The programs are rigorous, but wonderfully small and provide many resources for help and additional learning. The homework and reading are heavy, and going the extra mile in your studies pays off.

Pacific Lutheran University communicates that it is very connected and caring towards it's students. They don't neglect their student; they provide academic help resources as well as personal and academic counseling. They have many student led activities and organizations, including ad publishing, theater and arts, miscellaneous clubs, and a radio station.

Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) is a private university that has a welcoming atmosphere and fits many different personalities. The main focus is the academics, of course, but then there are many different clubs and organizations out there for people to join. There is always some event going on with these clubs and organizations, from concerts in Lagerquist Hall in the Mary Baker Russell Music Building to leaving campus for a day on the water or on Mt. Rainier.

Students around campus are friendly. Professors love have students come to office hours outside of the classroom. If finding a major is hard, Academic Advising is always there for help.

PLU is the perfect fit for students who aren't striving for a big, city setting. The personalized education that is offered to the students makes this school well worth going to. The sense of community here is heart-warming and welcoming to all.

The upside of this school is that they have helpful resources like a writing center, help desk, counseling center, health center, etc. The downside of this school is definitely the price. In the end this school will be what you make it to be for yourself.

Pacific Lutheran University for me is rated one on my list of schools to go to. Academically it gives students the ability to study in a small classroom environment and for a student to succeed. Also, it allows athletes to play at an NCAA DIV III level while going to school.
