I learned a lot during my first year at Ohio University. However, most of what I learned came from being outside of class because the classes themselves just serve to introduce and provide overviews of the courses. First year students typically are taking the general education tier requirements and a lot of the information will be similar to what was learned in high school.

» Read MoreOhio University is a beautiful, if hilly, campus. It's faculty is passionate, kind, and intelligent, and classes are fulfilling for those who really want to learn. The small town life is nice, but if you aren't into partying you need to get involved in other ways, since parties and Greek life make up a large portion of what to do around town on a weekend. (But you don't have to party to have a good time)
