The teachers are so helpful. They will come in early or stay late in their office if you can't make their hours. When you ask a question they do their best to answer it. I even had teachers who would look it up and the answer it the next class. Some teachers even remember all their students names and faces, even in the 300+ lectures. The class sizes are perfect. They're just small enough that you still can get that one on one help unlike at huge colleges. The teachers do a great job keeping students attentions, like a chemistry...

NMU is a place where the professors are not just there to work but to help the students learn and thrive. It has multiple resources available to help us with out success in classes. it also have many places to go to have fun and relieve stress.

» Read Moreif you're not into the big schools with 2 mile wide campuses or a school in an urban area, then I would recommend going to NMU. It's about a 10 minute walk from anywhere on campus , it's in a rural area, and you're right next to Lake Superior, which can be seen from most of Marquette. As long as you don't mind very white winters, this school is for you.
