    What to do for fun

For fun you can visit the Philadelphia museum of art, the Rodin museum, The Barnes Foundation, take a 2 hour trip to new york, or draw in PAFA's own museum/cast hall (super fun!)

    Campus Safety

    Safe

    Greek Life

There was one martial art club I heard, but i think it no longer exist, as I said before, clubs are not popular in PAFA

    Clubs and Activities

Not too many clubs, it's not part of the tradition

Great for these types of students

PAFA is great for students or anyone who is looking for a classical fine art training. The level of new students varies, so don't worry about your level, you'll learn a lot

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    Near center city in Philly

    What to do for fun

Karoke? That's totally up to u lol

    Food and Dining

Close to Reading Terminal Market, and China town. Easr access to grocery and restaurant.

    Dorm Life

PAFA does not has a dorm, though it cooperate with Park Town Place so students can live there too. It is a terrible place, everyone I know complain about it. Don't live there, go craigslist or roomster and find a better place if you're planning to go to PAFA.

    Academic Rigor

As long as you show effort, the teachers won't go hard on you. Once again, art education is to inspire your creativity and guide you to self knowledge so you become a unique human being and artist.

    Tips for prospective students

The acceptance rate is 94%, you are likely gonna be accepted. My advice is, when you do your pro-folio, change yourself to do larger and more atmospheric pieces. The school loves paintings/drawings with good rythm and atmosphere. Of course, you also need to show a strong foundation in understanding form and structures. Basically, the faculties favor artists such as Sargent/ Dega/ Dickenson, if you are a painter you know what to do ;)
