Visit the science building where you can watch science shows on the ceiling, look at the numerous fliers, or go for a walk at the nearby Lake Waughop.

Join a club or intramural. There are tons of clubs at Pierce and it is easy to start one. If you are free in the afternoon, join choir. Anything to get to know people. There is a lake right behind campus that is really pretty to take walks around, but do not think you can swim in it. The gym on campus is nice as well. It is a commuter school, so you do not have quite as much to do as a university, but more than most community colleges.

Events and activities range from free arts and crafts decoration to masquerade balls and everything in between. Student life, outside vendors and assorted departments offer freebies, discounts, entertainment and speaking engagements. One week will offer a spaghetti dinner, the next will have a video game tournament and a third will include a banned book reading.
