There is always something to do. Every sport is big here from football to hockey to basketball, so there is usually always a game going on during the weekends. If sports aren't your thing, PSU's party scene is insane. There is always multiple parties.

There is tons to do in Penn State for fun! About 30 minutes away there is the Penn Cave where you can take a tour of an under ground cavern by a boat. Just remember to bring a sweater, it gets cold down there even in the summer. On the weekends, Penn State has Late Night at the HUB where different events are held such as crafts and you can watch a relatively-new released movie at the theatre there. The Clubs and associations network is huge at Penn State, there is always something for everyone.

The best thing to do for fun is to attend a sports game with your friends. The women's volleyball team and men's wrestling team were both recently Division I NCAA champions. The best sports game to watch at Penn State is a football game! The games are almost always sold out and filled with school spirit.

-There are free movies at the HUB on weekends. They are movies that aren't on DVD yet, but are no longer in theaters. They pick pretty good movies too. Definitely recommend. Also there are movie theaters off campus that a bus or taxi can take you too. Cheap as well. -If under 21, lots of parties downtown. Just be careful in the frats. Watch your intake. I was lucky, but plenty of people I know got underages, or got hurt. -If over 21, the bars are freaking amazing here. So many choices and cheap deals. Don't bother with fakes. They basically never, ever work. I did know one person who used one and got it once, but it was taken away the next bar he went too. Depends on the bouncer whether they call the cops or not. -So many restaurants and eateries here. Check them all off your list. -Plenty of plays and performances to see for cheap with student discount -Join Clubs!

There is literally something fun to do every single night on this campus! Go see a performance at Eisenhower Auditorium, a free concert sponsored by the Student Performing Arts in the Hub, or one of the varsity sports teams dominate on the court/field/mat. Participate in a Greek life philanthropy, start an Intramural sports team, or shop downtown and grab a bite to eat with friends at one of the many restaurants off campus. While Penn State is known for being a big party school, there are plenty of opportunities to have fun and meet people that don't involve alcohol.
