Oxy is located in Eagle Rock - which is right in the middle of Glendale (the Americana, movie theaters, a shopping mall) and Pasadena (Old Town Pasadena shopping district). Oxy is also a quick car ride from downtown LA, and is about half an hour to an hour drive from the popular beaches in the area. (Cars make getting to these places easier, although it is possible to go there via the bus system.)

There is so much to do at Oxy that is fun! There are always fun activities and dances going on on campus. The lovely thing is that Oxy is so close to LA that there is always the opportunity to explore Los Angeles.

Explore the city, go to a party, there's something for everyone here.

There aren't big party scenes, but you can find them if you look for them. Activities in Los Angeles are often planned on the weekends, but it's easy to feel cooped up and bored if you don't keep busy with extracurriculars or friends. Fortunately, there are plenty of both.

Its close to LA, so I can hike to the Hollywood sign or take a bike ride along Venice beach. Great night life.

Since Occidental is located so close to Hollywood, Pasadena, and downtown Los Angeles, the possibilities of things to do are seemingly endless. I am looking forward to going to the beach and visiting Disneyland regularly!
