Right on campus there is the Bullpen in the basement of the Centennial Student Union that was 12 bowling lanes and 18 pool tables as well as the Kinect, the Wii and a TV lounge. All sports games for students are free of charge using your Mavcard so students are more than welcome to attend. There also is a decent Mall less than ten minutes away from campus for all your shopping needs.

There are always activities in the CSU for students to be involved in. There are movies, games, karaoke, drawings and so much more. There are many clubs on campus and sports you can be involved in. The gym has many workout classes as well as any department. There is always something to do at Mankato.

» Read MoreThere are many events held in the Centennial Student Union most of them are free or inexpensive to attend. Almost every week a movie is shown in the auditorium and it is free to MSU students. Mav After Dark is a free event held each month with free bowling, billiards and other activities. There are also many cultural events to go to; food and entertainment is provided at a low price during these events. Nearby there are many parks to visit such as Sibley Park and Minneopa Falls State Park.

» Read MoreThere's shops and malls around Mankato. I haven't been out of the campus too much so I don't know. However, I'm near the Twin Cites which is only about a little over an hour away. There's a vast array of things to do there. Also nearby the Twin Cites is the Mall of America which is an amazing place to visit.
» Read MoreThere is a movie theater very close to campus that is very cheap and fun to go to. Also there are many shops in the downtown area including a mall which one can get to by simply taking the free bus system. There are plays and concerts that the school puts on for very cheap. There is ice skating in the winter as well.
