If you can to learn, you will. The professors don't spoon-feed information - instead, they give you the tools to learn the subjects yourself. Also, just hanging out with people (students, and sometimes students hang out with professors) helps you learn; generally, the students here are smart, and so casual conversation topics sometimes teach just as much as a class lecture.

It's expensive, very dominated by greek life and definitely liberal. The engineering program is great, but avoid chemistry if you can. The dorms are very diverse and interesting.

Northwestern creates a very great environment to freely pursue what you want to do. As long as Northwestern offers a curriculum in the school, you will be able to manage your time at Northwestern to pursue what you really want to study.

Competitive but not suffocative atmosphere. Students are usually very involved on campus. Its quarter system (versus the typical bi-semester system) enables students the opportunity to take more classes.

Northwestern University is an overpriced institute. It caters to select majors and shuns others, if you are premed you are home here. Engineers have it best, and and well taken care of.

Northwestern is in a great location, the academic standards are high, and the student body is diverse. The downside is that high-quality education comes with high tuition. It's an excellent school, if you can afford it.

It is a school of choice for people who have technology skills and want to develop them and have their own business. They are the only University that I could find that had a school of technologies and a business college. They except the English, Business, Math, and Science classes that apply to your Associates Degree in a technology field toward your Bachelors Degree in the Business College.

Northwestern University is a top-tier university and is sometimes considered the ivy of the Midwest. It has a beautiful, lakeside campus and is just a train ride away from Chicago, providing endless opportunities and adventures. The university also

Northwestern is a great school. I think there are challenging aspects, particularly socially, but overall I love it. The academics, activities, people, location are great.
