There are a few things to do on campus. Normally there is a party or a club or a random get together where you can go hang out with interesting people and do any given thing. There is also the museum, The Ringling Museum, we get into for free. The beach is not but 10 minutes away (walking). You can always start up a club or a get together.

Walls and Wallternatives are New College parties that are thrown every Friday and Saturday and usually involve lots of music and dancing. Wallternatives are more 'get-together' type parties that are less chaotic and usually involve playing video games and other more calm partying as an alternative for those who don't like big parties but want to socialize.

Lido beach is 25 minutes away and is accessible by the city buses. Downtown Sarasota and St. Armand's Circle are fun tourist traps as well. The campus has a Sail Club that will allow students to take out kayaks and sail boats for free. They also offer sailing and wind surfing lessons. There are campus parties every Friday and Saturday. There are plenty of clubs for students to get involved in and the residential assistants try to organize little events throughout the semester. Volunteer opportunities are equally abundant.

The campus has a ton of clubs and activities to do. Honestly, you shouldn't run out of things. Plus the Ringling Museum is free for students and the city has some neat events. We also have a Sailing Club and kayak/boat rentals are free for students whenever. Remember, this campus in literally on the bay.

There are parties every Friday and Saturday night, student organized activities, substance-free RA activities, a Sailing Club, fitness building, pool, and plenty of places around campus to just lay down and catch some sun.

Great social environment. Also, New College is located on a bay that provides a great hangout location to view of dolphins and wind-down with friends.
