I have loved the level of support offered here at Oregon State, academic or otherwise. There are so many programs designed to help you succeed, and keep you from going crazy while doing it! The only complaint I have is with living in dorms, but I think every college freshman dislikes some aspects of dorm life.

The students are mostly all accepting of people of all races. The buildings are easy to find and not very far from each other if living on campus. This school also many places to receive help of mostly any kind for students around the campus.

Oregon State University is an incredible university, and has been everything I wanted in a college. The campus is beautiful, and easy to understand, and the students here are all incredibly welcoming. The classes are highly educational, and have been taught at a very high level.

The campus is huge but everything is easy to walk to. It's a bit overwhelming at first but you get used to it. The professors are great.

Oregon State University has fantastic forestry/natural resources programs (it is actually considered to be the top forestry school in the United States), and many opportunities for hands-on learning. The Adventure Leadership Institute (ALI) is a recreational field studies program within the college that is rivaled only to programs such as NOLS. The faculty within ALI are very enthusiastic about their work, and the facilities, rental gear, climbing gym, bike shop, and field outings were a major deciding factor on attending the university.
