Categories Comments Tips for prospective students If your thinking of attending Pace I can promise it'll be a great decision. Whether enjoying the scenery in the Westchester campus or being a busy bee in the city that never sleeps it's a college you'll love. Make sure you visit the school before you make a final decision because you want to make sure you can adapt. Get to know some Pace students on facebook and don't be afraid to ask questions.
Bang for the buck Pace is pretty expensive but very worth it. The financial aid packages are very good and they work with you to try and find scholarships and student loans that are most appropriate to your situation.
Am enjoying being here Choosing Pace U was one the best decisions I made. Not only are my classes fun, but there is always an activity on campus. Your never bored. There is something going on at all times. They do a good job at keeping not only residents but commuters involved on campus as well. One minute you could be in class and the next throwing a pie in someones face to raise money for one organization or the other.
Am learning a lot Pace University has an amazing staff. Professors are dedicated to helping students during class and outside of the classroom setting. The class size is just right to be able to learn and focus.

Tips for prospective students Visit the campus and take a tour. Imagine yourself as a student, walking through the hallways, eating in the cafeteria, sitting the classrooms, and reading in the library. This will help decide whether Pace is right for you!
Bang for the buck Pace is a private institution that is quite costly. What helped me to make my college decision was the amount of scholarship money I received. Pace provides 95% of its students with merit based scholarships and financial aid, so there is help in paying for school. Is it a bang for the buck? I would say so considering I believe it is a great school with numerous challenging courses that will help me to become a successful business woman.
Am enjoying being here I love being at this school because there is always something to do. Whether it be a club event inside school or the thrill of city life outside of Pace's doors, you will never be bored. The university provides a friendly, welcoming environment that is definitely carried on in the classroom as well.
Am learning a lot I am a freshman at Pace and I feel that I have definitely learned a lot. Though I have been at Pace University for one semester so far, I am doing excellently, holding a GPA of 3.8. The teachers are extremely friendly and helpful and are very knowledgeable of their material.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Pace is great for any type of student. Even shy people end up having a good time here and adjust quite well.
Tips for prospective students One thing to keep in mind is that everyone is or was in your shoes so don't feel like your alone in this process. There are lots of resources to help you on campus and off campus. Make sure to take advantage of any and all learning opportunities that will further your education.
Bang for the buck As far as tuition goes, Pace is pretty pricey but they do try and give you as much financial aid as they can. If you are accepted into the honors college you get a $15,000 scholarship and a free laptop. There are also other scholarship opportunities that students are eligible for.
Am enjoying being here The people at Pace are so friendly and nice so its hard not to enjoy yourself here. Everyone is really outgoing and always willing to help.
Am learning a lot I go to Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. The classes are great. The biggest your classes will ever be is maybe 50 people in your lecture class. Otherwise, Pace has small classes that way you get the attention you need. The professors let you know their schedules in case you want to meet with them if you need any type of help. There is also a great tutoring center as well as a writing center to help your writing progress.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Pace is a great school for anyone--there is no single nationality, personality type, or group you need to belong to in order to feel welcome here. However, the school would most likely appeal to students who are very social and enjoy getting out there and networking because there are so many opportunities to do just that and if you are able to take advantage of them, you will succeed.
Tips for prospective students During Orientation, try to interact with your group members and peer leaders and make as many contacts as you can. Networking is very beneficial and the best time to do that is before school even begins. Also, as a college student you must also be responsible for yourself and take the initiative in making your education worthwhile. So, if you need help in your classes, you should seek help and there are so many people to ask. Keep an open mind and just do your best.
Bang for the buck Pace is expensive and the better your academic standing is, the more scholarships and grants you will receive. They do try to cover all of your financial need but it has happened on a few occasions that some students get their financial aid package altered abruptly and this could cause them to pay more than they anticipated. This probably occurs in most colleges, not just Pace, so be sure to fill out your FAFSA as accurately as possible. There are many great professors here and if you make the right choices in terms of taking the right classes for you and doing your work, you will get the most of your education and feel that the money was worth it.
Am enjoying being here Pace really goes the extra mile to make new students feel welcome. Orientation, for example, is a 2-day program with an overnight stay. They have workshops/presentations where they address all your questions and give you information on everything from financial aid to dorming. They divide everyone into groups where you can make friends even before school starts. They also plan fun activities such as a boat trip around Manhattan from Southstreet Seaport--and this was all on Orientation! Throughout the year, there are several activities and organizations to get involved with--information is sent to you weekly so you are aware. There is a mandatory University 101 class which is to help students with the transition from high school to college. There is always something to do here and there seems to be a place for everyone. Pace puts an emphasis on life outside the classroom as much as your classroom experience.
Am learning a lot Personally, if I get anything out of Pace it will be the ability to think critically. I have not even attended the school for that long and I feel like my mind has never been so stimulated. If you take the right classes, you will definitely learn a lot. It is important to take several classes outside your major and the Core Curriculum is designed to help everyone do that. It is not only to make you a well-rounded person, but to open your mind to different perspectives of seeing the world and inculcate in you the ability to think critically.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Pace is great for all types of students. It is great in diversity. Pace is also very good for business, theater and nursing majors. Overall, Pace is great for anybody.
Tips for prospective students A few tips are to tour the college to get a feel of what it looks like, speak to a few professors and current Pace students so that they can let you know what they really think about Pace and make sure to ask any question that you have in mind.
Bang for the buck Although, I have received scholarships to help me financially at Pace, I still find it pretty expensive.
Am enjoying being here I am a commuter but while I'm take classes at Pace and while I'm on my break, I do enjoy being at Pace. The faculty is really friendly. There are also many activities going on to keep you busy. You can always find something to do, whether it is to chat and eat with friends at the cafe or study at the library. Being that Pace is in the city there are many things to do around the area, such as, museums, parks, etc.
Am learning a lot I have only attended Pace for a semester and I already think that Pace has been a great college. The professors are very helpful and are always there to answers the students' questions. The variety of courses given at Pace give the students the ability to learn more outside of their majors and have more knowledge about other areas.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Driven and focused individuals, who may not have a clear vision of their future but are willing to work to get ahead.
Tips for prospective students -Come focused, the more you put into Pace the more you'll get back -Avoid Prof.Keating for Eng -Get Prof.Demos for Chemistry
Bang for the buck The education is top notch but the biggest draw is CO-Op. Pace places high focus on internships and earning real world skills while in college- to that end they help students every year gets internships across a wide spectrum of majors and companies - from lab work in pharmaceutical companies, to accounting at Madison Square Garden or even a research intern for communications at MTV, Co-Op is sure to have something for you.
Am enjoying being here The NY campus is really convenient and compact - getting to classes is a breeze once you learn the layout. The RAs do a good job of trying to instill a sense of community in the dorms and there always a lot of fun events going on.
Am learning a lot The teachers here are all professionals with terminal degrees. Most are very passionate about their subjects But as with all schools, a few are a bit stuck up and will need their egos stroked (mostly English department restricted)

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Like diversity. Like being leaders. Business students. Environmental law students. Nursing students. Communication students. Film majors.
Tips for prospective students Add students from the school on facebook and ask them what they think of Pace. Make a good impression on the faculty. Have a good flow of communication with your adviser because they can help you drop classes that you don't like and they help you get what you need done. Use all of the resources that are available to you. Apply for outside scholarships too.
Bang for the buck I got some great scholarship money from Pace. But it is still a little expensive.
Am enjoying being here I lucked out with getting a good roomie. We have become good friends and we share a group of friends. My room is not claustrophobic. I am a member of the Honors College, which means that my hard work in high school got recognized. There are a lot of clubs, speakers and events.
Am learning a lot It's only been a few weeks but I like my professors and I find them to be very knowledgeable.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Pace is great for anyone interested. It's not for one group in particular, it's for anyone as long as you strive for what you want and are open to great opportunities.
Tips for prospective students I suggest you visit the school to assure you like the environment in and outside the school. Also, speak to current students and ask them about their experience. Lastly, get to know the professors and get help as soon as possible if needed.
Bang for the buck I received a scholarship for Pace but I still find it really expensive. Pace does try to do their best in giving you scholarships.
Am enjoying being here Pace is a fun place to be at. There's not one day where you won't find anything to do. They always have different activities or events for their students whether its in school or outside school. Some of these activities include discussion groups, apple picking, and cupcake crawl.
Am learning a lot I have been at Pace University for only one semester and I definitely learned a lot throughout the years. The professors are open to their students and have no problem setting up a time to help them. I believe one can learn a lot at Pace because the classes are small. All my classes have not been any bigger than 30 students. Also, Pace has a tutoring center and a writing center at the library. There's help anywhere and everyone is welcome to assist you.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Pace is great for students who are fun, out-going, respectful, eager to learn, and people who just want to makes friends. Pace is very diverse and happy to welcome any kind of student. The more different you are, the more likely you will fit in. Don't be afraid to be unique!
Tips for prospective students I believe to get the full on Pace University experience, the student should stay on campus because you have more freedom and more chance to really know the type of environment you are in.
Bang for the buck Pace is fairly expensive but then again what private school isn't. They give enough financial aid to assist you and other options like private student loans and alternative loans.
Am enjoying being here It is a fun environment. No two people are alike. There is no discrimination. Everyone are friends. You have so much fun. There are events every other day on campus that makes you feel welcome and eager to stay at the school.
Academic Rigor The teachers ate really fun and interactive. You get to learn without too much burden because the teachers are eager to help. There are tutoring centers also available to help you in any subject you are having difficulties with.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Although the initial cost seems really pricy, Pace helps students with financial aid and merit based scholarships! The education and extra curriculars are completely worth it.
Will enjoy being here From the moment you step onto the campus, you're welcomed by warm friendly faces eager to help you.
Will learn a lot The professors seem excited to meet all their students and excited to teach them.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck There is always something to do on the Pace campus. You can hit the brand new gym that was recently opened up with all new equipment. You can just chill in Kessel student center, grab some food and hang with your friends. Hit Mortola library and finish up that English essay. Or you can wait for the Mugs n Movies Thursday night movie showing or hop on the shuttle to attend the Wicked broadway production in the city. Or attend a club meeting with one of Pace's many clubs ranging from 808s (step team) or ASAP (African Students Association) or Glee Club. There is something for everyone at Pace University.
Am enjoying being here I have done so much in my first year at Pace University. I was on the Executive Board of a club since the beginning of my fall semester as a freshman. By the end of the spring semester, I started Pace's first ever step team and am now the current president. I have held two jobs at Pace and have still managed to maintain a GPA well above a 3.0.
Am learning a lot I attend the Westchester campus that Pace University has. I really like attending Pace University. I loved all of the classes that I've taken and I love all of the classes that they offer. The range from a basic Anatomy class to a Philosophy class titled Men and Masculinity, Pace University knows how to keep students interested and wanting more. The topics are engaging and the teachers are interested in the well being of the students.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students The school is good for aspiring actors. I heard the theater program is top-notch. The acceptance rate is also really high--in the ballpark of 75%. Therefore it is a good backup school in case you don't get into other more prestigious schools (like Ivy Leagues), or if your grades really aren't that great (there are people here who don't even know basic math that should have been learned in elementary school).
Tips for prospective students Make sure you try to get into the Honors College. The non-Honors courses are excruciatingly boring, unchallenging, unrewarding, and unworthwhile. The Honors College also gives you a free laptop and a robust scholarship.
Bang for the buck I was admitted into the Honors College and thus got a good amount of aid in scholarships. But since I've already mentioned that you don't really learn a lot here, it's not really bang for the buck. Many of my classmates have complained that it doesn't matter whether you come to class or not because either way you're not learning anything. The good side to this problem is that the professors work really hard to make their classes better so that the school can be more renowned.
Did enjoy being here There's a tight-knit community here--for those who dorm. It was nice how convenient everything was because everything was in the same building (which also brings up the bad side that tells you how small the school really is). The food is horrible though, but there are many nearby restaurants to provide good alternatives. There are many internship opportunities as well, with advisors to help you with resume and cover letter writing.
Did learn a lot I did not learn a lot here. I was in the Business School for my first two years of study. The introductory classes such as Micro- and Macro-economics were very basic; I can safely assume that the courses were easier than the AP ones. The school also makes you take a Finite Math course, which is supposed to introduce you to Statistics. I took both AP Statistics and AP Calculus BC and received fives on both, and was still required to take it. The class turned out to be something similar to what I had in the sixth grade. In other words, a lot of the introductory classes are really basic. That said, however, there are classes that are interesting with good professors. Financial Management was interesting. Accounting was not interesting at all for me but I had good professors so I actually learned something in those classes.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Pace University is great for students who like to be independent. Students who aren't too concerned with typical college life and like to go out on their own and have adventures. Like I said, not much time is actually spent in the school. Everyone is running around and doing their own thing. It's the hustle and bustle that makes it fun.
Tips for prospective students My advice for prospective students would be to stay on top of Pace. Although they are known as a business school, their offices are not run by the most qualified people. Paper work gets lost and they often send you the wrong information. If you plan on going to Pace, be aware that you'll need to be in charge and aware of your own affairs because Pace will not keep track for you.
Bang for the buck Unfortunately, Pace is extraordinarily expensive and the tuition price goes up every year. FORTUNATELY, Pace also offers their students incredible scholarships and grants. As long as you work hard, the money is definitely worth it.
Am enjoying being here I LOVE being at Pace. I am a student at the NYC campus and it is the best experience I've ever had. To be honest, not much of my time is spent at the school. I go to my classes and then I head home and go out and explore the city. If you're okay with not having a real campus, and creating your own in the best city in the world, then I would definitely suggest Pace.
Am learning a lot I do learn a lot at Pace. I just finished my sophomore year there and I've really enjoyed my time. I feel like prospective students should know, though, that the first two years at Pace will most likely be spent getting the core curriculum out of the way. I have taken a few classes that pertain to my major, but I've spent most of my time getting their pre-recs finished. It's still a great learning experience, but it's not something that they tell you before you get there.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Pace is a great place for any student. People of the artistic nature and those of the more intellectual nature. There's room for everyone. There are clubs, organizations, sororities, and fraternities that may be of your interests. There's something for everyone and if not, you have the option of getting a group of friends together and making your own club. Pace is very diverse and works hard to ensure that everyone feels welcome and accepted.
Tips for prospective students Come visit and tour the school if you don't believe me ! There are many events that they have for prospective students. You'll be able to attend classes with us, sleep over in the dorms, and just see for yourself what Pace has to offer.
Bang for the buck Pace is very expensive and with the economy the way it it the costs are just continuously rising. With that being said, you can earn a B-E-A-U-tiful financial aid package from the school. They give out tons of money in grants and scholarships to both residents and non-residents, and have even more that you can apply for after you've been in the school for at least a semester. With all of the FREE events and gifts given out, and all of the low cost trips (I want to a Broadway play for only $10 and some trips go as low as $5 !) I say you get your money's worth. I also LOVE the fact that Pace offers free shuttle buses between campuses and to town/the metro-north. This means free trips from Westchester to the city ! Woo-hoo ! They also give you the option to take classes between campuses and it's all included in your total cost of attendance.
Am enjoying being here One thing about Pace is there's always something to do on campus. No matter what night it is if you feel you're bored in your dorm you can step out and find some type of event or club meeting taking place. You could never get bored ! Pace is a student run school so the students come together to plan these events and are funded by the school. Even your own idea for an event can be taken into consideration, everyone is willing to hear what you have in mind.
Am learning a lot I currently attend the Pleasantville/Briarcliff campus and I can say that with such small classes at Pace it is much easier to grasp the material. Every class has about 20 students and the number decreases as you go into more major specific courses. I hear that some science lab classes reach to about around 50 students (still not very much) but my physics class was even about 15 students. The teaches get to know you personally so they're are more helpful and take the time out to fulfill your needs and answer questions. With the tutoring center available and the library available about 18 hours a day there's no way you can go wrong ! Even when the library is closed we have a 24 hour computer lab on campus so you can finish those last minute papers and do some late night cramming. Everywhere you turn there are people willing to help you, even other students so this makes it all the easier to succeed in your classes.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Acting majors Business majors
Tips for prospective students Make sure to go over all of your financial aid options! Also check online often. Most of Pace's service are offered through the school email and classwork is posted on the school site.
Bang for the buck While there are many financial aid options, I think the college itself doesn't provide a lot outside of the business and acting department. I'm trying to be a journalist and for the price that is being paid, I wished that there was more journalism courses to take...
Am enjoying being here It's not necessarily the school that contributes to this score, but the fact that you are in the heart of Lower Manhattan. The NY campus is ideal for those who don't just want to stay on campus and would rather explore the restaurant, clubs, and neighboring section like Chinatown.
Am learning a lot The atmosphere is very good for learning and there are plenty of places for one to study (Library, Computer Lab, Study Rooms, etc.). The teachers also help out the students after class and are easy to contact.

Categories Comments Campus Safety there are security guards everywhere. it makes me feel very safe. they are super nice and will help you if you ask.
Greek Life there isn't much of a greek life. it's not really a big thing here. but there are a couple if you really want to join one.
What to do for fun it's new york! you can do anything. i go to shows on broadway, clubs, bars, out to dinner, and shopping. it's fun to just go walking around and explore the city.
Food and Dining the food is better than most colleges, but it's not superb either. it can get a little old and it can get a little pricey. i mean it's college you can't really expect 5 star dining.
Dorm Life i live in the freshman dorms and i absolutely love it! i have made so many friends, and the people who live on my floor are like my family. the rooms are small but it's not that bad, it's enough room for me and i'm a girl with many clothes and shoes.
Academic Rigor it's not that super challenging of a school as far as academics go, at least not for me. i don't think you need to have super high scores and gpa to get in, but it helps for getting scholarships.
Tips for prospective students apply for scholarships because living in the city isn't cheap. be social and go out and do things. new york is the most amazing place in the world and there are so many opportunities, so go explore!
In three sentences it is a great school for students who do not want your typical college experience like football and tail-gaiting. being in new york city is amazing, consider nyc your campus. i am a commercial dance major and love the program here at pace!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Security is everywhere, and they don't play around. My father questioned my safety in that crazy city as we were flying 3000 miles and 6 hours from home. After our visit, he doesn't have a single doubt in his mind concerning my protection.
Greek Life Greek Life doesn't interest me, so I didn't look into it much. I know that it definitely exists on campus. The only sorority I noticed was the AKA.
Great for these types of students Great for independent, career-oriented, and fun-loving students. As long as you know how to balance work and play, you'll be 100% fine.
Bang for the buck Although Pace is very expensive, I can't be mad about the financial aid packages. Mine was definitely a great help. I also realized at orientation that not a dollar is going to waste. With all they have to offer from really cool events to career-oriented classes, I know that it's worth every penny.
What to do for fun There is always something to do when you're in New York City. Pace is just a couple blocks down from Chinatown and Little Italy. It's also just a few blocks up from the Statue of Liberty. With a subway entrance right around the corner at the New York City Hall, the entire city is as the will of your metro card. Plenty of places to shop, eat, and be entertained.
Food and Dining I very much enjoyed the food. There were many options, including food that was considerate toward vegetarians, and none of it was incredibly unhealthy.
Dorm Life Each prospective student has the opportunity to stay in the dorms (Maria's Tower) for a night at orientation. I've been told countless times about the sense of community in those dorms. I, personally, did not choose Maria's Tower as my first choice. Speaking of choice: there are many options given. Maria's Tower is on campus, there are a handful of others that are very close to campus, and the farthest one is in the Brooklyn Heights right over the bridge (which is the one I chose as my first choice). I recommend researching each on the Pace U website and asking around for details.
Academic Rigor I've been told that the school is generally serious about academics. A full course-load is between 14 and 18 credits. I was informed by my academic adviser that the average amount of units taken is 16 (5 to 6 classes). However, there's no need to worry with tutoring services and study groups available. You also have the opportunity to be well-informed by students about managing time, stress, etc if you ask. They are very friendly and open to all questions, so don't be shy!
Tips for prospective students Visit the campus and go to as many welcome events as possible. Unfortunately, I'm from California and could not afford the plane ticket and hotel costs. I didn't realize until orientation that I missed out on a lot of fun and a lot of information. If you cannot make it, don't worry, everything you need to know will be explained.
In three sentences Pace U is an institution with it's priority set at student interests. Many students may feel intimidated by the rigor and responsibilities that come with college life, myself included; however, one never has to feel this way at Pace. By going to orientation alone, confidence is insured by the well-organized and well-explained process of being a student here.

Tips for prospective students Housing is extremely difficult to get after freshmen year, so beware of that. Also, the food sucks...
Bang for the buck I personally do not get a lot of financial aid from Pace, so its really expensive and I could have gotten a better education at another school for a lot cheaper.
Am enjoying being here As far as Pace itself, its not the greatest for community, unless you are in a sorority, but living in the city is amazing and I am constantly meeting people and making friends. If theres nothing goin on at Pace, there is a wide city with plenty of options!
Am learning a lot My major is not that difficult, I study communications. But my elective classes are interesting and I like the options we have to choose from.

Categories Comments Campus Safety pace university has to be one of the safest universities. we are located right by the nypd station. school security is very strict. you are not allowed in the building if you do not have a school id or have been signed in. students are not even allowed in the freshman dorm (which is located in the building) without living in that dorm or being signed in. same goes for the other dorms as well. so, pace is a very safe campus.
Greek Life greek life at pace is ok. there are a lot of spanish sororities and fraternities but there are a lot of others on campus. if the organization you want to be a part of is not on campus there is probably a city chapter of that organization, so it is available.
Clubs and Activities there are many clubs and activities. you have to get involved with at least one club at school. you'll feel important because everyone will know you.
Great for these types of students pace is great for all types of students. pace is diverse and full of studious fun students.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus there are not any unusual traditions or locations on campus.
Bang for the buck pace is very expensive but i do think it will pay off. pace has a great career services and great internships. rated number 9 in schools who produce top interns in 2011.
What to do for fun there are so many things to do for fun, it is new york city. on campus there are parties (not many though), concerts (great mainstream artist and sometimes are free unless it's homecoming) and random ice cream socials. but truthfully, there is more action off campus in nyc than on campus.
Food and Dining the cafeteria will be the hangout spot for every freshman, especially if you live on campus. if you live on campus you have a great meal plan. everyone hangs out in the cafeteria because there are couches and stools to chill on and there is music to listen to. the food is not bad but not fantastic, it depends. there are a variety of foods in each cafeteria (there are two and a kiosk). unlike other schools, pace does not have a wendy's or some other fast food restaurant in the cafeteria. but, now, you can use your meal plan outside in the area at places like chipotle and rosella's (pizza spot).
Dorm Life the dorm life at pace is a little different from many other universities. there are freshman dorm that are located in the building. the freshman dorm is definitely like a family. you get to know these other students because everyone will invite you to hang out even if they do not know you. the other dorms are not as family based, they are more independent. other than the freshman dorm, all the dorms have personal bathrooms, which is great. a lot of the dorms have great views of nyc and brooklyn. they are not far from the campus, which is great and they're in great locations. the manhattan dorms are about two blocks from the campus so you live in the financial district. the brooklyn dorms are in this great beautiful area of brooklyn, brooklyn heights. there is a pace shuttle that takes you from the dorm to campus or if you want to take the train it's two stops away. i enjoyed dorming in the brooklyn dorm.
Academic Rigor pace has a great program. it has a university core and a specific core for your major. cores are the prerequisites and required classes you need. i would suggest you follow the university and specific core outline that will be provided for you so you can stay on the right track. from what i hear most universities do not give homework, but pace is not one of those universities. professors give homework and it's essential to do it, though they may not grade it, it's necessary to do it. i say this because some professors only give a midterm and a final. so, two months of work you will be taught but it is up to you to actually put forth the effort to learn the material. then, you have another two months to learn the material for the final.
Tips for prospective students the tips i would give prospective students are: 1. make sure you get involved on campus. pace is a very small community and it tends to get repetitive and boring unless you're active on campus. pace has a lot of clubs and organizations, especially for business majors. 2. get to know the people in your class, everyone is usually helpful and do not mind putting together a study group. 3. find a balance, sometimes the school workload can be overbearing. find a way where you have the time to relax because it will start to feel like too much academics and not enough relaxation. 4. network, pace is full of students who are a part of great companies (and are famous) and have family who are a part of great companies. make sure you take advantage of that.
In three sentences pace university-nyc feels like a small conglomerate community. it's great because you get to know people. great diversity.

Categories Comments Campus Safety We have 24/7 security wherever students are. You are required to show Pace ID in any building you walk into and we are a closed campus which means you either need to be a student, signed in, or you don't come in. Being in the city it is very nice to know that people who do not belong in our building will not be there.
What to do for fun Go to school activities! Pace has so many different events from the students every single day; you just need to be willing to go out and experience new things. Get out of your comfort zone and try something you've never done before.
Food and Dining We use Chartwells Dining Services and the food is good. You will get tired of it after a while, but that even happens at home. The plus side to that is you get flex dollars to use at various food places in the immediate area of Pace, so you don't need to spend cash from your pocket.
Dorm Life You live in the city; enough said. 24 hour everything, comedy clubs, 18+ night clubs, and amazing residence hall activities. Sign up for a theme floor if you can and live in Maria's Tower. Between all the free food and awesome trips you'll go on, once you come and experience it you will know you made the right choice.
Academic Rigor You are not going to drown but be prepared, you are not in high school anymore. The rigor depends on how you and your advisor make your schedule. 18 credits might sound scary but not if you are taking a mix difficult and easy classes. Take courses that you find interesting while at the same time fulfill those core requirements
Tips for prospective students Grades aren't everything. Try the hardest you can in High School without burdening yourself. Have fun and treasure those years while you still have them. College is the real world and you'll have plenty of help once you get there, so enjoy yourself while working hard in school.
In three sentences Pace University is the place to go if you love living in a fast paced environment. We have campuses both in the heart of the city and also in Westchester for you to enjoy the stars and the quietness of nature.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are many security guards. It's impossible to get past a certain point of the main building without presenting your campus ID. This goes with residential buildings as well.
Greek Life Many societies that I know rent an apartment together in the downtown area. There are a few parties but nothing too big.
Clubs and Activities Many activities that are in Pace are club based. If you want to be in activities then I suggest joining a club or society.
Great for these types of students There are many clubs for students of a particular major. There's an office where you can find volunteer opportunities as well as a study abroad office.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There are no unusual traditions or locations that I'm aware of.
Bang for the buck A small sandwich is about $5. Pace's food is way too expensive. I suggest going to China Town and eating there.
What to do for fun I love sports so I would always play basket ball in in the basement of the main building of Pace Uni. There are clubs that you can register for, societies and occasionally there are fun Pace events for all students to take part of.
Food and Dining In 2011 the cafeteria was renovated. There's a Japanese section, grill section and two other sections. The food is expensive and if you eat there everyday, you will eventually get tired of it. There are only two very small cafeterias that Pace Uni. owns.
Dorm Life There are a few dorms belonging to Pace University. I stayed at Maria's Tower my first year which is the dorm that Freshmen stay at. Most of the floors have a theme to which you and your floor members will participate in activities regarding the theme.
Academic Rigor Like all universities, if you study and actively practice your studies then you will do well. Of course Pace University has it's professors that are difficult to work with but in this case, become an expert in the subject and you will do well.
Tips for prospective students Use the resources that is given to by the school. Take advantage by joining a few clubs or societies. Pace has a lot to offer, you just have to take the initiative to go after them!
In three sentences Pace University has a supporting student and faculty community. This University gives it's students great resources like a tutoring center, writing center and counseling center that are all free of charge. As a Pace Student, I really enjoy my time here.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck It's a private school, so it's expensive. I hear that the school give out merit and need-based aid to almost all the students.
Will enjoy being here I've hears a lot of great things about Pace from a friend who I met at a Musical Theatre summer program. It's close to home for me, but I've decided to apply.
Will learn a lot Pace hosts the Actor's Studio -- it must be great!

Categories Comments What to do for fun What isn't there to do? Shopping is right there aka Soho. You have foods on every single block and the little park is just adorable.
Tips for prospective students Pace is the school for you if you want to be in the middle of the city and in the area of the Financial District, it is so beautiful down here. It is the place to be if you are willing to be successful one day. Pace is willing to get you where you want to be!
In three sentences It is the best school ever. I love the environment and the ability to feel that one can accomplish anything here. The professors are amazing and are willing to help, may I mention that the internships are wonderful here?!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Very safe campus. The security guards are sometimes considered annoying in regards to the amount of attention and dedication they give to student safety. ID's are required everywhere on campus!
Greek Life Not interested in Greek Life but from the looks of it they have a lot of fun and are really united.
Clubs and Activities Plenty of clubs to join and activities to participate in. You can even start you own Clubs and activities, all you need in participants and approval.
Bang for the buck I would say it is worth the money but do suggest they lower the price because there are many issues that student face and they shouldn't for the amount we pay.
What to do for fun A few parties around the city, shopping, ice skating in the winter and other endless fun opportunities are available.
Food and Dining Overall the food is good although I wish they would change up the menu every month.
Dorm Life The St.George residence hall is amazing. The rooms vary in size, the lounge and study area is very helpful for students. The view of the city and the Brooklyn bridge walk is really beneficial.
Academic Rigor Great Academic Rigor.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you research all you need to know about Pace University before accepting admissions because Pace is not for everyone. I would rather you come into the experience happy and graduate with the same attitude.
In three sentences Pace University is an amazing school that has so much to offer to their students. The staff are as helpful as possible, understanding and knowledge about their subjects and the University. Pace is a safe school that will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to become successful.

Categories Comments Campus Safety this is one thing that i liked a lot, there is always security 24/7. they are also even as so kind to walk you to places if it is late. but only like the train station or the bus stop. they are also really friendly.
Greek Life there is not really much of a greek life because we are in the city and there is no campus to house them, but they try to make their rounds as much as they can.
Clubs and Activities there are clubs but it's mainly business rather than socially stimulating.
Great for these types of students it is really good for students who are used to the city and for kids that are ohk with being away from their parents. though the types of kids that attend this school are a little posh, it is still a good school to attend.
Bang for the buck i do not know about that. they just keep taking our money! but even as expensive it is, they do have a lot to offer.
What to do for fun you can go out to museums, go to the parks. seaport is about a 10 minute walk away, the brooklyn bridge is about a 4 minute walk away. and as for nightlife, there is a party held like every weekend, so if you are in to those kinds of things go for it ;)
Food and Dining when we first got here, the food choices were unbelievable. we were all excited about all the varieties, but after being served the same food and the prices in creasing with a better selection of food, you get bored real easy.
Dorm Life it is nice considering maria's tower is in the same building as the classrooms, but do not plan on sleeping well with a residence dorm filled with freshman.
Academic Rigor teachers are great. some are very confusing because they them self do not know what they want but there are some really great professors.
In three sentences out of 10 it is 6 maybe 7. pace is not as cracked up as it may seem. it is nicer to visit than to actually come.

Categories Comments What to do for fun i like to stay active and explore what the world has to offer. i enjoy anything from hiking, kayaking, and basketball; to just simply watching a movie with popcorn. i also love always learning something new and challenging my mind as much as i can.
Food and Dining the dining isn't bad at all, but when you live in nyc and learn to use websites like livingsocial and groupon all you'll probably want to do is go out and eat with your friends.
Dorm Life living in the financial district in downtown manhattan can't get any better. you are literally walking distance from the brooklyn bridge and tons of beautiful scenery. there will never be a day or night when you find yourself with nothing to do. new york city really is the city that never sleeps and has a lot to offer. it is where dreams come true!
Academic Rigor pace university has an outstanding school of business and accounting called the lubin school of business, which was actually ranked among the best business programs nationwide by u.s.news and world report in its 2011 best colleges survey. the dyson school of arts and sciences at pace university also offers a great majority of majors and has a great team.
Tips for prospective students don't be afraid! seriously! everyone here doesn't care how you were in highschool. at pace university everyone gets along with everybody very well and there are no clicks. its also very cool learning about other peoples culture, religion, and values. attending pace university will definitely change you as a person for the better.
In three sentences living in the city is the greatest thing ever! you are literally in the middle of everything; from diversity, music, art, business, etc. pace university definitely opens up the universe to you while helping you pick what most you most like.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Guards check I.D's every time you enter building; although I've heard of kids sneaking in other kids.
Clubs and Activities Nothing special.
Great for these types of students -If you are rich or don't care about having to take out loans. -Party type people -THEATRE KIDS -Business majors
Bang for the buck For what your paying, the rigor of the school work absolutely sucks. But if your like me, you'll hate having to pay but you'll hate the thought of leaving the city even more.
What to do for fun Museums. Restaurants. Concerts. Parks. Bars. Clubs.
Food and Dining They serve the same thing every day. And it's not really good food. Definitely try things off campus and stock your own fridge.
Dorm Life The beds are really uncomfortable. Definitely bring your mattress pad. The bathrooms are gross too, but you get used to them. Maria's tower isn't that bad, it's pretty typical of a college dorm.
Academic Rigor Classes are easy if you go to class and do your work. And even if you don't. Easier than high school in my opinion. Piece of cake if you did AP/Honors.
Tips for prospective students College isn't just partying. Living in New York City means that you can do other things for fun besides just drinking or getting high. Concerts, food, museums; it's all out there. Don't change who you are because your living in Manhattan or because you want to fit in. You go back to being your weird self eventually anyway.
In three sentences Manhattan is a great location, although the location seems to draw students who may not be so serious. Pace feels a lot like high school most of the time and people like to stare at you and it often feels as though some students don't get along with others. The classes are okay, but the professors are substandard and often give you the impression that they are trying to pass you instead of actually teaching you anything useful. The food sucks but you get used to it. Pace offers a lot of internships though. As well as study abroad and double major and such. And those things are probably why I haven't transferred out. You won't find anything better in New York City without going to NYU or Fordham or Columbia. It's your best bet if you had your heart set on the city but didn't get into the other three colleges.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The security is very tight here. In order to initially get into the building, you must flash your student ID to security guards. Then, to get up to the dorms, you must scan & flash your ID again, and finally, once you get up to your floor, you must scan your ID once again to unlock the door to get where the actually dorms are.
Greek Life There are many Sororities and Fraternities that you can join, starting your freshman year! They do not have separate housing for them, but they contribute very heavily in the community and host alot of events!
Clubs and Activities There are various campus activities and clubs you can join starting your freshman year!
Great for these types of students Outgoing and definitely Independent!
What to do for fun New York City is what we do for fun!! There are so many amazing and fun things to do in the city 24/7 that it is literally impossible to become bored.
Food and Dining Such fantastic food here!! There's two different cafeteria's in the building, ranging from make your own pizza & pasta, to sandwiches, salad bar, Chinese, Mexican, Asian - ANYTHING you can think of!! On top of that, the food is fantastic! We are also given flex dollars on our meal plan that we can spend on restaurants around the area, such as Subway, Chipotle, and Papa John's!
Dorm Life If you're a freshman, I HIGHLY suggest living in Maria's Tower your freshman year. It is an all-freshman dorm and since everyone is in the same boat as you, its incredibly easy to make new friends!!
Academic Rigor Challenge yourself when it comes to classes; get what your paying for!!
Tips for prospective students Be open-minded to new things! College is the best time of your life, and the city is full of opportunities and adventures, but you have to make the initiative to do them!
In three sentences Pace has it's flaws, but then again, what school doesn't? I'm in a great program being taught what I love to do by some of the countries leading professionals in the business. If that's not enough, I'm living in the greatest city in the world!

Bang for the buck The school should be cheaper for the quality of the education.
What to do for fun Join clubs and explore the city.
Food and Dining The food is Pace is good in the beginning, but you can get sick of it fairly quickly.
Dorm Life Freshman Dorming in Maria's Tower is the best.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I work at the gym on campus. It requires me to leave at 6am and it is dark, I call security and there they are to pick me up and drive me to the front door of the gym. The campus is gated at all entrances with a guard to allow people in.. Safety never a issue at Pace.
Greek Life They have a great greek life program however I am not involved with it so I would not be able to give much information on it.
Clubs and Activities Pace offers a wide variety of clubs and activities to meet the likes of all students that enter the college
Great for these types of students Pace is a great college for outgoing students that like to be near the city yet enjoy the peace of the country. They have a friendly and enthusiastic environment. As long as you put yourself out there you are guarantied friends that are honest and fun.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Pace has a small farm with goats, chickens and horses! The school also offers equestrian classes. I myself haven't tried this but it is a different activity then the usual.
Bang for the buck My feeling that education no matter where you go is too much, however for the major I am going for Pace is the school for me and the cost is fair. They do offer scholarships to students that is a help.
What to do for fun I cheer lead. I am also part of the work study program that allows me to be able to meet other students on campus.
Tips for prospective students Apply early, visit the campus, and explore all the options Pace has to offer
In three sentences Pace has a wonderful communications program. It offers many activities students can be involved in. The academic programs are great and all offer tutoring if needed.

Dorm Life I can't wait to live the dorm life and embrace all that college has to offer me.
Academic Rigor I am completely excited to be joining the classes of pace in the fall an have no doubt that their studies will challenge my academic abilities and make me a better student.
Tips for prospective students They offer so many opportunities, make sure you take ever opporunity offered.

Great for these types of students Partiers. Artists.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus You can be standing in the middle of the brooklyn bridge in about 2 minutes flat. Oh and in 41 Park Row, the basement is actually set up like an old fashioned living room. Antiques and all. Super creepy.
Bang for the buck Eh. If you make it worth it. It's really up to you.
What to do for fun Well, you're in New York City, so get involved with things you care about. I loved the protests, (i was here from the beginning of Occupy Wall Street). Also, join clubs! Super important to fill your day, otherwise you'll slide into a depression. Seriously.
Food and Dining Hah! Get a job,and try not to have to eat here. Food doesn't 100% suck, it just never changes, and there aren't many normal choices. Its either salad and fruit, sandwich, knockoff chipotle or chinese.
Dorm Life I lived in Marias Tower- the freshman dorms. I wan't to be surrounded by my class- but I regret it. If you are going to live here, go for a theme floor- the people tend to me more mature, and grow closer vs the regular floors. If not, 9th floor(my floor) has amazing walk in closets! The only floor in the building that has them!
Academic Rigor It may be pretty easy to get in, but it's not so easy to stay in. The classes can be quite challenging, but in a beneficial way.
Tips for prospective students Make friends. Don't expect people to come to you, because this is a huge commuter school- so many already have met. If you make a point to at least have 2 good friends, you're set for the year.
In three sentences Great place to meet many outgoing people. It's in a great location, with trains to take you anywhere in the city- and a view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Just be prepared for noise.

Greek Life Greek life is slim, but when paired with our Pleasantville campus, it is excellent! They have picnics in the park, nights at Dave and Busters, wonderful sisters and wonderful friends. The girls are very proud of their letters.
Clubs and Activities Lots of clubs! Anyone can audition for the student run productions : Studio 501 and Stand Up productions. There is an Improv troop! Student Government. Residential Student club. Sororities. Many many great options.
Great for these types of students Pace is GREAT if you are : A performing arts major! A business major Someone who knows their intended major Someone who would like to be in the hustle and bustle of the greatest city in the world
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The courtyard is a great hang out place for lots of kids, built like an atrium in the middle of our main building. Tradition wise, we have great student activities that have really awesome prizes. I won a 32 inch LG television last week!
Bang for the buck Pace University is very expensive, but if you come with an intended major and are driven to succeed, then you will no doubt make the most of your experience. It is all about the choices each students makes.
What to do for fun What isn't there to do? With a campus as neon lit as New York City, you have the entire world at your finger tips. Any thing you can think to do, New York has to offer. Concerts, Broadway plays and musicals, performances of all kinds, museums, wonderful parks... EVERYTHING!
Food and Dining The caf, as we call Cafe 101, offers many options! A new flex dollars program allows us to venture into the city and spend meal plan dollars in an adorable NY pizza parlor, Chipotle and my all time favorite - Subway.
Dorm Life As a freshman, you will be living in Maria's Tower - a wonderful community of freshman who are looking to seamlessly adapt to both college and New York City life. As a group, you will transition into brighter, more independent versions of yourself.
Academic Rigor The academics at Pace will challenge you! Finals week will be rough, but the classes are well taught and planned.

Bang for the buck It's not that exclusive. It does have its negatives like every school. There tends to be a lot of errors in the school. To get your task completed, you really have to be on top of them.
What to do for fun I got to South Seaport, hang out in the library, go to the cafe, and the student union. I also walk to places near the campus to try new reastaurants.
Food and Dining The food is super expensive. A water bottle is like $2.50. The food is not that great. It is better to go eat at places outside the campus, where there is better and cheaper food.
Dorm Life I don't dorm. I heard that in Maria's Tower, there are like 2 bathrooms for like 30 people on the floor. I heard that it is always loud. The rooms are really small and there are rats.
Academic Rigor At Pace, the academics is not really that hard unless you get a really rough profressor. If you did well in high school, you might not find it that hard.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you have good grades, so you can receives more scholarships. In college, students do a lot more work and don;t procrastinate.
In three sentences It is located in downtown Manhattan. The students are diverse in race and personality. There is something for everyone.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus has very good security
What to do for fun Basically, you can do pretty much anything. Go to clubs, walk around to parks, shopping.
Food and Dining The food is all right, but even if you dont like it, you live in nyc. So, you can pretty much eat anything.
Tips for prospective students This school is really good for business majors and students majoring in the arts.
In three sentences Pace University has many helpful resources such as the library, internships, tutoring center, etc. It also is a great are because there is so much to do. Most importantly, the school has many great courses as well as teachers.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus safety is definitely a plus. Pace's campus is a building for the most part, and then there are 3 other Pace owned buildings. There is security in every location needing to show your Pace ID when one walks in.
Greek Life Greek life is definitely up and coming at Pace. There are seven multicultural fraternities and sororities.
Clubs and Activities A decent amount of Greek organizations and multicultural clubs, along with certain clubs for the many majors Pace has to offer.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus None really.
What to do for fun There are multiple clubs and organizations welcome for every student belonging to any particular interest. From business organizations, to Greek life, there are plenty of outlets for students to explore.
Food and Dining The food is pretty good, considering it isn't your moms home cooked meals. However, it does the job of satisfying and there is a variety of meals and snacks available. It is overpriced but you do get a meal plan and that could somewhat help if one knows how to use it.
Dorm Life Dorm life is great simply because the locations are right in the heart of Wall Street and the city life. The dorm rooms are spacious for the most part and the student a respectable amount of privacy from other floor mates.
Academic Rigor Every professor is different and has a unique teaching etiquette, so make sure you go on RateMyProfessor. Overall, I learned a lot from my classes because the professor took their time with each student making sure they understand the lesson fully.
Tips for prospective students The cafe food is a bit overpriced, so either pack your own lunch or have food stashed at your place. Always go to RateMyProfesor.com before applying for classes, because you always want a professor that's right for your learning style. Also, understand your financial aid because if you don't, no one will.
In three sentences Pace is a relatively small school so the class size is at most 40 students. Pace has a great foundation for internship opportunities and connections. The dorms are lovely, especially for out of state students because one is in the city, and close to the school's campus.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Pace University in New York City has extensive security. Upon entering the building at any entrance, students must show school identification. Dorms also have security and require both a scan card to get onto the floor and a room key to get into the room. I have never felt unsafe there.
Greek Life As stated above, Pace does not have Greek Life in the traditional sense with big houses for the students to live. It does have Greek Life, though. Personally, I do not choose to participate in the Greek Life but I have several friends who have chosen to do so and enjoy it a lot.
Clubs and Activities Although Pace does not have traditional Greek life, it does offer a variety of sororities and fraternities. It also offers a variety of clubs and jobs. There really seems to be something for everyone at Pace.
Great for these types of students Pace is really ideal for independent, driven, social, mature students. This is a school that is fast paced and could probably be overwhelming to some students.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I have not really heard of any unusual traditions or locations on campus so far; however many students walk the Brooklyn Bridge pretty frequently. One of the best places I found my first year was Battery City Park where I would run along the water.
Bang for the buck Pace is one of the more expensive colleges in the country but they do give a lot of financial aid, scholarships, and grants to many students. Some of the things that are included in the cost are healthcare (including free birth control and free counseling), internship opportunities, networking opportunities, and even exciting fall and spring festivals.
What to do for fun Pace is a university that is geared toward fun. All the students are always having a good time whether they are going out to nightclubs, restaurants, and friends' apartments or visiting museums, parks, and galleries. There is really an infinite number of things to do - it's New York City!
Food and Dining Compared to other universities that I have visited, I would say that Pace offers more of a variety of food and has higher quality of food. Over the past few years the cafeteria at Pace has undergone major changes from a revamped menu to an aesthetic makeover. Among the daily options are sandwiches, sushi, Mexican food, salad, and more.
Dorm Life I lived in Maria's Tower, the freshman dorms at Pace which are connected to the main building where most of the classrooms are located. There was an amazing social aspect to living there and I met some of my best friends on my floor. The resident assistant was very approachable and useful at most times and helped to make our floor comfortable, warm, and friendly.
Academic Rigor Different majors and different classes really vary on academic rigor. Some professors are more lenient whereas others are really strict. Generally speaking, the business professors and classes tend to be slightly more strict than many others because Pace is known for its business school.
Tips for prospective students It is important for students to realize that it is easy to get sidetracked from schoolwork with so much going on in Manhattan. With this in mind, students should really attend Pace with the intentions to work hard and do well.
In three sentences Pace University is a unique college experience due to its location in downtown New York City. It is especially beneficial to students because it offers a variety of internships and opportunities. Pace really tries to help students succeed.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Located ideally in downtown New York City, you can literally do anything. You can indulge in the arts and go see a Broadway show or visit some of the famous museums. There's also the beauty of central park and similar landmarks such as Times Square, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty.
Food and Dining The food is excellent. Prepared quickly in front of you. Several varieties are offered including sandwiches, sushi, fruit, salads, burgers, etc. The only downside is getting caught in the lunch rush and having to wait 10+ minutes for your food.
Dorm Life Most incoming freshman dorm in Maria's Tower which is exactly on campus so it gives the privileged of literally being able to roll out of bed and go to class. The standards are doubled but you can volunteer for a triple. The dorms are spacious and sufficient for 2 people to reside within. They also occasionally have a lovely view of the city.
Academic Rigor Although I have not sat in on a class, I have spoken to several current Pace students who tell me the challenges Pace provides are challenging yet bearable. One key component in selecting a university is whether or not the workload would be manageable. With such high costs nowadays there wouldn't be a point in attending an overtop school, while one struggles and tortures oneself merely to pass.
Tips for prospective students Go on the Pace Preview Weekend if you can. Its a wonderful experience and you make several new friends. You may even find your prospective roommate! Take as many campus visits as needed and request whatever information on any inquiries. Apply early action so you can know far ahead of time and start making preparations.
In three sentences A wonderful beacon in downtown Manhattan that inspires utilizing the city's promise and hope. Asides from geographical location the staff and students present express an honest joy from working and studying there. To top it all of, the obvious features are promising such as its academic strength, well roundedness, and capability to prepare its pupils for success.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Honestly. The security at the main campus is lenient because so many people are in and out but they do remember people by face. We have many occasions where students get frustrated when they have to show there I.D but I'm not complaining. They are a phone call away and always available especially when I lock myself out the room and my RA is not in the building.
Greek Life Word of advice: Do your research and keep your interest to yourself ! Get acquainted and you'll know more information. Greek Life at Pace is a great opportunity for a life long brotherhood/sisterhood of service and networking.
Clubs and Activities I don't even to need to brag, Pace is amazing when it comes to clubs and activities. I participated on the Dance Team and several open mic nights. Let's just say you will never be bored unless you are lazy to leave your room or your friends don't want to tag along.
Great for these types of students Any type of student is welcomed at Pace University :)
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Biggest things to look forward to are TownHouse Day, concerts, and the montreal trip.
Bang for the buck You get more results for whatever investment you might make than any alternative investment. It is expensive, trust me, but the end result is beneficial. They are also generous with finical aid and there is opportunities to work on campus, get more scholarships, and activities that pays a part of tuition or books.
What to do for fun Downtown Campus has a great nightlife since they are near the city. At the Westchester campus I relied on a car but there's always a way to have fun. There's always great school activities taking place all the time including games, sports events, greek events, parties, etc...
Food and Dining Most people take Pace University for granted once attending because we have everything and we are use to it. When I hear dining stories from other colleges, I immediately stop complaining because our dining program is like home away from home. It has everything from seafood, fast-food, sushi, breakfast, chinese, carribean, to spanish food. A lot of variety! Plus with our meal cards we an go out of school and purchase from deli's, pizzerias, and chinese spots. Downtown campus is eligible for chipotle and several more good and well known places.
Dorm Life Speak to upperclassmen and do your research on the website on what is best fit for you. On the Westchester campus there are eight different housing options. I am in the Howard Johnson Hall which was previously for graduate students but now for female nursing students. This dorm suits me well and I love it since its quite and my classmates are down the hall if I need help.
Academic Rigor The nursing program in particular is very rigorous and demanding. They have great professors and advisors to help you through anything. If you have any doubts, think about after graduation how Pace networking and internships landed you the best job or career.
Tips for prospective students Make sure the financial aid matches what you need and stay on top of them. Participate in many activities since this is where you will meet a lot of people and form connection. Take advantage of every opportunity!
In three sentences Pace in general in fun filled school with great opportunities. Great diversity and generous financial aid. Also there's various campus in the suburbs and in the city.

What to do for fun Free shuttles to the city, movies, palisades mall, diners... you can find mostly anything within 15 minutes of school.
Food and Dining Not always a great variety, but generally good.
Dorm Life Love the dorm options! Dormed in Dow Hall first year with honors college students and loved every second.
Academic Rigor Really depends on the professor.
Tips for prospective students Visit open houses, stay for an overnight, and talk to current students.
In three sentences I really love it there. It feels like home while being so close to nyc. Lots of opportunities.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Security is every where inside and out of the school because the World Trade Center is down the street. Once you move away from that little circle of security you are on your own.
Greek Life Pace does have many fraternities and sororities to join. If you are looking for something that is like television Greek life then Pace is not for you.
Clubs and Activities Pace has many clubs and free activities to attend. Sometimes they even have food. Almost everyday you can find some type of meeting going on at Pace.
Great for these types of students Homosexuals ( a large lgbt community is in the school. Gays are highly welcomed and embraced here without being judged and tormented.) , social people, business majors, and acting majors will adore this school. It is challenging. Biology majors beware! << very difficult.
What to do for fun What ever you like to do is on you. The college is New York so anything is possible.
Food and Dining The food has improved greatly! The prices haven't. The food is way over priced.
Dorm Life Maria's Tower is a great social environment but the living is horrible and dirty. John street looks better but for some reason Pace made triples out of rooms that should only have two people in them.
Tips for prospective students Stay focused and ALWAYS keep the syllabus.
In three sentences I beleive that Pace encourages students to be what ever they desire to be. However, Pace does not ensure that their students will be successful. Once you are in

Tips for prospective students I suggest prospective students stay focused on school work. In addition, enjoy the resources and take advantage of the opportunities. There are plenty of resources that will help students reach their full potential.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus safety is here is probably the best you will ever find.
Greek Life Greek life is there when you make a presence on campus. Since this school is mostly for commuters not many people see the greek life. My sorority definitely has a presence and we host many events and parties.
Clubs and Activities Once again like I said before its pretty much what you make of it. Clubs and activities are there if you look for them and become involved.
Great for these types of students This school's programs are best known for Theatre students and Business students.
Bang for the buck once again this depends on your program and degree. As for the business school I definitely don't think its worth the amount your paying unless you are from out of state and become super involved on campus like I did. There are better schools out there that will give you a much greater value for the same price you pay to go here.
What to do for fun There are plenty of student orgs to get involved with but there is a lack in student involvement and getting people to go to events. People seem to have their own agenda and don't' participate much on campus. It is a small campus surrounded by the city so this is probably why. There is a great Marketing Association which is what I was involved in and was Vice President for one year. There is greek life as well and I encourage everyone to get involved in a sorority or fraternity. I joined a sorority on campus and it was the best thing I ever did.
Food and Dining The food is really not good for the price they make everything. The people in the cafe are always in a bad mood and it gets so crowded during the day its impossible to get something hot before your next class. The school has made some improvements and attempt to listen to students but they have a long way to go.
Dorm Life My freshman year, I had a great college dorm experience. For your freshman year you live in Marias Tower which is the traditional college dorm and essentially is where you meet everyone. I loved my floor and everyone on it. I had a theme floor and this is the best way to meet people. My floor was the film floor and we were like a family, I still keep in contact years later with the friends I made here.
Academic Rigor The quality of your education ultimately depends on what professor you have, which is why I only gave it 3 stars. There are some horrible professors here and there are some wonderful inspiring professors here as well. The overall quality of education depends on your department and field because they are not all the same. My roommate was in the acting program and she loved it. She applied to Julliard and actually made it to auditions! But did not make the final cut. My rating is for the Business school. It seems to be more of a theoretical approach instead of a well rounded approach to your degree. Once again I feel like the departments within the business school don't communicate and collaborate with each other which could help them out a ton by working together. Your education is pretty much based on your ability to get internships and how you perform in them.
Tips for prospective students Just make sure that the academic programs here are the best for you. If you have applied to some of the top schools in your category and didn't get into any then Pace is a great plan B. In my case, I am a business student and the location of Pace gave me great opportunities for internships and gave me an awesome experience but the overall quality of education here is not the best. There are better schools out there for business like McCombs school of business at University of Texas, Harvard, Princeton, Ross school of business at University of Michigan. I didn't have much of a choice coming out of high school because my grades where not the best so Pace was the best option for me and I made the most of what I got. Now that I have accumulated a great GPA and have had a fresh start, I have been accepted at UT-Austin and am moving on to the better more comprehensive degree programs they offer.
In three sentences Pace University is very expensive but if you're an out of state student looking for a new experience this school is definitely for you. They offer a lot of fanatical aid but administrative bureaucracy really is a pain here. There seems to be a disconnect between departments and thats essentially what is holding this school back a great deal. I have made some amazing new friends and some amazing professors but every students experience seems to be different, some people like it and some people hate it.

Categories Comments Greek Life better at the pleasantville campus
In three sentences Pace University is a great school for business and acting majors only. All other majors BEWARE, internship and job opportunities are scarce. Science majors should especially be weary, the labs have not been updated in decades, for the cost of tuition I'd say skip this place. Also, financial aid and the office of student assistance are the worst departments ever. Be ready for long lines and workers with attitudes.

Food and Dining Food cafeteria at all campus building.
Academic Rigor The academic rigor at Pace University gives the student the foundation needed to utilize their degree in the community after graduation. The University embraces the student through their academic years to flourish and empower themselves with the learning established by the University.
Tips for prospective students My tips for prospective students is to stay focus on the academic goals established and to be flexible in understanding the assigned advisor guidance for graduating and obtaining your degree.
In three sentences My attendance at Pace University has been an exciting journey which will be opening doors in my nursing management career with the Masters of Public Administration degree I am pursuing. Categories Comments Campus Safety The safety in the school is great! If you have light night classes or stay around with your friends and don't want to walk alone to the train or your dorm, the security guards will kindly walk you to where ever you have to go with out a problem.
Clubs and Activities There's a grand variety of clubs in the school that you with out a doubt wont have a problem choosing one. There's something for everything and its a great way to meet new people and have something to do on your spare time.
What to do for fun Pace is located in New York city where there's tons to do, you can walk a couple blocks to the seaport where there's always something good going on and restaurants every where you look. you can take a ride on the Staten island ferry or take the 1,2,3 train to time square where you'll never get bored.
Tips for prospective students I recommend to check in with your counselors on a regular and on your free time make sure to look back at your notes from time to time.
In three sentences I would say pace is a highly recommended school where not only the education is great but the people there are wonderfully helpful. Its not as large as other schools but still have a good student to teacher ratio. Pace is a wonderful educational community that anyone would enjoy being in.

Great for these types of students Great for students who enjoy city living and want internships and to make the most out of their college experience.
What to do for fun It's New York City so you can do pretty much anything you can think of for fun.
Food and Dining The cafes are nice and pretty spacious. The food has gotten better over the last year. It's not the best but it's not the worst and some items like the sandwiches and wraps are significantly better than others.
Dorm Life Dorm life is not the same as a typical campus school. You have to want to live in a city to enjoy dorming at Pace. It's close quarters but the dorms are clean and you become close with the people you live with and near, especially freshman year.
Academic Rigor Like anything else, difficulty depends on the level of the class you take, but most professors take their classes very seriously and do give significant amounts of work, but most are also very helpful and made available for extra help and extra explanation.
Tips for prospective students Always prioritize and don't let the distractions in the city keep you from schoolwork.
In three sentences Pace University is a great school that has afforded me so many fantastic opportunities I would not have received had I gone elsewhere. Pace has the most fantastic location in the heart of downtown Manhattan, making it ideal for anyone who wants to make New York City their place of work. Great for these types of students Everyone! Literally, anyone can go to Pace, there is a wide variety of students attending. You won't find a more diverse campus
Bang for the buck My experience at Pace has been good. It met and exceeded my expectations in every area, especially on the teach-student relationship. There's no need to slack off, and asking for help isn't as threatening as it was in high school.
What to do for fun You're in downtown New York City, what more is there to say? If that's not enough there are several campus activities waiting for you attend; just have to look them up.
Food and Dining Food is excellent, the only problem I can see for students is in wasting the balance in their meal plans! All food is fresh, and they even have sushi chefs. What more could you want?
Dorm Life Dorm life is great, you're in the middle of downtown, and the school is only a few blocks away, or even at the school itself! Traffic won't stop you from getting the rest you need.
Academic Rigor It's tough, so no slacking!
Tips for prospective students Be on time, talk to the professors; make a relationship with them. And above all else do not be intimidated by how others may look or act, chances are they are the same as you.
In three sentences Pace is a place for diversity, you won't find another campus with so many different types of people in the area. Categories Comments Campus Safety Pace University is actually across from a Police department in Manhattan. People often confuse Pace's mailing address with theirs. We are in the financial district so security off campus is heightened. On-campus we have our on cameras and security as well. I never personally feel threatened on or off campus at Pace.
Greek Life I personally am not part of any fraternities or sororities, but Pace is home to many of them. The connections and opportunities to meet people, intern, travel, etc. are endless.
Clubs and Activities Pace is home to many clubs and activities from Student Government, to Marketing clubs, and even our own LGBT club. We offer way more than the three and are very open to students wishing to start new clubs.
Great for these types of students Students who are fast-paced, go-getters, love to social, love going out, interning, trying new things and love diversity.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There aren't many unusual traditions or locations on campus at Pace. One unusual thing about Pace itself is it doesn't have a traditional college campus. We have various buildings which students enter for classes and dorming. Going to Pace University will make you feel like a New Yorker!
Bang for the buck Pace University is a well-known school and has a great reputation. It is much cheaper than NYU and the educational experience in comparison to NYU would be a lot more personal. We also host and give free tickets to students to the television show, Inside the Actor's Studio!
What to do for fun You are in the city that never sleeps (well at least parts of it). There are always on-campus events. These events always have something free whether it be pens, pencils, notepads, food, dorm decorations, or apparel. There are many things to do off campus as well. There are numerous zoos, museums, art galleries, clubs, bars, lounges, restaurants, and parks to visit. Also, New York City is known for having many free concerts often taking place in Central Park.
Food and Dining Food and dining on campus is a lot better and cleaner. It is still very pricey and not very competitive with outside food vendors. It is convenient and tastes ok.
Dorm Life The dorm life is great. It is expensive, but try to dorm at least your freshman year. The friendships you make and the experiences will last a lifetime.
Academic Rigor Pace is known for producing quality as we are ranked 9th in the nation for producing interns.
Tips for prospective students Work hard, get involved, network and take advantage of everything Pace has to offer.
In three sentences Pace University is a very diverse school with lots of opportunity for personal and professional growth. Being in the heart of the financial district, you have access to top companies where you can intern and/or work. Pace University's staff members are very knowledgeable in the areas they teach and are often times still currently employed in their field; which is great because they can keep students up to date with personal experiences.

Categories Comments Clubs and Activities Plenty of clubs and activities that can help you to get involved, so don't be afraid to try them.
Great for these types of students Theater majors and Business majors. For the Arts & Sciences, there are great programs depending on your major, so if you're touring the school make sure you ask about that.
Bang for the buck Pace is a pricy school, but they've helped me with my financial aid. However, make sure this is the school for you. If you're not feeling it, look for another school that fits your standard.
What to do for fun Since it's New York city, there's plenty to do. You can see a theater production or a festival or just hang out.
Food and Dining Food's pretty good. You get a meal plan, the amount depending on your year. You also get something called flex dollars on your card where you can spend that money on outside sources like Chipotle, Subway, Potbelly, and more.
Dorm Life Be careful with Maria's Tower, it's not the best dorm and people tend to get crazy. Try John St. or Fulton.
Academic Rigor It can be difficult at times, but the professors are willing to help you. As an English major, I'm learning a lot. My professors have been extremely helpful.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to get involved with extra curricular activities, you get to know the community better. Also, stay focused on your studies and have fun. Don't stress yourself out, enjoy your time in college.
In three sentences Although it's expensive, Pace University is very good school. The professors are helpful an there are a lot of resources to help students to do well like the Tutoring Center or the Writing Center. Also, there's a Career center where career advisers offer career opportunities for your major, internships, interview workshops, and improvements to your resumes.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Very safe area. If you put yourself in a foolish situation, then it's your fault and I hope you learned your lesson. This is New York, for Christ's sake
Greek Life Lots of them, but not strong communities as it is in the Northeast, where Greek life is hardly important.
Clubs and Activities Mostly frats and sororities as far as I can tell. There aren't many clubs.
Great for these types of students Theater students
Bang for the buck Not worth the cost of attendance.
What to do for fun Go clubbing, if you're a party person-- that's the only partying you'll be doing until you meet people with their own apartments. The frat parties are in clubs and they suck. It's NYC, however. You can go anywhere on the islands and make fun for yourself. There is never a limit on how much fun you can have, if you try hard enough. It's really up to you.
Food and Dining One word: yuck. At first (the first week) it seems good, but you soon realize that it doesn't agree with your digestive system and is vastly overpriced. There is never any consistency in what they have and don't have. The fruit is frozen, never fresh. If you like to eat healthy, the salad bar is the only good option for you.
Dorm Life I don't like Maria's Tower. It's filthy and overcrowded. It also looks like some sort of late '90s rehab center. I suggest living here only if you care about getting to know the freshman class better. The other dorms apparently are wonderful, but since I only live here, and not in those, this is all I know. Broken AC, chipped windows, offensive lighting, etc.
Academic Rigor The classes that you are required to take are a waste of money. Press your advisor hard to get the classes that are appropriate for you.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you want to live in the city, specifically in the financial district. Know what you're getting into before you decide to spend the money to attend. Make sure that you try to acclimate yourself to city living (especially the subways) before you come for school, because it is too much to handle when you also are worrying about your first year of school. Be very specific and honest when you are filling out your application on The Roommate Project because it DOES matter. And try to get your deposit in early.
In three sentences The student community here is dispersed and not well kept; I believe most of the student groups are frats/sororities, which is not my cup of tea. The freshman dorm is horrible and overcrowded, but other dorms are quite nice. The academics should be judged on a case-by-case basis; I don't care for my courses (such as the required classes), and their use of transferrable credits is strange to me.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Like I said, its expensive, but taking advantage of your time here and resources can make it worth it.
Dorm Life Very expensive and no sense of community
Tips for prospective students If you do choose to come to Pace, make SURE you have the funds. It may be your dream to be in NYC, but you have your whole life. Understand that this school is very expensive and once you are lured here, there really is no easy escape
In three sentences Pace is a great school with very knowledgable professors. Some offices are great for providing assistance, and some really are not. Take advantage of your time and location while you are here!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Pace security is decent. They do their job by protecting their students, but it is New York City so if you make bad choices, it is on you ultimately.
Greek Life Greek life is a joke at this school. Nobody takes it very seriously and the frats/sororities are not well known, have little affect on the community, and mainly throw horrible parties.
Clubs and Activities There are tons of clubs at Pace. The times where most of the clubs meet tend to be inconvenient because most meet during common hour (tends to fall around meal times). Overall, it is worth it to go to meetings and to get involved.
Great for these types of students Pace is great for privileged students. Also a great school for performing arts and business majors. It has one of the top acting programs in America. You need money to go here.
Bang for the buck Pace seems like a great college with all their fun activities and the fact that New York City is their campus. This is great at first, but for the price, academically does not match up. If fun and parties are your priorities for a college, Pace is the school for you. If you want to go to college to learn and not be in debt with student loans for the rest of your life, go elsewhere.
What to do for fun New York City is your campus! There is so much to do for fun in the area such as go to the seaport and enjoy the mall, dining, museums. China Town and Little Italy are right next to campus so it is always fun to explore and get a small taste of culture. Night life in the city is crazy. There are parties every week, clubs, restaurants, bars, Broadway, Times Square...practically anything imaginable. Pace has tons of clubs and activities through housing and events so there are usually trips, Broadway shows, activities, free stuff, etc. Pace is overall a very fun school and there are lots of things to do in the city.
Food and Dining There are lots of options, but after a semester the food gets old. On the weekends, don't expect to get good quality food or very many options. The stations where there is a variety for meals are closed on weekends.
Dorm Life There are many options available for dorms and cheap apartments are nearby. The facilities aren't the best in the traditional style dorms with community bathrooms, but overall are decent. There are lots of students who dorm so you meet a lot of people and it is a very family/close community feel.
Academic Rigor The required classes to graduate are not intellectually stimulating. Of course this should be expected, yet it is not worth the tuition if one's academics are not helping personal advancement.
Tips for prospective students It is important to know what you want from your school before you choose this university. Ask current students how they like the school while touring! One should not choose this school if they are very interested academically, classes won't be challenging.
In three sentences This university is not very challenging. There are very small classes, a very stereotypical community, and overall privileged student body. It is too expensive for the education it gives out, unless one is in the performing arts or business school.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Joining clubs can help you meet lots of people. There's museums around, tons of shopping, and a bunch of things for a night life. Don't be afraid to experience the boroughs, besides Manhattan.
Food and Dining The campus food can be very diverse but eating only there can become monotonous and a bit pricy. You shouldn't eat there everyday, instead branch out and try the food around the area. Don't forget to try out the food on b-level because they can be useful snacks.
Dorm Life Keep your room clean because vermin are more prevalent in New York CIty than other places. Be friendly with everyone because everyone can be helpful to you. Don't forget to experience the city.
Academic Rigor You will find that the teachers can be the most competent and the least. If you do all that is asked of you, you will find that the academics are manageable. Online classes are not to be feared, with a little responsibility they can make life easier.
Tips for prospective students Enjoy the dorm life and remember to be friendly with everyone. Keep in mind that the main reason you are there is for your studies. Even though you're in NYC, don't forget that there are free things to do in the city.
In three sentences It's a much different experience from a traditional campus. There will be opportunities for your career that you won't have anywhere else. Life at Pace University can be the most exciting thing if you let it be.

Categories Comments Campus Safety You are very safe. It's a safe campus
Greek Life Greek life is really good. There are not as many on this campus as others, but it's still very lively.
Clubs and Activities There are so many clubs and different activities to do. There are at least 2 events every day to do.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Attend to find out!
Bang for the buck You get what you pay for, it's a really good school that offers a lot of scholarships.
What to do for fun There is SOOOO much to do. You just have to decide what you want to do.
Food and Dining It's college food. Some of the food is really good, and there's something different to eat. You just have to check the expiration date.
Dorm Life The dorm life is amazing. There's always a new face to meet here. It may not have the wildest parties, but there are a thousand ways to have fun.
Academic Rigor The classes aren't difficult as long as you do the work.
Tips for prospective students Check out both campuses! There's a completely different vibe at both.
In three sentences Pace University is a really good place to meet people, get a degree, and secure an internship if you are dedicated to it. Your experience depends on what you make of it. There are two campuses that can fit a wide range of students.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There's security in every Pace building, everything is about a 4-1 minute walk away from each other. The security guards are required to see everyone's i.d.'s.
Greek Life There is Greek life, and people are involved, but it's not something that is necessary to fit in at Pace
What to do for fun Going out in the city of course! There's so much to see and experience. Don't be scared of taking the train, there's pretty much a bunch of apps to help you find your way around the city.
Food and Dining I personally do not like the food in the cafeteria, but I know people who do. It's all based on your interpretation of what good food tastes like.
Dorm Life Dorms are hit or miss there are positive and negative things to weigh.
Academic Rigor Like probably every student at any college or university, their professors can be hit or miss. Some professors will be hard some easy, some terrible and some will be amazing. I personally think I'm getting a good education, and the administration is working on making Pace a better school. Ratemyprofessor.com is a huge help, but I advise switching to an other professor, if you do not like the one you currently have.
Tips for prospective students Visit, visit, visit. You need to know if the school is a right fit for you. Things can all look pretty on paper, but you get a real sense of wether or not it's a good fit for you when you visit.
In three sentences I love it at Pace, there's so much exploring to do because it's a school in the city. I would advise going for a visit to see if it is a good for you.

Categories Comments Food and Dining The food can be really good, but at times the staff have trouble with quality control. They will overcook things sometimes or forget about your food. However, they are kind enough to do it over.
Dorm Life Dorm life is great! You get to meet a lot of people and spend time together with your classmates/peers.
Academic Rigor There are so many classes to chose from after your first semester. The classes are pretty good and most teachers are willing to help you.
Tips for prospective students Find all the scholarship money you can, there is a lot of money given to you by the school, but you never know what will come up. Also with scholarship money, you can relax while everyone else is fretting about how to pay their college bills. Do not buy books from the school store, you're paying way too much for books you may not need in the class.
In three sentences I attend Pace at the other campus, but both are really great colleges. The Westchester campus offers a really comfortable, small feeling. Pace is the perfect place for people who want to enjoy college and better their future.

Categories Comments Campus Safety This is campus has one of the tightest security in all of New York. No one can get in or out of the building without a Pace ID, and you need another ID to get into the dorms. There are security guards all over the building to keep everyone safe.
Greek Life There are several sororities and fraternities at Pace University, and even consists of a rush week.
Clubs and Activities There is something for everyone at Pace!
Great for these types of students All types of students!
Bang for the buck It is totally worth every penny!
What to do for fun For fun I explore the city, have movie nights with my friends, go out to bars, clubs, and restaurants. The city life is amazing!
Food and Dining The food is incredible here. They have a la carte items, where they make it right in front of your face. There is also a large variety of foods that you can eat in the Cafe. Lets not forget about the Starbucks!
Dorm Life There are several dorms around Pace University that is open to all grade levels, with a Freshman only dorm connected to the school. I live in the freshman only dorm called Maria's Tower. I really enjoy it because everything is right below me if I needed it.
Academic Rigor The classes at Pace University are pretty rigorous, it's business and science programs are some of the most difficult at the university.
Tips for prospective students Tips for getting into Pace: Good Essay, Good SAT Scores, and a Good GPA will get you in for sure.
In three sentences This is an exceptional school that provides great opportunities, being located in the heart of New York City. It is known for its internships and is ranked number 1 in the state for it. You have a great opportunity for networking, which is an essential perk of attending college.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Security at Pace is HUGE. In fact it is ranked highly compared to other colleges in the nation. I feel extremely safe when I walk into any Pace building and see 5 security guards checking my ID at the same time.
Greek Life It actually is alive and well here!
Clubs and Activities We have a lot of clubs offered at Pace but it takes individual initiative of students to actually join them and get involved.
Great for these types of students Prospective business/finance students and theatre students would do very well here however Pace is not limited to just that.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Our campus is located just blocks away from Ground Zero and therefore we are especially tied to the memorial date of 9/11. Every year, Pace has a candle light vigil to honor all those involved.
Bang for the buck Compared to other Manhattan schools (NYU, Columbia/Barnard, etc), Pace is slightly more affordable and much more generous when it comes to financial aid. Many awesome perks are offered to me as a student here such as discounted theatre and movie tickets, free museum admittance, and access to Pace events. In my first semester, I ended up seeing Kanye West and 2Chains perform for just 10 dollars. More educationally, there are many interesting and challenging courses offered . Professors are mostly very high qualified and many boast cool research programs that students can join. Opportunities are endless here.
What to do for fun Pace has greek life in the city which, although I'm not apart of, I hear is very fun. Being in Manhattan though, there are many other activities to do such as restaurant hopping, park exploring and site seeing. Shopping is always fun of course as well. For the broke college student, thrifting is a wise/time consuming/fun choice too!
Food and Dining I reluctantly entered Pace's cafe on my first day of college. I expected the worst possible food but thankfully I was completely mistaken. There is a plethora of options daily and I never find myself disappointed when I leave. The meal plan, especially for freshmen, is perfect and allows one to pretty much eat as often as they want without running out of funds (within reason of course).
Dorm Life Living in Manhattan is not a cheap thing to do but Pace allows me to live here for four years with a reasonable fee for room and board. On top of that, there are multiple dorming options that are all wonderful in their own unique ways. John Street dorms are beautiful!
Academic Rigor I came into Pace expecting it to be an easy school. During my application process, Pace was always considered a safety school and I therefore expected it to be a breeze. It is not. One must truly work and study in order to earn a high GPA. Studying is a must.
Tips for prospective students Prospective students should work hard to earn acceptance to Pace's Pforzheimer Honors College. Acceptance grants students a 15,000$ scholarship and it also provides students with superb opportunities both educationally and socially. Other than that, students should definitely come visit Pace for a two day stay and witness the magnificence Manhattan and learning here.
In three sentences Nowhere in the world is as exciting and promising for a well rounded education than New York City. Pace provides students with vigorous courses, top internship opportunities and a lot of room for personal growth. I would not trade going to this college for anything.

Clubs and Activities There are a lot of clubs! If there is one that you would like to have you can make it yourself.
Great for these types of students Fun energetic and artsy.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There are houses (non Greek life related) that take you on fantastic trips.
Bang for the buck The school is ridiculously expensive but I feel it is well worth it.
What to do for fun It's New York City, the possibilities are endless!
Food and Dining The food is not bad but you do get sick of eating it after a while.
Dorm Life Living in the dorms in Manhattan is amazing and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Academic Rigor Most course work is really easy however, it can be difficult at times.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are checkpoints at every single entrance to the school and additional guards for the residence halls. Plus, there are general patrol units around the school.
Bang for the buck They have great financial aid but the classes completely depend on the teacher, so you have to know the 411 so to speak to get your moneys' worth.
What to do for fun Anything my friends and I can think of, we live in the city!
Food and Dining Don't dine on campus if you can avoid it.
Dorm Life I love dorm life! I love how it's set up at Pace and how they make social activity so accessible.
Academic Rigor Classes cater to the mediocre mind. To get the most out of Pace you have to know what you want.

Dorm Life Dorm life varies from dorm to dorm. Pace is for the independent student. It is a very atypical college experience.
Academic Rigor It depends on what program you are in. CAP, Honors, Performing arts, etc.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Extremely safe, multiple ID checks to get into the building. Although there has been a homeless woman known to sleep in on of the study rooms..
Greek Life Surprisingly there is Greek life here. Although there are no houses on the NYC campus is does seem to foster some sense of community within those who participate.
Great for these types of students Partiers, people who want to live in NYC without the academic rigor of NYU or Columbia, rich kids who want to get a BFA Acting degree.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Everyone generally hangs out in the caf or outside on the stoop chain smoking.
Bang for the buck Honestly if you want to get a good education in NYC: don't go here. At Pace you'll end up spending NYU prices and get a lot less. Facilities are lacking, only a handful of good professors. Extremely overpriced.
What to do for fun To be honest, people drink and smoke their weekends away. Partying, going to clubs and bars or just drinking in the dorm is all most people do for fun. Exploring NYC and taking advantage of things other than clubs and bars are not on most of the kid's minds.
Food and Dining Food is actually pretty decent. Not a ton of selections and it's all pretty overpriced, but compared to most college food its good. Fresh sushi, salad bar, fried food, taco/burrito station, deli for sandwiches, pizza and pasta. But it gets old really fast.
Dorm Life Living in Maria's Tower (the main freshman dorm) was a huge mistake. Living in the same building you take classes in seems great at first but it gets claustrophobic and truly horrible. Wish I would have dormed somewhere else my freshman year.
Academic Rigor Student't here are not focused on academics. Actually had a professor sit our whole class down and told us that Pace is not known for it's rigorous academics BUT if you do try you can set yourself apart from the crowd (who don't care about school at all).
Tips for prospective students Make sure it's worth the cost. Much better schools in Manhattan are the same price if not less. Don't fall in love just because it's in NYC. Realize that academics are not it's strong suit and the schools tends to favor theater, businesses and comm majors. Also, dorming as a freshman in MT is horrible. Live somewhere else.
In three sentences Nice location, but becomes dead on the weekends. Not a great culture, very clique-y. Some good professors but a ton of adjuncts.
