Central really has a lot of events going on daily. There are outside things to do as well, off campus. The mall and shopping centers aren't too far from campus.

There is always something to do on the North Carolina Central University Campus. You can visit the bowling alley and play a few games with your friends while listening to music. You can also visit the Student Union where you can play video games on different game systems, or play pool on designated pool tables, or play table tennis, or you can play chess, checkers, Uno, or just regular playing cards. Also found in the Student Union are two fast food restaurants. There is a Pizza Hut, and a Wing Zone. If you don't want to stay on campus, there are two malls that you can visit by catching the bus (which is free for students). South Point Mall, and Northgate Mall are the names. There is even an IMAX theatre located in South Point Mall that students can attend for fun.

When entering NCCU i already knew a few people that would be attending the university along with me, so that made finding out where the fun was a little easier. I pretty much just party and sometimes having a few friends over in my dorm room and have movie night and just eating and talking.

If you live on campus you can always find things to do. Duke is only 5 miles away from this campus, and Chapel Hill is only 10, so if you have transportation it is real easy to visit the surrounding schools in the area, including NC State, and other HBCUs like Shaw, and St. Augustine's, all in Raleigh. The research triangle is the best place to be in North Carolina, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill are all beside each other, there other universities that you can visit, and there is always something to do in the city.

I really enjoy socializing. The small campus makes it easy to catch up with your friends. Attending organized events on campus keeps things interested. There is a DJ during our 10:40 break and off campus activities that are safe to attend.
