Get involved with organizations and clubs! You'll make a lot of new friends and become a more well rounded student. Also, prepare for a VERY long winter; it starts to snow in October! Finally, don't overload on courses, you have 4 or even 5 years to complete your undergraduate degree.

Penn State has been a great way to introduce me the college life. The classes, campus, and students are a great fit for someone not looking for a large campus.
» Read MoreIt is a highly motivating campus. The teacher-student relationship potential is wonderful if you are interested in creating a bond with a knowledgeable mentor. Also, the student body is very accepting of the numerous cultures represented on campus.
» Read MorePenn State Behrend may not be as big as University park, or offer as much activities, but in terms of academics, Behrend offers a much more decent setting to learn. The facilities and some of the classrooms aside from the library are open overnight so that students may always have a comfortable setting to study. The teachers are also easy to meet with and work with since the classroom sizes are moderate or at least much smaller than the ones presented on the main campus.

» Read MorePenn State Behrend is great its big enough to offer a lot of things smaller campuses can't while still being small enough for a lot of individual attention. The staff is always very nice and helpful. It's always a fun time there, Can't wait to go back in the fall.

Regardless of the recent fuss about Penn State in the news, Behrend is and always will be my top choice. Small class sizes, decent living amenities (food, housing etc) and location; this one of 26 Penn State campuses was a perfect fit for me.
