Bring a raincoat and get involved! Getting involved is my main advice. It is the best way to meet people and get out of your dorm. These peers you will meet soon become your close group of friends and you won't be able to walk around campus without running into one of them.

If you are worried about Ohio University not being worth an out-of-state school think again. The community is very welcoming and full of diversity. There is a large community of international and out-of-state students. Make sure that you have great calves because the landscape of Ohio University is a bit hilly. You won't have to worry about the freshmen 15 when you go here. The university has an extensive pool of programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. If you are looking for a degree in life sciences or anything else science related then look no further.
