Get involved! There are numerous clubs and sports that are always looking for people to join. Work with the Oakland radio station, or on the paper. There is something for everyone.

For fun, I love to explore campus and the history. Oakland University's land was donated by the Dodge family (founder of Dodge motor company) and the mansion they lived in is still here on campus. Tours of the mansion is free to OU students and they hold a ball in the mansion every years.

I usually go to the Rec Center and workout or play some table tennis. I've gotten good! Not too much stuff going on, but the Student Program Board makes sure that you will not be too bored while at OU.

Oakland is located in Rochester Hills, which is surrounded by places to go and see. Plenty of restaurants, usually a college student favorite, as well as The Great Lakes Crossing mall not even 10 minutes away for the avid shoppers. There are also plenty of activities to partake in on campus as well, which is a closer, cheaper way to have fun and connect with new people.

Since the terrain is quite rough around campus, a bike ride is great the get the blood pumping. The hills make it an enjoyable ride up and down the campus roads. I have played Intramural volleyball in the gymnasium and loved it too. There are plenty of activities, you just need to look around and see what you like.
