Categories Comments Great for these types of students Hard-working Competitive, but not cut-throat competitive Intelligent Being willing to be pushed intellectually, socially, philosophically, and physically if you're into sports. Open to new ideas Engaging Enjoy small classes
Tips for prospective students Make sure you have a good, solid GPA and SAT scores: you can get alot of financial aid from these high scores. Being in the top 5% of your class and having around a 2100 or so on your SAT's can get you a full scholarship. Being in the top 25% of your class and having at least an 1850 on your SAT'S can get you a scholarhsip that pays for at least half of your tuition.
Bang for the buck The school is a bit pricey: $31, 250 per year, minus room and board. The bang for the buck though, is there. The learning is amazing and wide, the opportunities are endless, and the teachers and students are engaging, intelligent, personable individuals. Financial aid and scholarhsips and student loans are varied and many, though. The food in the Blue-and-Gray Cafe (Moravian's small cafe) doesn't have the best food, but the larger cafeteria does. There are many clubs and activities and sports to join. If you want, you could start your own club if Moravian doesn't have what you want.
Am enjoying being here The students here are very friendly and receptive to others. Most of the students here are of the same general socio-economic level, though. The culture club fosters relationships with those who are different from you and allows you to make new friends. The campus is the perfect size for making and keeping good friends. The shops and parks and sites around the campus and in the city make relaxing escapes possible in an affordable manner.
Am learning a lot This school absolutely pushes you to your limits and beyond, but not in an entirely over-stressed manner. Students here have teachers who are both mentors and friends. The professors here make sure that students learn all the material that is needed to be learned. The books in the library offer more opportunities to learn and delve into intellectual pursuits outside of the classroom. With engaging classes, students learn from the professors, other students, and even themselves. Internships and opportunities for research, volunteering, community service, and more allow for an even greater spectrum of knowledge and wisdom and experience.

Categories Comments Campus Safety campus safety is always around, however sometimes they will purposely try to get us in trouble for anything and it is kind of annoying.
Greek Life we do have greek life on campus
Clubs and Activities so many to join, most of which give back to the community some way or another. other clubs are geared toward your majors and interests. and of course we have our athletics.
Great for these types of students people who want to go to school for their education first, sports second. artistic kids. nursing majors.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus we have a couple of buildings on campus that are haunted, yes students still live in these buildings.
Bang for the buck even though moravian is expensive, it is also a private school so you are paying for a better education. moco will make you a well rounded student and you pay for ways to better the school. you also don't have to pay for things like sporting events, or gym memberships like at most state schools.
What to do for fun there are intramural teams that you can play on as long as you have a team together. you can join a club team, a club, or start your own. you can play pick up games in the arc. there are also things to do in very close proximity to the school like eating or drinking at roosevelt's or getting ice cream at the cup. you can walk into town to shop or get a bite to eat. there is also a club on main street. moravian also has buses that run on fridays to the lehigh valley mall or the promenade shops that are possible because of impact, they also do concerts and comedy shows for the school and public to attend. oh yeah and we like to party on saturday nights.
Food and Dining blue and grey is great, however you don't get much for one swipe so you almost always end up double swiping. the cafeteria is always changing, but sometimes the food gets dried out or is just tasteless by the time you eat. other than that it is great theres always something to try.
Dorm Life your dorm-mates are your family, everyone becomes very tight knit. you will make a lot of life long friends, and there are always new people on the floor so you will have a chance to meet many others you may not see in classes.
Academic Rigor classes vary in difficulty depending on major and teacher, but you can not slack off in any class because you will fall behind.
Tips for prospective students make sure you like a small school. get involved in extracurriculars. work hard in classes, and get help when you need it.
In three sentences moravian is a small school, that is very good in producing well-rounded students. it is very easy to get involved in the school, and to build up your resume. it is also very easy to build relationships with faculty and staff, which is a plus when it comes to resumes and if you ever need recommendations.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Moravian College is quite expensive. There is no doubt that most of the students are relying on financial aid and loans, such as myself. Moravian also offers payment plans, if needed.
What to do for fun Moravian College is located near downtown Bethlehem. There are plenty of bars a couple of blocks away as well as a beautiful area to take a walk. Bethlehem is a wonderful location as it is only an hour from philadelphia as well as New York City. Bethlehem is near many shopping centers which Moravian offers a shuttle bus to. Moravian also offers the shuttle bus to farther places such as New York City.
Academic Rigor Due to the student teacher ratio, the professors are aware of each of their students. Therefore, participation is necessary and other grades will be implemented other than paper or test grades. However, having a small class is beneficial as students are able to get the attention from their professor which they deserve.
Tips for prospective students Prospective students should be aware that being involved on campus is key to success and accomplishment. This is a small college; therefore, joining clubs and organizations is a great way to meet peers as well as build on your resume.
In three sentences Moravian College is located in the welcoming community of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This college is quite small which allows for a great student to teacher ratio. There is a great atmosphere on the campus which is desired by all.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus Safety are real police officers who can make arrests if need be. We have the blue light system that makes emergency calls when activated. I always feel safe, even walking to the parking lot at night.
Great for these types of students Students who want to stay close to home, at a small school. Those who want to work hard, meet new people that live close by, and those who want to travel.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Main Street in Bethlehem has tons of shops and restaurants that are not pricy. Also, many local festivals are held within ten miles of campus.
What to do for fun Bingo! Most Fridays, there is Bingo held in the student building. Students can walk away with IPads, tablets and even coffee makers!
Food and Dining The cafeteria has a variety of food options, though it will remind you of your High School lunch. There are several caf©s on campus that are great for picking up something on the go.
Dorm Life Depending on your dorm, you will love it or hate it. Some dorms have air conditioning, other buildings do not.
Academic Rigor Some courses are easy, in that the topics covered are familiar. However, there are a vast number of challenging courses that require a clever mind.
Tips for prospective students Work on your writing! Moravian loves writing and values communication skills.
In three sentences A small, tight-knit community where every feels welcome. The campus is friendly, the food is good, the people are better.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students Have a planner that you can write all your assignments due dates. Be open to try new things.
Bang for the buck You get what you pay for at Moravian. Everything that they have written about themselves is true.
Am enjoying being here It's a small campus, which makes it easy to get all the benefits Moravian has to offer. There is always something going on, something new to do.
Am learning a lot Moravian does teach you a lot.The professors are hands on and don't mind helping out at all. You can get started on learning about your major right away. Plus you take 4 classes instead of 5 classes while earning just the same amount of credits or more compared to other colleges. With the right amount of effort it is very easy to get A's or B's in the classes. Also, you learn a lot about college life. There are learning communities that can help anyone adapt to college.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Moravian is a great place for students who love to challenge themselves. It is a great place to learn anything and everything not just knowledge for your major. Moravian College is for those who want to be the greatest they can be!
Tips for prospective students Always reach for your goals. Your advisers, deans, and professor help you achieve anything. Everything is possible if you just work hard. Moravian College is an excellent school for you to become someone and earn a degree. Here you will be able to conquer and achieve more than you thought possible. Sure it is a small school but it is a fantastic school. Making friends was so easy here so do not go to schools your friends are going to. Make new friends, they may end up being the greatest friends you ever had.
Bang for the buck Moravian College make it affordable for you to attend college. You get a lot for your money. Liberal Arts educations are the best, in my opinion. Paying extra for a private school give you an education you cannot receive from a public or state school.
Am enjoying being here I absolutely love the Bethlehem area. Moravian College allows me to live in an area where I feel safe and able to have fun. The small campus size ensures that you know a lot of your classmates, of all ages. I enjoy the professors and the classes. The Deans make class selection easy and rewarding. I also enjoy going to a Liberal Arts school because you get a better education. You obtain wisdom for wisdom's sake not just knowledge for your major.
Am learning a lot I am learning a lot at Moravian College. I love learning because the professors make class interesting and are able to have a relationship with students due to small class sizes. I continue to learn each day because you are pushed to your fullest potential and that is what I love the most. Professors do not give up on you at Moravian, so do not give up on them!

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Only go to this school if it was your LAST RESORT, considering the school accepts almost everyone who applies. I know people there who didn't even a 2.0 gpa and still got in!
Tips for prospective students Moravian isn't diverse. So if you're looking for a school with different kinds of people, this is the wrong school. The school has it's own set of requirements you must meet in which you have to take one or more classes of essentially every major subject (ex. Spanish, Religion, Musi, Gym.. etc). So you're essentially paying money for classes that you don't even need for your major or even in general to take. Everyone at this school knows each other very well so keep that in mind. This school runs like a business, they will gladly take your money without giving you a proper education.
Bang for the buck The school is almost 40k a YEAR. You do no where near get what you pay at all. The school is all about appearance not actually quality.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Moravian is perfect for students who are eager to learn, organized, and who love to be involved.
Tips for prospective students Be organized, be prepared to learn, and get involved! Don't let a heavy schedule intimidate you.
Bang for the buck Moravian is what you make of it, so get involved in extracurriculars and do as much as you can with your time there. The cost is a little steep, but Moravian's financial aid department is very good with helping out and offering grants to students in need.
Am enjoying being here Because I am a very involved student, my schedule can be very stressful at times. However, my teachers and fellow students are always more than willing to help out, and they are very understanding of my course work load. My experience at Moravian so far has been a good one that's been full of opportunities for me.
Am learning a lot Moravian College pushes students to learn as much as possible in the short time they attend the school. It is not a place for underachievers. Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities on top of challenging classes; it makes for a vigorous schedule that requires organization and an extreme thirst for learning and involvement.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Smart people with slight quirks fit in really well here, especially those who appreciate history. There's a huge variety of people here, anyone can find their place.
Tips for prospective students Bring a window fan if you're in bernie-willie, the rooms are stuffy and not air-conditioned. Eat down on south campus as much as you can. the food up north gets boring really quickly, but good food is just a shuttle ride away. Also, everyone is really nice here. You can go up to a random person and start a conversation. Make friends!
Bang for the buck Bernie-Willie freshman dorm leave something to be desired. tiny and really hot through most of september. Other than that, the school really tries to keep up with the desires of the students.
Am enjoying being here The people here are so friendly, the campus is gorgeous, and the classes are great. I still feel as if i'm on vacation in a colonial town.
Am learning a lot Classes are challenging enough to keep you on your toes, and interesting enough to leave you wanting more.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus is very safe at Moravian. There has been no major incidents that I have heard of since starting. Campus police is a small group of individuals, but there are is not any major crime in the area to deal with.
Great for these types of students Moravian is great for students who want to attend a school that are motivated and hard working. This school is an intellectual challenge and offers many new points of view that may be alien to students. If you attend Moravian you must have a strong desire to strive for academic excellence because of the large workloads and high expectations from professors.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There are a number of odd bits of architecture scattered throughout the campus. They are often obscure and random, which brings me to question their purpose. I could think of many better ways to spend money to improve Moravian aesthetically.
Bang for the buck Moravian is on the expensive side, which is not surprising for a private college; however, Moravian is generally very generous in awarding scholarships to deserving individuals. If you get a decent scholarship to this school it is definitely worth your money to attend this school especially if you wish to work in the Lehigh Valley. Moravian has high prestige among employers in the area.
What to do for fun Join clubs and sports teams. If you do not feel confident enough to join a sports team at Moravian there are plenty of intramural sports you may join. There are also clubs for almost any interest you may have and if not it is simple to create your own club. A new fitness center has been built with a plethora of new machines to meet any of your exercising needs.
Food and Dining The food is decent but is limited in choices, which can get very repetitive. The food in the market place is buffet style so you get a decent amount of food for the price but the food is of lower quality.
Dorm Life I am a commuter.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared to work hard in most classes. Moravian professors typically assign large workloads so a good work ethic and organization is required. Join clubs and other groups on campus as much as possible. It is important to be active on campus and to get to know new people, instructors and administrators.
In three sentences A strong academic school with small class sizes and helpful professors. Students interested in the sciences and or education will find exceptional programs. Strong individual attention, but a lack of upper level classes due to school population.

Clubs and Activities 4 out of 5
Great for these types of students Active, kind, smart, and well rounded
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Many nice Holiday traditions are in and around Bethlehem.
Bang for the buck Pricey but the quality of the student is good because of it. The other students all come from good homes and families.
What to do for fun Tons. Bethlehem is very active and the college is fun. Make sure you join something though.
Food and Dining Pretty good
Dorm Life so so but it's not important to me! Friends make it the most fun
Academic Rigor 4 out of 5
Tips for prospective students Small but friendly. Join a club or sport. Get involved!
In three sentences I love Moravian. The other students are great and the professors are too! I wouldn't have wanted to go any where else.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Is annoying...that's all i'll say.
What to do for fun There's lots to do on campus for fun. Once you start meeting people you'll find lots of fun stuff to do.
Food and Dining The food is decent, although you should plan to gain a little weight. Unless you're preparing your own stuff you'll probably gain 5 to 10 pounds your freshman year. Off-campus dining is great though, and on campus there's a Starbucks which is amazing.
Dorm Life Dorm life is fun, but has a lot of downsides. There is no off-campus housing at Moravian, which really limits the whole living on your own, college life experience. Also with no off campus housing it really limits the parties at Moravian, because since everything is on campus, campus safety busts everything.
Academic Rigor Moravian College definitely isn't an easy college, but in most cases you won't feel overwhelmed. The work is challenging, but well worth it.
Tips for prospective students Prepare to not sleep. My first semester at Moravian I pulled over 20 all nighter's, lived off of soda and energy drinks and stayed up for more than 48 hours on multiple occasions. The thing you need to worry about more than anything else is time management, and if you don't manage your time well you'll be screwed.
In three sentences Moravian is a really great school with lots of opportunities to get involved on campus. It's also a really cool place to meet nice people, including some really great professors, and really friendly students. There's always something to do, and the classes are demanding, but it's well worth it.

Categories Comments Campus Safety VERY safe :)
What to do for fun go to downtown Bethlehem
Food and Dining Average college food
Dorm Life It seems pretty good.
Academic Rigor It isn't hard to get in or anything but you will still learn everything you need to know for your major.
Tips for prospective students If you want to apply, make sure you apply to scholarships and participate in extracurriculars because tuition is expensive.
In three sentences Moravian has a beautiful campus, has pretty good food, and is very safe. Bethlehem city is adorable and has tons of little shops and restaurants. The Lehigh Valley mall is relatively close too :)

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are always activities going on around the college, like movie nights, comedians, hypnotists, laser tag, etc. There's also downtown bethlehem that offers shopping, dining, and clubs. There are always parties to go to as well.
Food and Dining There is a lot to choose from at Moravian. In the Blue and Grey Cafe there is a salad bar, a grilling station, a station for sandwiches and wraps, and even a Pandinis and Starbucks. It also offers a variety of snacks and drinks to choose from. The Marketplace is buffet style and they offer almost anything. There are places set up to eat outside and overlook the soccer field. There is also a place to eat around a fireplace.
Dorm Life The dorms are average as a freshman. After freshaman year they have suites available and greek life. You will make alot of friends with the people on your floor and the RAs are really nice and helpful. They are not too strict, but they still make sure you're safe. The floors alternate between boys and girls.
Academic Rigor The courses at Moravian are challenging, of course it still depends on what classes you are taking. Your professors will challenge you to think about the material presented. The classes do involve a decent amount of studying to get an A, but it's definitely not too hard. Your professors are always there to help and almost every class has tutoring sessions or you could sign up for your own personal tutor for free. Every class I've taken has had some hands-on lessons that really help you to understand the material.
Tips for prospective students Make sure that you want to go to a small college because there is only about 1500 students. The campus is very small, so that is something that you have to want. I recommend getting involved in many activities and clubs on campus. They have a great variety and they are very fun. Also talk to your professors a lot! The classes are small so that you are able to have this interaction with them. They are always there to help and if you build a great relationship they could write you a strong recommendation letter.
In three sentences Moravian is a very small and close-knit college. You are able to connect with your professors on a very personal level, which is a very beneficial factor of the college. The campus is set in a great city with many places to go out to.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Moravian is in the middle of the Historic district of Bethelhem, so there are many areas to explore. Bus trips are offered by the college to go to the mall or other areas. The on campus group IMPACT sponsers a lot of fun events.
Food and Dining At first the food is good, but it starts to be repetitve after a while. More options would be nice, but there are appliances to cook your own food in the dorm.
Dorm Life I currently live on South Campus and it is awesome!!! Everyone is nice and it is like living at home. We are all friends and it is just a comfortable environment to live in.
Academic Rigor There are a variety of classes that vary in difficulty level. The beginner courses are usually straight forward and not extremely difficult. As you progress through your college experience, the classes become more challenging.
In three sentences Moravian is an amazing college that offers many opportunities to its students. Everyone is nice and the professors want you to succeed. I am happy that I made the decision to attend college at this wonderful school.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus Safety is great! The officers are very friendly and keep the campus safe. One downside is parking fines can get expensive so make sure you have a pass and/or park in the appropriate spots.
Clubs and Activities Wide variety of clubs and activities and you have the option of creating your own with the college's approval.
Great for these types of students Anyone!
Bang for the buck I find Moravian to be a great fit and has exceeded my expectations...but there's always room for some improvement.
What to do for fun Lots to see and do off campus in Bethlehem and beyond. On campus, there are plenty of extra curricular activities like sports games and clubs to join. There's a special movie playing in the auditorium every week and games/activities every Friday night in the HUB. Special events like a concert are offered on occasion.
Food and Dining Lots of food options on campus. Blue and Grey Caf© is great for a quick snack or lunch and the menu usually stays the same except for daily specials. The Marketplace menu changes everyday so there are more options, but it's really worth the price if you go in planning to eat a lot.
Dorm Life I am a commuter...
Academic Rigor All subjects require you to think, but some can be a (sometimes welcome) challenge.
In three sentences Moravian College is a great school with a lot to see and do on/off campus. The college's staff is very supportive.
