Am learning a lot
The classes here are very informational depending on what kind of student you are, you may have to switch a teacher or two, because I'll admit some of these teachers don't know how to connect with younger people. But the information they give is still very useful.
Am enjoying being here
I love it at school, I never thought just walking the campus would be fun, there are so many different groups just around the campus, some dance, some sing, some even just talk to passing people to get to know someone new, I like this school a lot.
Bang for the buck
The classes here are all very good, when I was a Prospective student i took tours threw the classes, and all of them seemed like fun, so you will definitely get your bang for the buck.
Tips for prospective students
notes, notes, notes, study, study, study, and that's about it. if you take good notes and study them just 20 minutes a day you will be a successful student.
Great for these types of students
The type of student that likes live people, not just people that will walk by you and say nothing, but people who will stop and ask you questions and get to know you because you look like a cool person.

Am enjoying being here
I am taking my classes online, and I love how flexible my schedules are.
Bang for the buck
Less expensive than other school, but same education.
Tips for prospective students
If you do not think you have the time for school, forget that thought! You always have time for school, especially if it is online! Online schedules work for you.
Great for these types of students
This school is great for students who have other responsibilities and can not afford to be tied down to one location.

Am learning a lot
I'm currently taking some of the highest levels offered and this school has the perfect enviornment for it! The classes have about 15-35 students per class and the teachers make themselves easily available during or after school. I feel the professors make sure you understand what's being taught and allow opportunities during class to ask questions if you're not sure. These professors really know how to teach!
Am enjoying being here
The enviornment allows you to be relaxed and have a good time, yet you can get serious about your work at the same time if you want. Most people tend to be easy going here and friendly. In the math courses that I'm taking, I've become good friends with some of my fellow students and people in class is always so willing to help you out if you can't figure out how to solve a problem or if you're not understanding a concept. It's amazing how everyone's so willing to help eachother out!
Bang for the buck
They have a variety of classes you can take, but the Honor's Program didn't offer many classes that I hadn't already taken that would go towards my degree. However, the Honor's Program did allow me to do a petition and I still received my honor's credits. And, of course, it's a lot cheaper going to PC than it is a university to get your associates!
Great for these types of students
I've seen many different kinds of students attend PC and they all tend to fit in one way or another.

Phoenix College is one of the best MCCCD colleges. The majority of the teachers are excellent at what they do and are passionate about teaching. The small size of the college provides an intimate setting where you can really get to know your classmates and teachers.
Tips for prospective students
Take any and all classes you want! It's community college, it's so much cheaper than anywhere else. If it sounds interesting, try it out! Also, get to know your instructors.
Academic Rigor
It definitely depends on the teacher. I'm in my third semester and I've only had one bum course. If you can, talk to people who are already enrolled and see which teachers they know.
Food and Dining
Typical cafeteria food. Decent stuff, burgers, chicken strips. Sushi is always a hit and miss.
What to do for fun
On campus there's frequent sports games and there's two shows in the theatre every semester.
Bang for the buck
Cheap classes, and if you get a good teacher, the quality is fantastic.

University of Phoenix offers a fun and challenging environment if one applies oneself. In any learning environment there will be pros and cons that one must address. In the end, it is up to the student to find the niche that they fit into rather than listen to wild rantings of disgruntled students.
Tips for prospective students
I would advise any prospective student to enter into conversations with their advisers with unbiased attention. It is very easy to get off track by listening to others instead of uncovering the truth for yourself. Not everyone that attends the university are actually ready to delve into style of learning
Academic Rigor
From day one, I have experienced a high quality learning experience. The instructors, for the most part, are receptive and helpful. In the end, you get out what you put in.
Bang for the buck
The university offers many items to students to enhance our experience here. However, it is up to the student to look into what is available and then reach out to the appropriate personnel.
Great for these types of students
I attend online, and this format is great for any student that has the time, dedication, and self discipline to log in and work. Students that want to get an education, but might not have the transportation to attend on ground classes could use this venue if they have the aforementioned attributes.
