Around Town

There are many different clubs and organizations which offer activities weekly. Many campus associations try to plan events for every day of the week. If you don't want to get involved on campus, the town provides many fun outdoor activities such as golf/mini-golf, tennis, hiking trails, waterfalls, parks, and so on.

There is not a large selection of groups on campus, so find people like you and form your own. My friends and I go bowling and have Nintendo 64 competitions.

Skatboarding and listening to videos. Not much of a dancer.

Clubs,sporting events, musicial and threatical productions, sororitys and faternitys, work out center.

Being located in Joplin, you have many choices from food restaurants to spending time at the mall or catching a movie. With the location, you are just a short drive away from other major cities such as Springfield, Tulsa, KC, etc.

There is a movie theater around here, a mall, bowling, lazer tag, etc.

(This is not a party school; It's a dry campus). About once a week or so, CAB (Campus Activities Board) tries makes fun things to do: slip-N-Slides, zip lining, bingo, toga parties.

There is always activities going on around campus!

There are many things to do for fun. I just spend most of my time between my classes hanging out with friends.

Southern is big in athletics. Attend games and other campus activities!
