    The atmosphere at NAU is very laid back. People dress however they want. NAU can get boring on weekends because the only event offered is casino night in the union. You have to find your own fun on the weekends. I really like the forest terrain that surrounds the campus.

    The campus is beautiful and so compact. I'd say that the closeness of the campus and its students has a very home-like feeling.

    The weather is wonderful (as long as you don't mind a few weeks of snow here and there) and everyone is so accepting of each other. It is really laid back, so you can strike up a conversation with pretty much anyone. The bike trails are open, there's the lava tubes to hike, the camping site, it's just a wonderful place that becomes your home before you know it.
