Great environment and students are all nice. Study environment is balanced and there aren't as many distractions. School doesn't get enough credit for how hard it is.

A small school in the heart of Los Angeles, great physics department, a challenging academic program.

Oxy is a close community of students who are academically driven, but enjoy spending time with their friends in the sun. The weather is great, the people are even better, and you'll find classes and professors here that speak to you. You'll be treated well and will be given the tools you need to succeed.

Occidental is a small community where you get to know other students and professors on a very in depth level.

The professors here are GREAT. Great place to make friends. Opportunities abound on this campus.

The environment is strongly liberal and a little too stringent when it comes to political correctness. That being said, it is also a very supportive environment in which individuals like myself can push themselves to become who they want to be. This is a school that cares about diversity, the environment, and equality.

The campus seemed really nice and cozy. I've heard that having a car is sort of a necessity if you want to get places easily, since it is in downtown LA. Its Urban and Environmental Policy major is pretty interdisciplinary and unique.

Its very pretty and modern, newly renovated, up to date school. Councilors are not very helpful with picking out classes. Mostly everything is done online and notifications are always prompt on what needs to be done next.

Oxy is everything I wanted from a college; the perfect size, close to a big city, liberal arts. The weather is gorgeous and it's a nice day 95% of the time. Everyone is really happy and are all-around swell people.

Occidental immediately impresses due to its cleanliness, attractive grounds, and the friendliness of everyone I met. While the classroom I viewed seemed old-fashioned, they are currently undergoing construction to create new buildings,etc. I am excited to attend Occidental due to its urban location, the attention they have given me so far, its potential future opportunities, and Oxy's involvement with the surrounding metropolitan area.
