away! In the sity, there are many places to go such as Pier 39, China Town, Union Square, Alcatraz, and much much more. Berkeley is also not too far away and offers a wide range of entertaining, dining, etc.

Berkeley is a (free) shuttle away. There is always something to do if you bored right in dorms, too: take, for instance, mattress surfing down three flights of stairs! Did that!

Oakland is a large and diverse city, lots to do.

There is a bus which takes students straight from the college campus to the financial district in San Francisco, not far from the Embarcadero. Also, First Friday the art murmur is accessible by bus each month.

Hang out at Mills. There is always something going on. Visit the neighboring communities. Berkeley and San Francisco are also close and fun to explore.

I join with a couple of clubs.

Mills College is in the best location. It's literally at the heart of the Bay Area with easy access to downtown Oakland, downtown Berkeley, and San Francisco. There is always something going on, on and off campus. People go out dancing, check out the different restaurants in the area, or stay on campus for a club meeting or activity. Mills also likes to throw dances during various points in the year, which is just another fun way of bringing some spirit into the school!

Hiking the ill-maintained yet beautiful wooded trails, taking the Mills Shuttle to BART to visit the bay.

Walk around the gorgeous campus.

Go for walks on the trails and hang out in SF :) There is so much to do; your in the bay area.
