    Visit with your advisor and discuss your opportunities at least once each semester. Don't be afraid to go easy when beginning college. Start with generals that will transfer between majors without wasting your time and money.

    Have an idea of what you want to do after you leave Northwest. Make sure all of the classes you plan on taking transfer to the next college you go to. Also try to plan your whole year out at the beginning of first semester because some classes are only offered once a year and if you miss it, it may mess up your timeline of classes you need to take.
