There is also an organic market right across the street for those who have other dietary needs than the cafeteria might supply. The mall has stores like Target, JC Penny, Barnes and Noble with a Starbucks in it. There is a Meijer and a Walmart, as well as Pier 1, Michaels, Marshalls, Kohls, Best Buy, and a Bed Bath & Beyond. Downtown Midland is also very close, which always has something going on, especially in the spring and the Fall, including a Farmers Market by the River. The skate park is within 5 minutes, and the Midland nature trail runs through the campus.
