The Minneapolis Community and Technical College may not be for everyone - but there are ways to find out. - Check your educational plan. Does this college fit in with your plans? (Ex: Going to a community College for 2-years to save you money before transferring to a 4-year college) - Can you afford the tuition? Apply for the college and check your financial aid package. Also, check the MCTC website for scholarships: http://www.minneapolis.edu/Paying-for-College/Financial-Aid/Scholarships -Consider if you want to live on or off campus. If you want to live on campus then this college may not be for you since MCTC doesnt have on-campus housing. BUT there are apartments nearby that you can rent. -Consider how youre going to commute. The Minneapolis Community and Technical College has a parking ramp that you can purchase a parking card for. Or, if you prefer taking public transportation, you can buy a bus card from the book store which will last you the whole semester! -Find out some of the benefits of the college that you like. (Ex: Free health clinic services!)

Study groups are good. There are lots of opportunities to get involved on campus. I like that MCTC posts the work of students and has community involvement designed for certain days.

Be prepared to challenge yourself! Some sewing skills are challenging to learn, but so satisfying when you execute them correctly.
