Categories Comments Great for these types of students Outgoing and friendly people fit right in at Morehouse. There are all types of people at Morehouse and you'll make friends your first year no matter who you are. Academic success is important to most people on campus, so driven , hard working students do the best at Morhouse.
Tips for prospective students Be outgoing. You're not going to meet anyone or have any fun sitting in your room all day. Get into activities, whatever interests you do it. Go to parties, have fun, live life. For academic success make sure you go to class and turn in your work on time. Don't fall behind b/c the work will keep piling on. Ask for help when you need it b/c help is available. Get in cool with your professors b/c you never know if you'll really need there help. FYI coming in class late and not showing up to class at all frequently is a slap in your professors face. They won't like that and will be less likely to do you a favor, trust me.
Bang for the buck For almost 40k a year in total costs, there is definite room for improvement. For starters, the cafeteria or the Caf could be waayyyyy better. Fried chicken Wednesday's are OK, but besides that you might get tired of eating pizza and fries every day. You get used to it though and it's not that bad, just needs some improvements. Could use some updated facilities. Like for me personally I would like a bigger weight room and another basketball court b/c Archer can get packed sometimes. Your in West End ATL so you're not paying for the scenic views, but you are really close to downtown so it's easy to get places. Costs do not meet expectations but you will learn to adapt. It'll be a good experience for you ha ha.
Am enjoying being here Atlanta is a great place to go to school. The city is fun and has a great night life. There's a bunch of other school's in Atlanta, so if you ever get tired of being in the AUC you can always head to Georgia State, Emory, GA Tech just to name a few and find something to get into. It's very easy to meet people and make new friends. You'll have PLENTY of opportunities to meet Clark and Spelman girls so don't worry. There will be a lot of 5 Star rated Spelman girls with deep pockets so, ummm yea. It really is a cool place to be, and the people and the whole Atlanta atmosphere really makes up for some of Morehouse's shortcomings.
Am learning a lot How you do and how much you learn your freshman year really depends on how challenging your high school was. To be honest, my freshman year was kind of a breeze. Of course you have to study and make sure you GO TO CLASS, but if you do what you need to do to be successful you'll be fine. I know kids that were failing basic algebra, so really it depends on your high school course work. Of course that was just your general core classes, not too hard. The rigor of the course work will increase as you matriculate (you'll hear that word a lot), but if you put in the work you'll be fine. This is all based on my freshman year though. The teacher's are good for the most part and you can get plenty of 1on1 time with your prefessor which is a great thing. Theres always help when you need it from student tutors and your professors.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Morehouse College is great for students who have family in Georgia. Its a bit challenging to get used to if you are used to living in cities such as Manhattan. However, if you have a car or you just have good knowledge of Georgia, then this college might just be for you.
Tips for prospective students If you are considering coming to Morehouse College, I suggest looking into buying an apartment. I also suggest having a car because its extremely difficult to get around. I also suggest that you network with as many students and faculty/staff that you can. Its extremely helpful in the long run.
Bang for the buck I am not too sure about this one. The school is quite expensive. I don't think we are getting everything we paid for. I suggest living off campus because it saves you a huge amount of money.
Am enjoying being here I'm not too sure if I am enjoying my stay here at Morehouse College. I am used to the transportation system from New York. I was able to just hop on the bus or train and go anywhere. Down here in Georgia, they do have the MARTA system, but it takes time to get used to. You literally have to use the MARTA if you need anything. Nothing is in walking distance, which is one of the main reasons I am not enjoying my stay here. I have to spend extra money just to get something simple.
Am learning a lot I am learning quite a lot. The majority of the teachers here are excellent and actually know how to teach. They have office hours if you want to have a one-on-one conversation with them. They don't play around because at the end of the day, its your grade and your money so they know to be serious about that. However, there are a handful of teachers who really shouldn't teach because they can't get anything done in a timely manner and then the student(s) end up suffering because of them.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This is an environment i can honestly recommend for anyone because Morehouse accepts students from every background imaginable. You name it, there's a sub-community for all your interests, needs, and background. There's something at Morehouse for every young man...
Tips for prospective students Stay hungry, stay focused, but remain humbled. Its very easy to lose your humility in an environment of success and in an environment of praise. Remember that with that praise comes expectation, an expectation that as a Man of Morehouse you are well learned, well behaved, well dressed, and well aware just to name a few. Learn to embrace the meaning of brotherhood and family, remain open minded, and never cease to challenge not only yourself but those around you.
Bang for the buck For the cost, you look at the facilities and around the campus and as a student of course you wonder Where is all this money going. No Morehouse doesn't have amazing athletic facilities, not many state of the art classrooms or labs, and no the dorms aren't hardly fancy. However the bang for your buck comes from the culture of Morehouse and the AUC. This is very much a community that forces one to be social and network. This network you build, will be something you can depend on for the rest of your life and the extensiveness of the network is beyond comprehension.
Did enjoy being here Initially I swayed about how much I was really liking Morehouse College. I mean paying so much money and having the West End be my welcoming mat, I just had my doubts. However this turned out to be one of, if not thee best decision I ever made in life. The people there were phenomenal and there was always something exciting going on. Its a one of a kind atmosphere that I'm blessed to have experienced.
Did learn a lot Learning at Morehouse College occurs not only in the classroom but in everyday happenings around the campus. This is an amazing environment for exchanging knowledge and experiences because of all the schools in close proximity bringing in people from all over the world of tremendously different backgrounds. How much you learn is only limited by your own desires.

Bang for the buck morehouse is worth every penny because the institution does its best to listen to and improve every student's concerns and academic abilities to fulfill their potential.
What to do for fun exploring atlanta with your friends or by yourself, interacting with students from spelman and clarke atlanta university, and becoming involved in the numerous amount of social clubs that the auc (atlanta university center) has to offer.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus During New Student Orientation (NSO) week, a program called A Candle In the Dark occurs in the wee hours of the morning. I can't tell you exactly what it is but I highly encourage you to attend. In my opinion, you aren't truly a Man of Morehouse if you haven't experienced it. Important Note: If you are attending the college, you are a Man of Morehouse. Once you have graduated, then and only then are you a Morehouse Man. Don't wear any Morehouse paraphernalia until AFTER Spirit Night during NSO week.
Bang for the buck Honestly, the campus leaves you wondering where the 40K is going. A lot of the buildings are in need of renovations. But don't let this take away from your campus experience. The students make the campus, not its facilities.
What to do for fun It is Atlanta, so the possibilities are endless. There are numerous malls that can be accessed via MARTA. There are shuttles that run to facilities in the area including the West End Mall and two MARTA train stations. Greek probates are always fun. There are always different events on campus to attend including the annual celebrity basketball game as well as homecoming festivities. There are parties EVERY week. Don't get wrapped up in these parties because they happen very often. Your education comes first.
Food and Dining The food in the caf is bearable. You can catch your good days and the bad ones. The meals get repetitive from week to week to the point that you can accurately predict what you are having to eat. However, there is a Papa John's, Kilgore Snack Bar, and Jazzman's Cafe on campus that you can get a variety of food from, but you have to pay for those. During your freshman year, you get $25 dollars each semester that can be spent between these places. After your first year, you can change your meal plan to include more additional dollars on your account.
Dorm Life The residence halls represent different learning communities dependent upon your major and career aspirations. For example, Brazeal Hall is primarily for iSTEM (Innovations in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) students. This is an easy way to form study groups and find students that have common academic interests. Also, there is a friendly rivalry between freshmen residence halls. We have step team and stroll team competitions, and also a year-long competition for residence hall of the year. Now, for the bad. Bathroom facilities are communal so they are shared with everyone on your floor. Not all men are sanitary, so it can get a little annoying. Another bad thing is that freshmen are not allowed to have female visitation in the residence halls until after homecoming, which doesn't happen until mid-October.
Academic Rigor Classes get tougher as you get farther into your major. Your freshman year should be a breeze as long as you attend class and study very often! Take your freshmen year as an opportunity to take easy classes and pad your GPA before the tougher classes roll in.
Tips for prospective students Any skills that you have (instrumental, singing, art, etc.), use them to your advantage. These skills will help you gain titles on campus that will pad your resume for the future. Also, at the end of your orientation week you will be paired with your Spelman sister. Don't take this as your next target as a girlfriend. Your Spelman sister is your link to Spelman College and all of it's opportunities whether that means other Spelmanites, classes, or even jobs. Treat her like a queen.
In three sentences Morehouse College is internationally known for producing successful African American men. A Morehouse education is a cultural experience like no other. Once you graduate as a Morehouse Man, you join a network of fellow Morehouse Men who will do anything to help you along your path in the future.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students who are either excelling in school, or have the unlockable potential to excel in life.
Tips for prospective students Know yourself. =)
Bang for the buck A bit on the costly side, however if all goes well in the financial aid department, everything will be ok.
Am enjoying being here The campus is beautiful, and the people that one meets here are exceptional.
Academic Rigor Without a doubt, my mind is being exposed to greater pleasures, as well as being expanded to greater intellectual levels.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Academic, studious, competitive, hard-working, and diligent. Also works for the party hoppers and binge drinkers, just remember that you have to go to class sometimes. Stand out and be yourself!
Tips for prospective students Apply for as many scholarships as you can and remember that this is a college setting, even though it may be reminiscent of high school at times. Your GPA and National test scores will mean everything upon graduation so if you can't really afford to screw up early on. Enjoy your time in college, but always remember what you are there for. Morehouse will treat you well, as long as you smile and stay clear of the financial department.
Bang for the buck I'm currently paying about double of what the tuition is at Georgia State... Per semester. My student loans will probably eat me alive. The academics are well-founded though, and many of the experiences found here at Morehouse cannot be found anywhere else in the country. I really appreciate the opportunities given here at Morehouse and I will be a proud graduate soon.
Am enjoying being here Most of the professors here are kind and care about the academic well-being of their students, but like all colleges there are some professors who are only here for a paycheck. The atmosphere in the Biology field also creates a Dog Eat Dog mentality with classmates which will make it hard to find worthwhile help. Persevere and keep your eyes on your goals and you will do well.
Am learning a lot The field of Biology at Morehouse College is very detailed and taught by some of thud most distinguished professors in the United States. The Biology track here is also very rigorous though, and many will drop out of he program immediately if you are brave enough to continue, just know that it won't get easier. Study hard and work harder.

Categories Comments Campus Safety on campus its a pretty safe environment but we are located at the west end of atlanta which isn't the best neighborhood but as long as you travel with others and take the shuttle/marta from campus to nearby places you will not have much to worry about!
Greek Life we have all of the fraternities that are apart of the divine nine and other recognized fraternities we have are phi mu alpha and groove phi groove.
Clubs and Activities we have many clubs and activities. band, glee club, football, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, fishing, swimming, track, journalism, and we have others that i cannot think of right now.
Great for these types of students morehouse is great for academically sound students that are focused and ready to excel!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus an unusual tradition at morehouse is crown forum. most students at other colleges get this confused with their town hall. i explain to them that we have town hall as well but crown forum is mandatory for all students to attend at least six per semester where guest speakers(speakers are often well known) come and share experiences etc.
Bang for the buck morehouse college is a great school with a lot of opportunities. i am a finance major and i can tell you there are always companies on campus looking to give internship and jobs!
What to do for fun we have hump wednesday which is a block party for auc students, clark has market thursday, spelman host market friday. a lot of greeks come out and stroll at market fridays and hump wednesdays.
Food and Dining most students like the part of the cafe where you can get burgers, turkey burgers, fries, philly cheese steaks, and pizza. you also have your choice of a 3 course meal which also includes meals for vegetarians. the cafe also have a pretty good salad bar. there are other places on campus such as jazzmin's, papa johns, and the tiger's den
Dorm Life i never stayed on campus so i really cannot chime in on this!
Academic Rigor most of the professors you will encounter are fast pace and do not accept late work regardless if you have an excuse for being absent or whatever the case maybe.
Tips for prospective students to all prospective students make sure you fill out tons of scholarship applications because morehouse is expensive. make sure you build strong bonds with your brothers and spelman sisters. stay focus because classes are fast pace.
In three sentences morehouse college prepares young men for their professional and personal life. classes are usually limited to 30 students or less. professors are very knowledgeable on the subjects he or she teaches.

Categories Comments Campus Safety campus is pretty safe. you just have to be smart and aware of your surroundings.
Great for these types of students anyone looking to expand their views on life in general.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus you would have to be a student for me to release this information.
Bang for the buck you truly cannot put a price on the morehouse experience.
What to do for fun there's always events on or around campus for whatever your taste may be.
Food and Dining the food is decent. fried chicken wednesdays are a big hit!
Dorm Life you truly join a brotherhood in your residential hall. conversations that you have in residential halls embody the morehouse mystique.
Academic Rigor it is not impossible to do well, but you won't skate by with no effort.
Tips for prospective students make sure that you read and write as much as possible. also make sure that you stay abreast to current issues.
In three sentences i love the college, don't always like it, but i love it. morehouse is filled with history. the experience at morehouse is unlike anything anywhere else.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Police security has been better at not allow any an everyone on our campus, checking I.D.s every time you leave campus and re-entering. Room checks continue to prevent any dangerous items or people from destroying Morehouse College good name.
Greek Life In every campus the fraternities have their mark. Once you hear the chants and see the strolls you automatically get pulled in to the college atmosphere. Alphas, Kappas, Omegas, and Sigmas can be found on our campus at any time of the day. Joining a brotherhood such as these is a difficult decision, make the correct choice.
Clubs and Activities The clubs here allow you to introduce yourself to an entire different group of individuals with the same strengths and weaknesses of you. It is up to you to pick the right group to join. Either it is the NAACP, or the Honors Program.
Great for these types of students For any young man that desires to better himself and truly challenge his mentality for getting what he can while its there, this is the perfect school for them.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Their are not any unusual traditions but their are some night time activities such as man hunt. These simple games take place with team of males and females. Luckily for us, Spelman is an all female school across the street. The young ladies join in these activities from day to day.
Bang for the buck On campus students are given alot of discounts on any item of desire, even off campus. Being a student is profitable for you at times but can still hurt you.
What to do for fun Being an athlete has its perks. Most of my fun is during the weekend when I am listening to music, going to a couple get together's or playing basketball. No matter what the day something is happening on campus.
Food and Dining Funny thing about the food on campus will continue to be the same. Cafe food is the same as that of when you were a child. The only difference is the wide variety of different foods to choose from.
Dorm Life Not much can be said about staying in a dorm. The thing to remember is you sleep there you do not live there. Confused are you? You actually live in the study halls. Staying in any dorm depends on your year in college. Freshman dorms are said to be the most immature but continue to be active. Where as being an upperclassmen academia are taken more seriously and the halls of those dorms are quiet. In the end your dorm life is ultimately up to you.
Academic Rigor The professors do not allow any excuses for being late or missing class. Docking off points on your grade can come very easily, but you must be in class in order to pass. Test can save you in most cases but homework and quizzes must be taken seriously.
Tips for prospective students In order to succeed here you must study and apply yourself. Parties and the fun times will be there, remember why you went to college.
In three sentences This institution, has become more than a school. Morehouse College is a college that will challenge your mental capacity and forces you to fight for what your true desires are. Failure is not excepted, and mediocrity is not an option.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Morehouse College is open to the public and is very easy to access. Some students have been robbed and the police force lacks in their department of maintaining a safe environment. However, students quickly understand the do's and don'ts to maintain personal safety. For instance, students are encouraged to lock their doors every time they leave the room and travel with groups at night. Morehouse students are usually targeted for robberies so wearing Morehouse paraphernalia is strongly discouraged.
Greek Life You will easily know who is apart of Greek Life. Each fraternity always shows up for every event and are well known amongst the student body. Students cannot join until their sophomore year, but the students that do join are always active.
Clubs and Activities There is always something to do and always an organization to join. Opportunities for a leadership role are always available. Creativity is encouraged. Clubs will usually get together and make a huge memorable event.
Great for these types of students Enjoys Cultured Environment. Enjoys Hanging With Friends. Looking to make connections with upstanding personnel. Enjoys seeing in different perspectives. Respects Brotherhood Encourages Open-mindedness
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Classified. Telling incoming students the traditions of Morehouse will ruin the surprise of New Student Orientation.
Bang for the buck If you come to Morehouse on scholarship (which is very likely), then yes. The cost of room and board alone is worth it if you attend all that Morehouse offers. The students that don't do much on campus are the ones wasting their money. Enjoy what you paid for.
What to do for fun When students think of fun they think of off-campus activities. Morehouse College is right down the street from the Marta and students are always found venturing through Atlanta for a good time. On the weekends students are usually found in the illustrious Lennox Mall perusing through stores or enjoying the night-life at Atlantic Station. Parties are always advertised for those party-goers, and lounge restaurants are only a Marta ride away for students who enjoy a relaxing get-away. On Campus, Morehouse students provide Hump-Wednesday, which is a large get-together amongst all the AUC students (Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, and Spelman). Step teams show their moves, students dance and eat, and sometimes celebrities come visit. The cast of Think Like a Man came last year and Kevin Hart spoke from the mic. Students are also encouraged to attend sporting events, student-led fashion shows, Open mic nights (Thursdays), fraternity competitions, and more.
Food and Dining Chivers Dining Hall provides a wide assortment of dishes (some better than others). They will normally serve usual dishes such as lasagna, baked chicken, rice and vegetables. Other times students are surprised with frog legs, crocodile, venison, and seasoned tofu. Students always rush to get the fried chicken wednesday specials (fried chicken, mac n' cheese, collards, cornbread, and black-eye peas) and fried fish fridays specials. There are different lines to choose from, which satisfy the students' appetites (stir-fry, on the grill, pizza, salad bar, and main dish). Once students have their plates they can sit down and socialize with all the students there, watch T.V. (sports or news), or converse with the servers who always remember your face and greet you with a smile and the usual Southern hospitality. If Chivers' meal plan doesn't satiate the appetite one can always venture over to Kilgore Hall and pay out of pocket for some curly fries, subs, sandwiches, Chicken Fingers, Burgers, and more. There is also the option of Papa Johns, Freshens, and Jazzman's Cafe which are all on campus. If one doesn't want to eat on-campus food they can go to Spelman College for sushi (upcoming) or subway.
Dorm Life Dorm life at Morehouse College will make your college years your best years. You will meet tons of characters. The RD's and RA's are extremely dedicated to molding the students into respectable men. They are open to their residents and are usually found driving their residents out to get late night snacks and fast foods. Residence Hall pride is encouraged through RH (residence hall) step teams and awards for best hall. Nevertheless, all halls intermingle on a daily via the close-knit student body. Morehouse College also provides daily janitorial services and a Residence Hall Counsel which tends to the needs of the residents on a daily.
Academic Rigor Freshman work load varies between turn-in-questions, class presentations, and ten-page papers. The first semester will surely be an eye-opener to students who are still in High-School mode. The professors will work you hard and it is personal responsibility to assure deadlines are met.
Tips for prospective students Know your path. Know what you want to achieve and understand what it will take to achieve it. One cannot simply enter Morehouse College and expect to land a high-paying job in the socioeconomic world. Morehouse College offers connections more-so than clout. The College is not ivy-league and easy to manage; however, Morehouse is loved for the challenge. Know the staff. Be on top of everything in terms of financials, curriculum, and demands. Students who have financial problems are usually found in the financial office day and night racking-up on scholarships that are not advertised. These students take initiative and show the staff that they are willing to work for what they want. The same goes for students who are well in-tune with their major department. These students find summer jobs and research programs much easier than students who do internet searches, because they take initiative in their studies. The best students of Morehouse College are the most respected. The most respected students show the most initiative. Therefore, the best students of Morehouse College show the most initiative.
In three sentences Morehouse College does not provide its boys with a luxurious experience. However, the luxury is promised to those boys who allow Morehouse College to mold them into men. Howard Thurman said, “Over the heads of her students, Morehouse holds a crown that she challenges them to grow tall enough to wear.”

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is not enough and they do not actually protect the students.
Clubs and Activities I enjoyed being in the football field. I saw what the other club offered whihc were good. I just did not have time to join them. The activities were great. I truly enjoyed my freshman year.
Great for these types of students It is great for stydents willing to work and be around educated young black men and women.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus They force you to wake up super early to sing the Morehouse song and run around the campus through NSO.
Bang for the buck I don't think the tution should be so high but the jobs that are attainable afterwards makes up for it.
What to do for fun I play football and hang with my new friiends.
Food and Dining The cafe was either hit or miss. The main course could sometimes be good and sometimes be terrible. You will get tired of burgers and pizza.
Dorm Life Everything was good except the community bathrooms. It was not maintained by the residence enough.
Academic Rigor The rigor depends on the teacher but more importantly you work ethic. You know the assignments are coming so be good with time organization and you should be good.
Tips for prospective students I would say stay ahead in your classes and makes friends to network with.
In three sentences Morehouse is a very unique school that can either gain your love or hate. The message that Morehouse sends to the students either fits their personality or go completely against their morals. All in all, Morehouse is a good school to attend.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Although Morehouse College has its own security and campus police, Morehouse is situated in the run down West End neighborhood which comes with its own set of dangers. Just pay attention and be careful at all times.
Greek Life The Greek Life is exceptional. The Greeks on campus and that have pledge at Morehouse are the best of the best. They are the most prestigious chapters and are always doing things on campus and to help the community.
Clubs and Activities There are clubs and activities for any kind of interest you may have. From sorts to school and everything else, there is something on campus for everything.
Great for these types of students Great for students who would like to grow and be challenged not only as a student but also as a man.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The campus is very historical and Morehouse is deeply rooted in tradition. From the singing of the hymn to the Maroon blazers, it is a traditional school gearing students for the future.
Bang for the buck Morehouse College is very expensive to attend and they always nickle and dime you once you get there, but the resources and knowledge you gain as well as the networking is something you cant get anywhere else.
What to do for fun There are always things to do on campus. From Hump Wednesday, to Market Fridays which are pretty much parties hosted during the day by the schools, to interest meetings, to special appearances by celebrities to parties, there is always something to do on campus and you can always go around Atlanta for fun too.
Food and Dining The food is terrible. Morehouse doesn't actually do the food, they hire a company to do it for them. But the food definitly isn't worth the money.
Dorm Life The dorm life is so much fun. You'll meet some lifelong friends there. They do have quiet hours so you'll be able to get your work done but have fun at the same time.
Academic Rigor The academics are very hard and Morehouse College does have an attendance rule so you have to go to every class. Make sure you stay on your studies before you go out and do all the things that the Atlanta University Center has to offer.
Tips for prospective students Make sure that you have your money in order for school because the financial aid office is an understaffed unhelpful mess. But realize that when you get there Morehouse is an amazing place to meet people so learn to network and don't be afraid to meet people.
In three sentences Morehouse College is an excellent as not only an HBCU but also as an insitutution of higher learning. From a small campus environment with individual attention paid to students, to the amazing big city that it is in, Morehouse college is an amazing place to be for academics and networking.

Food and Dining could be better. I would say that have a variety. They also make an attempt to reach different cultures.

Academic Rigor Academics at Morehouse can and will be a bit challenging, but study hard and you will succeed. The library will be your best friend. Also find a study group.
Tips for prospective students My tips for prospective students are to be ready to have great expectations and be ready to be accountable for you own education. Also be ready to take on leadership and strive for excellence.
In three sentences Morehouse College is a great institution for leadership development. Morehouse College is an institution that is building tomorrow's leaders. The culture of brotherhood is wrapped tightly around Morehouse College.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Located within the heart of the West End there are a few safety issues. The campus police staff appear to be lack-luster at times this may be due to the comparisons to neighboring force guarding the impenetrable Spelman College. Overall you are adequately educated on the dangers of the surrounding area and your safety is first determined by your own decision making.
Clubs and Activities There are a great deal of organizations to get involved with on campus. If you can't find one of your liking their is always the opportunity to construct you own.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Crown forum is an event held on Thursdays in the renowned King's Chapel. During this event famous speakers and alumni come and address students on informative issues.
Bang for the buck To be honest you would be paying more for the name of the college than the education itself. Morehouse has gain recognizable status in society and the name the brand carries opens many doors. But through an increase in Alumni giving and better expenditures on the colleges behalf its amenities can be brought up to the high standards the name carries.
What to do for fun You're in Atlanta attending a school that borders Spelman and Clark Atlanta University need I say more. There will always be an event or someone promoting something that may catch your interest. Campus life is entertaining especially an event known as Hump Wednesday reminiscent of a campus block party held every Wednesday.
Food and Dining You will hear many complaints about Chivers cafeteria but the food itself is not horrible. These complaints may stem from the hours of operation or even the menu choice. Overall the cafeteria will be a place of philosophical and heated discussion that are often extremely entertaining.
Dorm Life The facilities themselves are lacking. The university often uses the word historic to forgo to the upgrading of amenities. Although the residential halls (not dorms) are somewhat lacking they foster a brotherhood that will last well beyond matriculation.
Academic Rigor You have to opportunity to succeed and everything is there for you it is only up to you to take advantage of the provided tools. If you truly apply yourself you will reap the full benefits of a Morehouse education. But it is extremely easy to become distracted by the happenings in the Atlanta area.
Tips for prospective students Do not get caught up in the many things the city of Atlanta has to offer. Many students go down to the Atlanta University Center (AUC) and are swept up in the party-life and lose sight of what they are down there for in the first place. Take full advantage of the classes you take your freshman year because they will in fact be the easiest and the cornerstone of your GPA.

Academic Rigor Very hard but obtainable. Do your work. But still allow yourself to relax.
Tips for prospective students Do your best. Do not take the school lightly. It will help you in the long run.
In three sentences The college is very rewarding. Helps me understand who I am. Provides me with an excellent education.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for students who do not like the huge college experience and want to have a more personal experience.
Bang for the buck Morehouse could definitely offer more bang for your buck. As great as Morehouse College is, it is somewhat of a gritty school. You will need to struggle some, and this struggle is what makes you a distinguished man of Morehouse. There are some things that Morehouse students complain about; food, administration, teachers, financial aid, but overall the experience is unmatched and exceptional.
What to do for fun There are a lot of fun things to do around campus. A campus organization called C.A.S.A is generally responsible for putting on events around campus. Every Wednesday there is a block party called Hump Wednesday because it represents the hump of the week. Every Thursday there is a poetry jam at Jazzmynes cafe. During the week you can find many random events including plays, music jams, movie showings or you can choose to be old fashion and just sit outside and enjoy the Atlanta weather. Also, if you ever get tired of Morehouse students the lovely ladies of Spelman are right next door and the students of Clark Atlanta are close by as well. The three schools share a bond with each other and the students interact daily. Also off campus Atlanta has tons of things to offer.
Food and Dining The dining hall at Morehouse College is called Chivers Dining hall. Any Morehouse student will tell you Chivers does not resemble a 5 star restaurant so dont get your hopes up too high. Chivers does make an effort to give you creative entrees. The cafeteria does offer three meals and some staple points that if you eat you should be on the safe side. The best options are the burgers, friends, stir fry line, fried chicken, rice, and fish. Besides the food, sometimes the serving times can be frustrating. If you miss the cafe at the main serving times, you can still get food around campus. The other options are Kilgore plaza where they serve amazing chicken tenders. Also there is a Papa Johns, Jazzmans cafe and a Freshens for all your other needs.
Dorm Life The dorms are not top tier but they do serve their purpose. As an freshman your dorm options are very limited. This is because the administrations wants to give the freshman a more structured experience. As an upperclassmen you have more options including the best dorm on campus called the suites. The suites allows you to have a single connected by a common room. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms in every suite. One has the option of having a suite with a kitchen and stove top as well. This dorm is the most popular because of the freedom each student has. Overall Morehouse dorms do a great job of creating a community sense between the students. Generally when living in the dorms, you pick up many new friends.
Academic Rigor Morehouse College is very rigorous academically. Though a student's individual work load will depend on their major, generally an average night has at least 3 hours of homework. While a student at Morehouse you should always maintain a work calendar because long term projects need to be handle in increments. With daily assignments and long term assignments if you wait too long they can definitely become overwhelming.
Tips for prospective students I encourage you to apply to Morehouse, visit and speak with the students. One thing you will notice is the overall upbeat rapport of the students. At Morehouse is important to get involved on campus and really make the teachers and staff your friends. Morehouse will give you back everything that you put into it, so the more effort the better.
In three sentences Morehouse College has turned the educational experience of college into a community improving experience. At Morehouse College your are challenged to do your best but what makes it special is the brotherhood you develop. While you strive to do your best your brothers will be with you stride for stride doing their best as well.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Morehouse Security does a pretty decent job of keeping people safe on campus, people generally get into trouble or danger when they venture off cmapus.
Greek Life The greek life is very energetic and active on campus. Each fraternity and sorority are active on the yard.
Clubs and Activities There are many sports and organixzations that you cna join at Morehouse, it depends on what you like and the time you want to dedicate to your hobbies.
Great for these types of students Students who like a small classroom setting will love it here and students who like alot of on campu sevents will also be delighted as well.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Location of the campus is in the hood of Atlanta, so be careful when walking to places.
Bang for the buck It's very expensive and I honestly would like to see our money go to more on campus resources.
What to do for fun There is always a event in your dorm, on campus, or off campus so you'll never have a boring moment and there is always something to do on the weekend.
Food and Dining The cafe is decent and has good food on certain days.
Dorm Life On campus is ok but expensive for no reason.
Academic Rigor The academics are challenging and will challenge your knowledge.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you study hard and prepare for all test and assignments early.
In three sentences Morehouse is a challenging school. It helps you network. It teaches you how to connect with other people and establish a brotherhood.

Bang for the buck Morehouse is very pricey!... Tuition is over $30,000/year and it keeps going up. Scholarships are your best bet, otherwise you will rack up on student loan debt.
What to do for fun -Read and follow current events -Listen to music -PS3 -The Gym -Shop
Food and Dining Fried Chicken Wednesdays! LOL
Tips for prospective students -Don't miss out on the experience -Don't expect a handout -Give it your best shot -Don't give up

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are parties every single night in the AUC area and party buses come to the school to pick students up but you have to find your own way back. Outside of the AUC, in downtown ATL, we have the popular tourist stops like the Aquarium and Coca-Cola, but there's so much to do on campus. Just wait until the Fall... you'll see.
Food and Dining If you don't expect for the cafe to serve five-star, Olive Garden quality meals, then you're already off to a good start. The food is delicious and they offer great variety, including meal choices for vegans and vegitarians. The cafe offers a salad bar and pizza daily, but over time, you'll get used to the food and when that happens, you'll find yourself ordering food every night. (Please don't do that, save $)
Dorm Life Morehouse is an old school so some residential halls won't be equipped with the latest in technology HD TVs or IKEA quality furniture, but every residence hall is not the same, so find one that fits your needs. I recommend Graves Hall, which has the best view of the campus.
Academic Rigor Depending on your major, the academic rigor varies. For STEM majors, expect a tough schedule. Your courses will be in the daytime so at night, stay away from parties and study, study, study.
Tips for prospective students Manage your time and money and most importantly have self-control. If you never learn to suppress your urges, then you'll never become a man.
In three sentences If you want to see yourself in a leadership position or you want to discover yourself and find your roots and heritage, then Morehouse College is the school for you. Bottom line, this is a school for young men who want to become MEN. Have fun, but work hard and success, although not guaranteed, will certainly follow you.

Categories Comments Food and Dining Our cafe is really something special almost every other week we host a different cuisine. All you have to do is try the chocolate chip cookie and you will like your in heaven.
Academic Rigor Morehouse College will challegen you in so many ways and so many fashions that your head will literally spin. This is a good thing however because it will ultimately prepare you for the harshness the really world will bring.
Tips for prospective students Do not pick a major because that's what your parents want you to be. College is where many men and women come to discover who they really are. Stay true to your self and have fun.
In three sentences Morehouse College is a great institution for all races and all spectrum of the rainbow, you will not only find a wide array of races but a wide array of personalities that stem from both the students and faculty.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Inside Morehouse College, is a pretty save place. The area that Morehouse College is in called West End can be danger if you are not careful. Morehouse encourages their students not to wear Morehouse clothing off campus grounds. If you go downtown in Atlanta wearing Morehouse clothing, then it should be cool. The local West End residents might think you are an easy target if you attend Morehouse, but most of them are not looking for trouble. Morehouse College has campus police, and some of them look like incredible hulks walking around.
Greek Life Morehouse has all the fraternities you could think of. We have Omegas, Alfas,Kappas etc. Each fraternity has different colors and chants. They have Stroll offs(stepping) battles between each other. Some Fraternities have Barbeque's and cookouts, which are live. They have parties that they host, and if you are apart of their Frat, then you get in for free. The movie Stomp The Yard was filmed at Morehouse College, which is a movie with Fraternities step battling each other.
Clubs and Activities Morehouse has sport teams for almost all sports. They have a team for Basketball, Football, Baseball etc. They have a especially strong Football team. Morehouse has Business clubs and other clubs for different Majors. Some of the clubs go on road trips. They even have clubs for musicians and poets. Also, they have clubs with benefits and opportunities for your future. In the Business club( like MBA), you get to meet Morehouse alumni and they help you find business opportunities.
Great for these types of students If you are a student that does not get easily distracted, then Morehouse is a good school. Even if you get distracted, Morehouse has a saying, I got my brother's back. Other Morehouse students help you accomplish your goals.Morehouse is big on brotherhood. Morehouse College is the third Historically Black College University in the nation just behind Howard and Spelman. They prepare African American men for the world, but other ethnicity groups also study at Morehouse College. It equips men in general for the world. Some people as far as Asia come to study at Morehouse. The people at Morehouse, are open for learning about other people's cultures as well as their own. Morehouse truly respects all their students no matter what race.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus In the beginning of your Freshman year at Morehouse, you will attend this event called Olive Branch. This is the first time you meet the Freshman girls from Clark and Spelman. Olive Branch, is a big dance held at night on Clark Atlanta's football field. The girls arrive at the football field first and wait for the boys, then all the boys from Morehouse and Clark go to the field. There will be a DJ there. Also, another tradition Morehouse has is that Freshman get paired up with Spelman and Clark sisters. The Morehouse Freshman will walk in a straight line to Kings Chapel. The Spelman girls will walk from Spelman ,and a person will pair you up with a girl from Spelman and you will exchange contact information with them. She can become a close friend and introduce you to her other friends from Spelman.
Bang for the buck Martin Luther King Jr., Spike Lee, and Samuel L. Jackson graduated from Morehouse College. Morehouse is in Atlanta, Georgia, so there are many activities to do. It is an all boy school, but has so many girls around it. Spelman College is a school near Morehouse. Clark Atlanta University is another school near Morehouse. All the schools share the same library, and most of the events like Homecoming are shared by all three schools. Clark is a boy and girl school, but Clark has way more girls than boys. Spelman is an all girl school, and it has more girls in it than Morehouse has of boys. The schools are so close that sometimes when walking out of your residents hall, you will see a couple of girls on the stoop.
What to do for fun Every hump Wednesday, is outside or in the gym where we have a DJ. The DJ plays songs to get the crowd moving, and sometimes the DJ picks people from the crowd to dance on stage. Also, at hump Wednesday we have step battles between the Frat groups and other battles between the Sororities. Also, a lot of celebrities visit our school because Morehouse is well known. We have Celebrity Basketball games. Also, every year around October, we have Homecomings where celebrities come, and we also have dances during Homecoming. I would love to go on about how much fun we have at Morehouse, but it would go far beyond 300 words.
Food and Dining The food at Morehouse is pretty good. We have a buffet in the cafeteria. We also have fried chicken Wednesday, which is the only day fried chicken is served(sometimes they still serve fried chicken on other days). Also, we have a stir fry station, which is delicious. Some days, we even have a DJ playing music in the cafeteria while we eat. Sometimes, the lunch ladies be dancing to the music.
Dorm Life Freshman year at Morehouse, you meet people in your dorm. The dorm that you live in, will make up songs and chants that the dorm will use to fight against other Freshman dorms. All the Freshman dorms, will battle to see who is the most dominate dorm. At Morehouse , they like to call dorms resident halls.
Academic Rigor Make sure you focus on your goal and do not get distracted. Set high goals for yourself. Believe that you can achieve these goals.
Tips for prospective students Live be Morehouse's five wells. Be well spoken. Be well read. Be well traveled. Be well dressed and well balanced.
In three sentences Morehouse's students graduate to become very successful. When attending Morehouse, students learn to give back to the community once they graduate. Morehouse Alumni gives money back to Morehouse.

Categories Comments Greek Life Greek life is present on campus, but not the main focus of the school. Morehouse students more focused on bonding with all of their brothers.
Clubs and Activities There are a plethora of organization that you may join while on campus.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Morehouse Brother Sister Exchange, Step Teams, NSO Week, Olive Branch : UNFORGETABLE. Unusual place for the college? There are graves sites on campus of the past presidents as well as for old Civil War soliders.
What to do for fun Morehouse College is located in Atlanta, Georgia. Malls, movies, and other attractions are within small distances via Marta transportation.
Dorm Life Life in the residence halls at Morehouse is excellent. There are many late nights were you get to bond with some of your others brothers. That is the most amazing experience. You can learn alot from one another just by having a conversation. You will meet people from all across the country some of which may have the same ideologies as you and other may not. Morehouse is very diverse in culture.
Academic Rigor Academics are Morehouse are not a cake in the park. You will have to produce above average work. The professors will work with you at any given time because they want you to be successful. The professors will change you--and challenge is good because it takes your mind to another level.

Dorm Life traditional Dorms could be better. But on the flip side there are memories made that can never go away. the suites are cool.
Academic Rigor put it this way if you want to just get by you can do so, but at then end you will have failed yourself. If you want a challenge Morehouse has all the resources for you to utilize.
Tips for prospective students Have a decent application portfolio, and be organized with it. Doing more then necessary will show that you aren't just another student applying, but that this is important to you.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus security was questionable in the past but thanks to the current Student Government Association, the campus safety has risen dramtically.
Clubs and Activities There is a club for almost anything on campus and if there isn't the good thing about this campus is that you can create it if there isn't.
Great for these types of students Great for students who like traditions and those who enjoy having fun while serious about their education.
What to do for fun There are parties nearly ever weekend here in Atlanta just for the college students in the Atlanta University Center. There is a recreational hall here on campus where swimming, basketball, weightlifting and exercising, pool and ping pong occurs, not to mention that we are right next to Forbes Arena where many celebrities come to host their basketball games.
Food and Dining The food here is not 5 star and the Cafeteria itself sometimes does not meet expectations but nevertheless it is a buffet style cafeteria that has many choices to choose from and includes cultural foods weekly.
Dorm Life This campus is dedicated to make sure that you make the most out of everything and that means within your dorm. There are countless events to represent your dorm in games and events that happen around campus. Every freshman is highly encouraged and almost nearly required to have a roommate. This helps increase the brotherly bonds made here and increases the size of your network.
Tips for prospective students The tips that I will share is to make sure you come with an open mind because even though this is an HBCU it still has a bit of diversity on the campus. Focus on what you are here for; there are lots of opportunities to have fun but staying focused in your studies is imperative.
In three sentences Morehouse is an ivy-league among the HBCUs in the country, and it is definitely the best. The culture of this campus is highly centered around acceptance, compassion, togetherness and giving back to the community. This school has an excellent staff and faculty that are committed to the students to help them achieve academic excellence.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Now this area is just like any other urban setting. Atlnata has its fair share of crime but if you are aware of your surroundings outside the campus gates you will be fine. Inside the gates you are 100 percent safe!
Greek Life Omegas- Party Boys Kappas- Pretty Boys Alphas- Brainiacs Sigmas- Between omega and alpha
What to do for fun There is so much fun stuff to get into at Morehouse! From the different parties around the Atlanta area, one of the livest cities in the country, to the different activties on campus, there is no shortage of fun in the AUC!
Food and Dining The food here is a lot better than you would think. For the money we spend on an unlimited meal plan as a freshman, unlimited is definitely that! The burgers and fries are amazing! And there is nothing better than Fried Chicken Wednesdays!
Dorm Life There is nothing more exciting and fun then dorm wars between the Freshman halls at Morehouse! Between the different hall chants, step shows, stroll-offs, basketball tournaments, and residence hall Olympics, there is a lot of fun. Not only do you build a bond with your dorm mates, but you also meet other kids from other halls.
Academic Rigor At Morehouse College, your study habits and time management skills will be put to the test. If you surround yourself with people who know how to study effectively and are willing to help you, rather than people who constantly party, you will go farther.
Tips for prospective students 1. Make sure that you get enough sleep (roughly 6-8 hours). 2. School is your priority, partying can wait! 3. Get involved with student organizations.
In three sentences Morehouse College is the international headquarters for African-American male achievement. With a large brotherhood, and sisterhood across the street at Spelman College, success is inevitable. Between homecoming and daily activities, Morehouse College is the place to be!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Morehouse Police, along with Clark Atlanta Police, make sure that there is never a problem on and around campus. while they do take their jobs seriously, they are also extremely easy to talk to, and can even become your friends. However, do not ever take them lightly, for they are damn good at their jobs.
Greek Life Greeks are everywhere, and they are always bringing life to any program. if you are planning to pledge, then you will find alot of greeks willing to persuade you y=to their brotherhood. and if you go into the school without a single bit of knowledge on greeks, just like i did, you will learn ALOT within the first month and a half Guaranteed!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus there is a program in the beginning of the year that requires you to run around campus at 5 in the morning for the benefit of your growth. i cannot divulge the specifics of this program, but it does teach you alot about the values of being a man of morehouse.
What to do for fun Living in Atlanta, there is never a dull moment. whenever you are not playing in the recreational center or playing on the football field, you are probably going to a party on and off campus. all i can say is, there will be so much happening at once that you might become overwhelmed, but you cannot ever say that there's nothing to do.
Food and Dining at first, the dining experience will be a surprise and will please you, but just as school lunch has always been, you may find yourself getting tired of the cafe. the food quality is always great, and the hours are convenient, and the cafe tries its best to bring variety to the menu, but eventually too much of a good thing gets to be bad.
Dorm Life The dorms provide a clean, sanitary, and comfortable living space for the men of Morehouse. also, one will find themselves becoming closer to the brothers of your dorm, easily acting like one big household. just do your part to keep the place as clean as you found it and all will be well.
Academic Rigor Classes that are seen as academic requirements may or may not challenge you, that solely depends on your current knowledge going into college. however, with this being said, the classed designed for your major are designed to, and efficient in, teaching something new to the students. the work is challenging in many different ways, whether it be the difficulty of the work, the quantity of the work, or both. either way, there is going to be days where you might end up spending hours upon hours in the library.
Tips for prospective students for those who wish to attend the House, i offer small tidbits of advice. first of all, contact the school regularly, get your name known around the faculty, and even try to visit the campus. making friends in high places is highly recommended, in case you need help with...lets say... FUNDING. for those who are planning to attend from outside the state, like myself, i would recommend to learn your way around atlanta, especially the MARTA metro system. it is relatively easy to learn and the MARTA train is closeby the school and takes you just about anywhere in Atlanta. granted, the school's location is slightly isolated, yet close enough to the stores that carry the necessities. Lastly, is you are committed to coming to the school, MAKE YOUR FRESHMAN YEAR COUNT! Take that opportunity to establish a solid GPA (no lower than a 3.5) so you have something to fall back on as time progresses. trust me, it will help to have solid grades your first year. OH, and have fun! it's still college after all.
In three sentences Morehouse College is a Historically Black College focused on the matriculation of the future men, leaders, and pioneers of the world whilst also providing the young black community better insight and an interestingly new perspective on your black heritage vs the world, past, present, and future. Teaching the value of academic, spiritual, and moral growth, Morehouse creates an solid and profound brotherhood among the students, seeing the cohort not only as a student body, but as a giant family. This school is highly recommended for those young men who wish to find themselves and mature into the powerful leader they were destined to become.

What to do for fun Atlanta!
Food and Dining Once again the food isn't the best, but as a smaller institution the cafeteria gets the job done.
Dorm Life The dorm life could be a little better, but for a smaller institution it isn't bad.
Academic Rigor Due to the small class sizes professors are able to go more in depth with the material especially in the sciences.
Tips for prospective students Take a tour of your top college choices. Ask professors in your respective majors if you can audit their lecture.
In three sentences Morehouse College is well known for its small class sizes that guarantee individualized attention from professors. Learning in this type of environment helps better prepare students.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Although Morehouse is located in a relatively odd neighborhood, the campus security takes their job seriously. They will bust down anyone's door to make sure safety is upheld. Now Spelman police, they ARE the truth.
Greek Life Haha, greek life is a gem in the AUC, Morehouse has great Greek life and there is always news about what the frats are doing
Clubs and Activities I wasn't too involved but enough to know what it was like. Clubs and organizations run the campus usually.
Great for these types of students Social people, those who love to party, and nerds.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus NSO.. just be ready.
Bang for the buck Morehouse is expensive, but the life goals and morals they instill in you make it worth the struggle.
What to do for fun Jazzman's, shuttles to parties, hanging with friends on campus, game room, pool, ping pong, swim, meet people, party. It's all there if you expose yourself to it.
Food and Dining Between CAU and Spelman College, Morehouse has the best food. Now, the food is not always great, but it's usually good enough to enjoy. There's always a variety and the cafe is a great place to network.
Dorm Life Dorm life is EVERYTHING at Morehouse College. The dorm wars, the chants, strolling, stepping, all of it defines your hall. I strolled for my hall, was president of my hall, and managed to put on a few events with my hall council. It doesn't matter where you stay, all that's needed is to put your hall on the map!
Academic Rigor The classes are not overwhelmingly difficult. They are made to challenge you, some more than others. I suggest that if you are a prospective student to do the Pre-Freshman Summer Program. If not that, then have faith in yourself and seek help when you need it,
Tips for prospective students GET SCHOLARSHIPS!! Morehouse is expensive and paying out of pocket can be a burden. I advise not only applying, but once you have applied, check with them and let them know the need that you have to stay at that institution.
In three sentences Morehouse is an incredible place! The social life compliments the academic life and it is all a marvelous experience. College struggles are bound to happen, but Morehouse is one of the best places to struggle because the growth comes tremendously.

Great for these types of students I am a music major here and I love it. However, Morehouse is also great for business, psychology, sociology and pre-med majors.

Bang for the buck Tuition is around $40,000, so apply for scholarships. And no matter what you pay to go here, you must still work hard!
What to do for fun Join Glee club, swim team, baseball team, track team, drama club, political clubs, go to parties, go to the mall, go explore Atlanta, go out to eat or get food delivered!
Food and Dining Sodexo makes our food. Therefore, food is food.
Dorm Life Typical, all-male, dorm life: loud, distracting...and fun!
Academic Rigor Professors challenged you to do more than your best, which is why so many talented people come from this place. Many programs are based off of graduate curriculum.
Tips for prospective students Don' get caught up in just the name, find out if you want to live in Atlanta, and study at a small school. Try to visit the campus, it will help you determine the feel of the college.
In three sentences Morehouse College is challenging. There is a sense of brotherhood and family here. It is like an institution for the culturally, and intellectually talented.

In three sentences Morehouse is a great school and does an excellent job of building black boys into successful men. However there are some flaws such as financial help and campus life. There are some safety issues due to the location of the campus.

Dorm Life Living in the dorm will give you the opportunity to potentially make some of the best friends you will ever have in life.

In three sentences Morehouse is a great place for students to make connections and friendships. Also there you learn to embrace the rigor and not run from, meaning they challenge you to do your best. Also the students and faculty are great I just visited but they act as if they have known you forever.

Categories Comments Campus Safety They have heightended security over the years. There are cameras all over the campus now. Also, there are campus police that are up at every hour of the day and night.
Bang for the buck Great connections in and out of the academic world. The school is highly credible and its prestige puts tremendous pressure on its students to live up to the expectations of a Morehouse Man.
What to do for fun Archer Hall has all types of fun activities to get into from swimming, basketball, pool, table tennis, weight lifting, and cardio room, to intramural sports during the year.
Food and Dining All you can eat, within the time limits of the cafeteria being open. Great breakfast. The only thing is the cafe' closes at 8pm. There are restaurants located within walking distance in all directions from the campus.
Dorm Life Some of the best experiences I had in life. I lived on campus my freshman year in LLC (Living Learning Center) formally known as Thurman Hall. I was on the step team freshman year. In this dorm two people share one common room, which is typical for any college freshman dorm. My sophmore year, I lived in Morehouse Suites. Here four people lived in one main room but we each had our individual room with a lock on the door. It is located directly beside the newly renovated Woodruff Library.
Academic Rigor I majored in psychology. Abnormal Psychology was a tough course. It was taught by Dr. Adams. Theories of Personality and Stats 3 are also among some of the most difficult courses. If at all possible, dont take these three together.
Tips for prospective students Go in open-minded. Remember that the school is all male. However, there is a bright side because Clark Atlanta University is mostly female and Spelman College is all female. There is a great tradition of comradery among the students, so if your worried about feeling left out, that won't happen. Good luck getting accepted to one of the most prestigious instutions in the world.
In three sentences It is one of the greatest environments for black men to learn and be educated along side other highly educated black men. It has a great social environment, due to being so close to Clark Atlanta University and Spelman College. The all male environment allows for one to stay focused during class and encourages participation from each individual student.

Categories Comments Food and Dining Chiver's Hall also known as the Caf has it's good and bad days. The food there is okay, but we also have other restaurants like Papa John's on campus to fulfill your hunger needs.
Dorm Life Residence Hall life is wonderful here at Morehouse College. You get a real sense of brotherhood within the Residence Halls. The staff members and upperclassmen that stayed in hall are all very helpful and add to the brother of Morehouse.
Academic Rigor The class sizes are fairly small, so you can have a better connection with your professors. The work is not hard, it's just time consuming.
Tips for prospective students My advice for a future Man of Morehouse is to be very organized and manage your time well. Don't get caught up in all of the events that happens on campus. Make sure you get you work done first.
In three sentences Morehouse College is a great school for not only African American males, but for males from all ethnic groups. I would give Morehouse a rating of 8 on a scale from 1-10. The way classes are conducted are not difficult at all, but the technology is not at it's full potential.
