Around Town

There are constantly events going on around campus. There are multiple talent shows hosted each year by the Campus Activities Board. Get dressed up and go with your friends. It is amazing the talent on campus. Everyone on campus goes to the Basketball games, and it is so worth it. When football begins in the Fall 2013, that will be the place to be. Different organizations host events throughout the year, such as BlitzWeek. This is a week long effort to raise money full of some crazy and exciting events such as muggle quidditch, a man pageant, and faculty versus varsity basketball game. There is always something to do for fun on campus.

Imagination is a wonderful tool...

There are many activities on campus that students should take advantage of: FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), Hub (bible study), Night of Jazz, Art shows, activities at the RAWC (our gym) such as racquetball, basketball, etc, ping pong in the student center, and so many more.

There are TONS of activities on campus--keep your eyes out! Shawnee has hidden treasures, such as restaurants and shops! Just have to hunt for them!

There are so many clubs and activities on campus. I have won two intramural championships. Also, I am part of the OBU Volleyball team and Lacrosse Team. Today we had Christmas Chapel and OBU goes far beyond what a normal school does. There is something for everyone.

There are many clubs and groups to be apart of. They have Night of Jazz which is where they have live music and you can just hang out.

There are many options for students who want to have fun on or off campus. On campus we have the RAWC (Recreation and Wellness Center) which has a gym, rock climbing, raquet ball, basketball, swimming, dodgeball, a trampoline, and so much more including group fitness classes. There are also several lounges on campus in the doorms and the GC (Geiger Center). Off-campus there are movie theaters, parks, bowling allies, coffee shops, restraunts and so much more all in the town of Shawnee, OK.

At OBU there are so many fun things to do. They have the RAWC where you can work out or go play sports for fun. Also there are many groups to get involved with around campus. Many of them are mission like and volunteer work.

There is so many things to do on campus from: intramural sports to joining the players club for aspiring actors. Figure out what hobbies interest you and most likely there is a club. Even if you don't like some activities if you try them they may become more enjoyable because of the present company.

During the first semester there are these things called buck friday. You pay a dollar for an event. Sometimes there are concerts and other times its dances or movie nights. There is always fun events like that to go to. OBU also has sports. We recently got football, so now you can go to football or soccer or baseball or even volleyball games. There are a number of other activities that go on campus. Shawnee has a mall so its always fun to go do a little bit of shopping.
