There is always something going on right on campus. If you take the time to read the flyers or leaf through your email, there is no way you can be bored. Also, the rec center is fantastic and has a ton of stuff available.

I haven't been able to go to the gym yet but would love to because I have heard good things about it. The clubs and organizations are pretty cool.

Pellissippi has a lot of different clubs and organizations one can join. Something new they have begun is the service-learning. That's where students can volunteer with various organizations in Knoxville and the surrounding areas, and receive credit for their transcript and resume! If a student earns 60+ hours during their time at Pellissippi, they even graduate with special honors. There are always people to talk to and there are several special events for students that take place throughout the year.

There is a track surrounding the pond when first entering the campus which can be used for walking or running. During the summer, Melton Hill Lake is less than five miles away from campus and is a popular hang out for swimming and grilling out. There is also usually something going on in the courtyard, ranging anywhere from free food and people handing out voter registration forms to local radio stations giving away free merch.

Again, this was a bit of a problem at Pellissippi. There wasn't much to do for fun unless you became a part of the very few clubs offered. Even then though, the clubs met around the same time that most classes run, making scheduling conflicts often occurrences.
