Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students who love being near or close to the out doors. Students who learn more with a teacher who's humble, kind, and understanding. Students who can obtain more info when the teacher is there to answer their questions. Students who don't want to be in a big campus but not a small one either. Students who just want to go to college for a year or two. Students who want to start off slow and at an easy pace before going into a four-year college or university.
Bang for the buck Well, I pay with financial aid so I don't pay for anything. Books can cost you if you don't have financial aid. But from what I heard from my classmates who don't have financial aid; is that this college is less expensive than the other colleges around Lawrence, Methuen, and Andover.
Am enjoying being here the surroundings make it a peaceful place to be in and the wildlife is so close to you as well. Its clean and the campus is not so big but not too small. Its just right for me.
Am learning a lot because of the small classes. You get one-on-one interaction with the teachers. You learn more by the way the class is set up. Its organized and well prepared.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This school is great if your looking to figure out what you want to do in life. Also this school is super cheap so you won't be wasting your money. The classes are relatively small so there's plenty of one on one with the professors and they are always willing to help. Also the campus in lawrence is expanding and adding many more heath professions. Overall this is a great school to start at and then move forward to a 4 year school.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck This low cost college is perfect for individuals trying to find themselves and understand what they want to do with the rest of there lives'. There agreements with local universities makes this an excellent transfer school, something that can give you a great deal of knowledge before transitioning into that big impersonal four year school.
What to do for fun Depending on you view of fun, you can hike a nearby trail near a river, work out at the fitness center, use the open ground for group games, or use the handball, soccer, basketball, or track fields. Fun is up to the user.
Food and Dining There are several little snack areas and shops located within the facility. A Starbucks and a Corporate Chef cafeteria.
Dorm Life No Dorms.
Academic Rigor I am in an engineering program. These are notorious for there drop out statistics because of the math requirements. The teachers want you to succeed and are willing to go the extra mile to help you make that happen.
Tips for prospective students Turn your light one and let it shine. This sounds out-dated and cheesy, but it's the best way to make the best of college. Follow your heart and intuition, they are almost always right.
In three sentences Northern Essex is a great place to get to know your self. The college is cheap and friendly, with extremely dedicated staff. The people at the school are here to help you succeed, this is something rare in the university/boot camp setting.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Northern Essex has three branches and is currently expanding. There's a campus in Haverhill which is the main campus. Lawrence also has a campus in the heart of the city that is being expanded and expected to be ready for next year. In Lawrence as well there's a small extension of the Lawrence campus at Riverwalk. Slowly but surely it's growing and expected to grow in numbers in the coming future.
Bang for the buck You can't beat the low tuition. You will receive a good education at a fraction of what it will cost if you go to a four-year college. I am glad to have decided to come here.

Sports events, socials, and many more things. On the campus in Haverhill there's a track, fitness center, basketball court, hand ball court, among other things.
Food and Dining The cafeteria has a good size variety of foods. It's also a great place to just unwind when you're between classes. They offer cold-cuts, hot foods, soups, coffee and much more. Within the campus there are three sites where you can purchase food.
Dorm Life No dorms here.
Academic Rigor Academically you are tested of the knowledge being taught which is good. Classes are small and the professors are always there to help you all the way. There are also tutoring centers for that extra help when you need it.
Tips for prospective students I'd definitely recommend prospective students to apply because not only is tuition very affordable , but the professors are very interactive with students. Education here is key to all here. You will certainly graduate with the knowledge and experience you'll need to succeed in the workforce.
In three sentences I love everything about this school. Teachers are very supportive and genuinely want you to succeed. The staff in general are very helpful and go above and beyond to make sure your taken care of.

Bang for the buck When choosing Northern Essex Community College, I couldn't help but be swayed by the cost to attend for an entire year. The typical cost of attendance per year is about $4000. That is at almost one tenth of what other colleges cost. Also, most professors try to find the most reasonably priced books so that students are able to afford them.
