Be ready to work hard and walk a lot. The campus is a LARGE one, and the classes are pretty rigorous. But there's also always something fun to do when you need a break (for both people who party and people who don't).

Do not be afraid to ask for help! There are numerous resources and wonderful programs all over campus that are there for you to use to your advantage. Go speak to advisors about anything you might be overwhelmed or troubled with, they can help you in more ways than one!

If you plan on attending State invest in a pair of rain boots, I promise they will come in handy. Join a village or group on campus for your first semester in order to make friends, this is a big campus but finding your niche makes it feel like home. Don't be afraid to talk to your professors if you are having trouble, most of them like having visitors during their office hours and it shows them that you are dedicated.
