I am a transfer student, and I transferred from a small town college. Montana State University is beyond better than my first school. University students make up a quarter of Bozeman's population; it's a beautiful town and offers an awesome student life. I am so glad I came here!

Not a very expensive school, even or an out-of-stater. My buddy who attends has a dad who is a Doctor, so money was not his primary issue, however I hear the aid is great.

Tuition is pretty low (but I'm in-state too), they offer a lot of great classes, and many of the programs like Engineering are among the top in the nation. Student Services also has a lot of helpful things for students, like SmartyCats Tutoring (free! well, paid for in fees, but oh well), the Math Learning Center and Writing Center (both free* drop-in tutoring and help), and the Office of Student Success (offers career coaching, help finding work, and other helpful services).
