PhilaU can seem a bit pricey, but really the school provides a lot of opportunities for students in a variety of areas. The closeness to the city, the different activities available for students, the job and internship opportunities, and the assistance available for struggling students are only some of these opportunities.

PhilaU is supposed to have one of the worst ROIs of all US colleges (though it's argued this study was flawed) according to Businessweek. However, students who weren't a waste of space in high school generally receive a $10k or greater academic scholarship and the university's financial aid is always willing to help find ways to make school affordable. All of the professors are experienced and the school is well connected to the real world (Verizon, Maurice Kanbar, world-famous designers, architecture firms, and more).

The career services department is excellent and will help you out with anything you need. The library as well as the gym are great, and the campus itself is gorgeous. While the University is private and does cost a good deal of money, if you take advantage of all that it has to offer, it can be worth it.
