Around Town

There are tons of sport clubs, a rock climbing wall, rifle club, horse clubs, tennis courts and the campus is near some great hiking trails, bike riding trails, skiing in winter just East. There are also many sororities and fraternities represented on campus and they do many events and volunteer at varied places.

My favorite things to do outside of school are hike and swim and this area is filled with hiking areas and water. If you have a dog, there are many places that welcome pets and there are a lot of activities that can be done such as going to the water, seeing different dog shows, etc.

Go out downtown and explore. The campus has a nice bus system too to get to different places in Corvallis. We don't have much, but we have a lot of natural areas to go hiking and stuff.

There is literally so many things going on all the time, just find things you like to do.

I joined a sorority, so I am very busy with those activities, I am also in the marching band so I am busy with that. I go to sporting evens often, I take photos for fun, I design lots of things on my computer, and I go hiking and biking.

Living in the valley of Oregon gives you plenty to do for fun. You have the mountains and the coast within a few hours of you. Living in Corvallis gives you the small town feel but you are also close to many big cities, such as Portland which is only an hour and a half away.

There are a million things to do if you're bored or want to meet new people... a ton of IM sports, clubs, and a big Greek system. Also a lot of hiking and outdoorsy stuff to do around campus.

Oregon State University has lots of clubs and free resources to use, even an on campus shooting range. Join a club because it is a great opportunity to do something fun and meet new people. Oregon State also has the Dixon Gym (which is huge). There is rock climbing, a pool, and any sport basically. There are also a couple new intramural fields open to students. Football games are also super fun to go with friends.

On campus, there are always several events going on and there are multiple intramural fields to play on. Off campus fun depends on access to a car; however, the bus system is free!

For fun there are many things to do, you can go to a small lake near by, Dixon which is a huge gym with basketball courts, pool, weights and more, parties you can go to, big fields, hanging out with friends, and hitting on some ladies!
