Lots! Downtown Raleigh always has shows/entertainment going on. You are also next to Durham and Chapel Hill so if Raleigh doesn't have what you're looking for....you're sure to find it somewhere within the triangle.

There is no shortage of fun on campus. From clubs, movie nights, theater productions, athletic events and games, charity fundraisers, concerts, parties, lectures, fun runs and of course whatever fun/educational booth might be set up in the brickyard, it's never too hard to find something to join or attend for fun. Off campus options are just as great! Raleigh hosts numerous big name performers and has all kinds of events to attend. There are about 3 great malls within a 30 minute or less drive from campus, plenty of bars, restaurants, and other entertainment options in downtown Raleigh or close by areas like Cary and Durham.

Nc State has a very large recreational facility that is open from 6am to 11pm everyday. There are open basketball courts, weight rooms, running tracks, swimming pools, saunas, and also a steam room.

There are a lot of good places to eat on Hillsboro street, including some bars. Downtown Raleigh is a short ride away and there are several fun clubs that are 18+. There is also a move theater on campus that shows recent films. The union activities board hosts a lot of events like concerts and cultural experiences. Volleyball courts are not hard to find, as well as fields for play touch football or whatever you like.

there are so many activities to do around campus for fun. There are clubs, sports and activities going all the time. Since I am part of WISE there are many programs going on in my building and I love to go to those and participate in their activities and mingle with others. I also love to go to the sporting events.

Go out to eat with friends; that's always fun. I enjoy going to volleyball games (even though I've only been to one). Fashion shows are cool. Joins groups and clubs. I'm in a group called The Movement and I've met some great people who are also a part of it.

There are plenty of things to do throughout the school year for fun. In October, the North Carolina State Fair comes to Raleigh and the state fairgrounds are less than two miles away from campus. Individual housing halls throw parties for various key events during the year. From promoting stress-free exams before midterms and finals, to having competitions between different dorm rooms, there will always be an even around the corner. Parties are optional, however be careful that you don't party too hard. Because Raleigh is the capital of North Carolina, there are tons and tons of historical locations and artifacts located in the city. You can tour the capital and legislature buildings, or tour the museums of Natural Sciences and History.

Tailgate football games, attend ACC events and games, everything you could want or need is in downtown Raleigh which is so close to campus - shopping, dining, hanging out. Great weather allowing for almost year round outdoor sports fun like tennis, jogging and soccer. Close to public transportation: buses, airport and trains.
