Pittsburgh State University is a great campus. The best advice is join clubs and meet people to help your experience of being a college student. There is a great workout center that has many different equipment, and it also offers zumba, boot camp workout, and yoga. In the weede building there is a pol available for the students. 1. Don't walk on Broadway alone. 2. Apply for University scholarships early. 3. Make contact with your academic advisor within the first week of school. 4. Go to an early Pitt CARES. You'll get the classes you want, with the best instructors. 5. Don't drink and walk alone, or through town, if you're under 21. The cops WILL find you. 6. Prospective nursing students should know that the nursing program will not accept anyone with a drug or alcohol record-- even something as minor as an MIP. 7. Order your books, then read them, during the summer. 8. Bring plenty of red and gold. Pitt Pride is everywhere! 9. Look for outside scholarships. 10. Keep your grades up! 11. Finally, join an organization! (Or two, three... .Join ten!)
