If you want to stay close, there are multiple beaches and hikes, as mentioned, to take a part in. The Campus Recreation Office organizes camping and backpacking trips for students to take advantage of. Also, one can drive through the canyon to go to restaurants or head over to Santa Monica to experience the Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, and other famous locations.

The Board, which is like high school's ASB but with 10 times more funds, offers great opportunities to have fun. They put together Blue and Orange Madness and 2 concerts for students. This year Gavin Degraw performed. They have had free trips to Color Me Mine and Rosco's. This is just the tip of the ice berg. There are sometimes parties, off campus of course (know that Pepperdine is a dry campus), but you'll have to get a hold of a Greek life person to know when and where. There's always the beach, 5 minutes away. Santa Monica is at the end of PCH, and LA even further South. Both are great options but sometimes a hassle because it's so far away.

We are about a 15 minute walk from the beach, so lots of students go there when it's warm. Many also go out on the weekends to clubs and movie theaters, or drive 30 minutes to LA. Santa Monica, the place with the Ferris Wheel on the pier, is about a 20 minute drive from campus and has fabulous shopping. 3rd Street Promenade is pedestrianized, so it's a cool place to just go and hang out at. It has good vibes.

BEACH!!! Thats an obvious choice, but literally, whenever we get bored, we go right to the beach and it never gets old. Other fun stuff to do, if you have a car, would be to go to J-BO (aka Jack in the Box), the Santa Monica Pier, shopping, go around LA.. etc... Basically, you're in Malibu, there are so many fun things to do, you just have to go out and find them. If you or your friends don't have a car, you can still find stuff to do around campus. Make an adventure out of it. Go to the HAWC, walk around campus, visit other dorms, make huge games of Hide and Seek (we're kids at heart) etc etc. There's always something to do! (:
