Some activities to do for fun are one, play sports if you are an athlete or you just want to have fun. Two, go hiking on the trails up the mountains. Three, when it is winter go up to the Snow Bowl and snow board or ski down the mountain. Four, visit the Grand Canyon or Sedona and so much more. Every once in awhile there will be free concerts or events around campus.

There are a million things to do at NAU and in Flagstaff. You can hike, go to the lava tubes, or take a trip to Sedona and go swim in the creek, to name a few. There are tons of clubs and sports to get involved with also.

Make sure you attend first Friday every month. There are art galleries and lots of fun to be found in Downtown Flagstaff on the First Friday of the month. If you are penny pinching, be sure to catch the free movie that Prochnow shows almost every week. You can even bring a non-student guest if you would like. All the movies shown are recently out of theaters, so it saves you the money of paying to see new movies in the first place. Lastly, enjoy the outdoors! Flagstaff is known for their outdoor activities. In the summer, go hiking, camping, fishing, or swimming in the surrounding mountainside and lakes. In winter, get a pass to the Snowbowl and try your hand at snowboarding or skiing.

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities around the Flagstaff area. Sedona is also a hotspot for weekend adventures. There are beautiful areas to hike, walk, and bike as well.

There are lots of outdoor activities to do for fun, but if you are not an outdoor person there isn't too much for you to do. When time is limited and you don't feel like going outside then Netflix and your dormmates become your best friends!

There is always some kind of activity on campus like casino night or sports games (which are free). Downtown Flagstaff also has community activities and a variety of shops and restaurants which are a walking distance or free buss ride away. The only movie theater in town is also a short bus ride away. Flagstaff is also close to Snow Bowl and Sedona.

I think that Flagstaff is in the perfect location for outdoors activities. There is hiking, biking, Frisbee golf, snowboarding. There are also really cool towns nearby and a lot of people take day trips to Sedona, the Creek, and the Grand Canyon.

There is all kinds of outdoor things for those adventurous types, hiking and biking trails crisscross Flagstaff, the NAU Campus, and the surrounding forest. There's an on campus pool that students may use free, as well as a modern gym with a running track, exercise equipment, and large rock climbing wall. Of course there's Snowbowl for winter sports and Lake Mary for weekend fun. If outdoors isn't you're thing, don't worry. There is a large online population at NAU, and any game you want to play is on their list.
