Utilize everything they have to offer. Ask for help when needed. Meet with a counselor regularly to evaluate your progress. Meet with a counselor early on to make sure that you have a plan in place for what classes to take. You don't want to waste time taking classes that you don't need. Ask other students or use rate my professor to make sure that you get professors that you think you will work well with. You don't want a bad relationship with a professor to slow you down or affect your GPA. Work hard. This isn't high school anymore!

Also, be prepared for a great diversity of students, classrooms, and classes alike; Ohlone College is a vibrant community that I am grateful to be attending as I prepare myself over these next two years for when I apply to a four-year university.
