    Tips for prospective students

If any tips i can give students is just have an open mind to learn new things and be very active in what you do. This school is very unique because their learning methods are really different from what i am used to, they teach by keeping each student active and giving them an opportunity to discuss and give their personal opinion on what they are learning. Its such a friendly and Relax school because they want the best for their future educators. So if you want a college that will make you feel at home, valued, encouraged, and respected then this is the college for you. You will become apart of the Pacific Oaks College family once you meet all the professors and staff, because they all have different and unique personalities.

One thing that i really liked about P.O. was that they treated me and all the other students like family. It set a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere because they really didn't look at the outside appearance, but at each of our personality. i would give P.O. a 10 in my review book because they treat us really good and really encourage us to fulfill our potential, they even give us a hand to lean on( support) when we feel we cant or will not be able to go through school. I love P.O. for who they are and their philosophy.

Great school! You will definitely love this school. You will wonder as to why you didn't attend sooner!

    What to do for fun

Pasadena is located conveniently so many great attractions. You can decide to go to the beach or the pier in Venice, or go skiing in Big Bear Mountain. Additionally, there are several college campus near by that host several events open to the public.

    Food and Dining

I am not too sure of the dining facilities. But, I do know there are several restaurants near by. As well as, there are fast food locations.

    Dorm Life

Unfortunately, there is not student housing. However, there are several affordable apartments in the area. Additionally, most students just love at home with their parents.

    Academic Rigor

I give this school 5 stars because the work is fair. As in it is fairly challenging and fairly easy, yet very interesting. You may find yourself being surprised at all that you can take from a lesson and how it can apply to your everyday life.

    Tips for prospective students

I suggest, when applying just put your passion into all your papers required for entry. As stated previously, that this school is so small, so they are able to see how compassionate you are about attending the school and pursuing a career in one of the few fields of study offered. Additionally, use the opportunity of small classes to be able to network, just by reaching out to classmates and staff on educational, volunteer, or career opportunities.

This school is so wonderful as it is a very small campus with very friendly staff. I love the fact that all administrative staff know you by name and not a student id#. Also, the classroom setting is very small, so you will be comfortable enough to speak up if you have a question and have a close relationship with your professor.
