Get involved! It is a small school and getting involved helps you get to know a lot of people. The academics are great and you really should get to know your professors, and they will reciprocate. Sometimes the teaching is very biased (it is an extremely liberal school), so be prepared to hold strong in your opinions if it feels like people are shutting you down.
