Mount Vernon is known for Sonfest, which is a day-long concert with Christian bands. Outside of that though, there are events in the town of Mount Vernon, like First Friday where students can get involved with the community. We also offer intramural sports and various clubs and organizations, from cycling club to S.I.F.E.

We also have local movie theater, bowling alley, ice cream shops, a small family style water park, plus many hiking trails and water falls. Also from MVNU, you can be to either Polaris, Mansfield, or Heath Malls all within a 45minute driving time.
