Become very social with everyone and learn to enjoy your time. First year is always the best but goes by really fast.
» Read MoreFinancial planning is very important since there are limited scholarships available from ASDS and Pace. Also, given the nature of the work, effective time management is obligatory. Having a life outside the program is also essential to maintain a sense of balance. It might also be good to bring in food from home since the prices at the various dining halls seem quite high.

» Read MoreMake sure it's worth the cost. Much better schools in Manhattan are the same price if not less. Don't fall in love just because it's in NYC. Realize that academics are not it's strong suit and the schools tends to favor theater, businesses and comm majors. Also, dorming as a freshman in MT is horrible. Live somewhere else.
