Categories Comments What to do for fun Go to the dog park with a few friends on a sunny day is quite enjoyable. You can also drive a few minutes to hit the beach or the bay front.
Food and Dining No cafeteria, but there is an on campus mini-store that sells a small variety of food and drinks. Price is a little high, though.
Dorm Life There really isn't an on-campus dorm, but there is a housing section near the college. I do not know how much they cost, but they are cute! There is a dog park right in front of the college, too.
Academic Rigor The writing classes I have been in recognize that college students should be able to pump out papers every week. Some papers are harder to write than others, but some are very difficult! Make sure to study for exams ahead of time to get the knowledge engraved into your brain!
Tips for prospective students Meet with the guidance counselor early and sign up for classes when you can. Classes are on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure to do your homework on time! Try to be early for class, as the professors start lecturing right when class begins. OCCC is very close to the beach and the bay front, which are both very beautiful places!
In three sentences Oregon Coast Community College is a nice, fun place near the coast. The staff there are all very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are having a good education. OCCC has several clubs and very good nursing as well as aquarium science programs!

Categories Comments Clubs and Activities Psychology club, surf club, and more I'm sure but I don't participate.
Great for these types of students Students who like small classes, the wilderness, the ocean and the beach would like this school.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Campus has a Frisbee golf course and a hiking trail
Bang for the buck My high school has paid for all of my supplies so far.
What to do for fun Clubs, Frisbee golf, surf club
Food and Dining No dining necessarily. There is a small store on campus with healthy things to choose from.
Dorm Life No dorms on campus
Academic Rigor I progress in the areas I'm taught in.
Tips for prospective students 1. Work on your essay writing skills 2. Pay attention to your calender for class 3. Don't be afraid to ask questions 4. Keep track of your stuff 5. Prioritize, don't procrastinate
In three sentences I'm able to use the resources easily and everyone is very helpful which I appreciate. It's a small school but I like the idea of having small classes because you can get more one- on- one time with your professor. The campus is close to home and my job so attending would be very convenient for me.
