Do not be afraid to ask questions, make friends, and become familiar with campus. As a freshman I moved in early for orientation and took the day before classes to just walk around and become familiar with the sidewalks and how the buildings were laid out. The first couple times for supper I sat with people I didn't know, and I talked to my suite mates and room mate on facebook to get to know them. Be prepared and take your classes seriously. The teachers here generally want to see you succeed but do not take that for granted. They work hard and expect you to do the same. Use the CAS center. It is there to help you with your studies and it is free to use! Take advantage of that!
