Talk to everyone who can help you. You don't know what they have to offer until you ask. I didn't even think I could afford attending until I spoke with the financial aid office, and now I am about to graduate with my AAS degree. Also, work hard and show your dedication; the more you show how much you want your education, the more serious you will be taken in the long run... And don't let any of the instructors intimidate you your first semester, a few take getting used to.
